You know what brother...I don't agree with you but I want to thank you for the most civil and well thought out statement I have seen so far. This whole process is better when people can discuss their viewpoints logically and I want to thank you for that.... (My vantage point would be that all boys have to learn to speak up for themselves but I would never tolerate any group of boys ganging up on a younger one or even a larger boy thinking he can bully kids for his own amusement)

(once again, not official NpO government position here, just a member) GOONS responded well to a discussion of the matter. My understanding is that their government was civil and the conversation was productive (props to them by the way)..... \m/ responded in a dramatically different fashion and achieved dramatically different results

It's easier to assume everyone can fend for themselves when you are #12 on the alliance list. When you are #140 the vantage point is different, this is so all those who are just getting their feet wet can do so without being tormented by someone for nothing but tech and lulz. We just want it to stop. We don't require reps or anything, we just want it to stop. People don't get to bully for free anymore, there is now a cost associated with bullying...

Keep in mind the following is not a governmental response, but just a member. I believe there was sit-down type meeting where polaris went over it's concerns. We've always thought tech raiding tiny alliances was not cool. We apparently expressed our disdain and inability to tolerate this bullying with all the alliances involved. GOONs were the only ones who were willing to sit down and discuss it in a civil manner. \m/ obviously resorted to both flaunting their policies and taunting us and the rest of Bob. I don't know all the details of the discussion that happened as it's way over my paygrade so you'll have to ask GOON and NpO gov about that... My assumption is that a tolerable concensus was reached about future policies on the matter. Unless I have mistaken Grub, he has made it clear that we don't expect anything more out of this whole deal than for bullying of tiny alliances for sport and tech to come to an end. Someone must be the one to stop it.

We recently had a GRL over 30 because the world was tired of feeling like the big guys could push us all around whenever they wanted. It would be wonderful to see that collective spine reappear. No one should live in fear of others penchant for frivolous bullying, everyone should live in fear of their own.

Most alliances with have their charter available for viewing in the public side of their forums... as for finding one that matches your style, check the alliance announcements section of this forum and you can get an idea what the personality of the alliances are like and which ones are respected...you also want to ask the alliance if it is at war before you join...once you're in during war, you're in for the ride in most cases I like the New Polar Order www.newpolarorder.net .....we're not a democracy as we only vote on the lower government but all members have a right to speak their opinion to the Emperor....we are a 50-50 of diplomacy and war in my opinion If you want a neutral alliance that doesn't fight or get involved in the political fight, try the Green Protection Agency We have starwars themed (New Sith Order), religious themed (Coalition of Christian Countries), booze themed (the Liquor Cabinet) and even macho fighting tiger themed (Siberian Tiger Alliance) The important thing to understand is that you can change if you find your first choice doesn't work for you, but be aware if your alliance is at war you are usually expected to stick it out until the end of the war. pm me if you have any questions, you don't have to join my alliance at all, the advice is free
