  1. "All this security, is it really required?" the Dalai Lama asked, but when with them anyway. He wasn't arguing the point, he was more interested in the question. If it was required, than for what purpose?

  2. Most of the trip the Dalai Lama reflected on what this could be about. With all the things happening in the world recently, it seemed as though anything was possible. He walked the sub at times, but mainly stayed in his cabin, debating himself on the possible events that could be taking place in the world.

  3. OOC: If yoi agree we can make a time-jump tomorrow. Gotta go to sleep now as I have classes again tomorrow and it's almost 10.30 pm here :)

OOC: Sounds good, I'm getting ready to go out to eat (4:30pm here)

  4. OOC: I take it you mean that by Orders?

    OOC: that was it :)

IC: "Very well, I thank you sir, and I will withdraw to my quarters to reflect on matters", the Dalai Lama gave a bow and went into his room, closing the door.

  5. "We expect it will only take 2 days as we are traveling at High Speed." After a short walk they would arrive.

"Here are Your Quarters... Our apologies it is so small but this is the best we could offer"the Officer said.

"It is far more than I need", the Dalai Lama said humbly, "I am sure that there are smaller quarters that I could use".

The Dalai Lama looked around, "Are there any special orders while I am on board?"

  6. "In that case", the Dalai Lama said as he started to follow the officer through the sub, not sure where he was going, "I can head to my quarters unless someone else has any plans for me. I have some thoughts to go over as we travel."

The Dalai Lama carefully followed the man through the hallways, "How long will our journey be?"

  7. The Dalai Lama continued forward looking for the Imperial Officer, finally spotting him. The Dalai Lama walked up to the side of the man, pointed down the street as if asking for direction, and said, "Peace be with you".

  8. Once in Forever Battlefield, he headed off towards the closest large port city, waiting to see when he would be contacted. He had his cell phone with him, but was unsure if Mr X. knew his number.

He wasn't sure how he would be contacted, but he knew that he had to keep moving to stay incognito.

  9. The Dalai Lama thought it best that no one know of his meeting, he left a brief message for the Panchen Lama explaining that he might be away for some time in the immediate future, he was unaware however that after laying the message down on the Panchen Lama's desk, that a quick breeze pushed the letter back to where it fell between the desk and the wall...

The Dalai Lama quickly left in common clothes, only packing the robe he normally wears, hailed down a taxi blocks away from the Hall of Honor and made his way towards the airport, where he purchased a ticket under his alias of Jetras Guang and headed off for Forever Battlefield.

  10. LHASA, Tibet - It has been two weeks now since anyone has seen the Dalai Lama. He was last seen walking out of the Hall of Honor after the Fracoist Minds Meeting. He hasn't been seen since. It is not uncommon for the Dalai Lama to partake of a wonderlust period where he walks around reflecting upon things, but normally he returns within a few days and if he is gone longer than that, the Panchen Lama is always left aware of his absence.

The Tibetan Police have had an APB out now for the 24 hours as the Dalai Lama is now officially missing. TNA has just now learned of this disappearence and is stunned. All of Tibet is now concerned for the safety and health of this venerable man who is a pillar to the Tibetan Society, Culture, and Leadership.

  11. OOC: heeeey the old man is my character o.O >:|

Th eold man grabbed feng by the ear

"you move to quickly, come now" he said, walking upright and dragging feng along

OOC: Sorry, I was trying to show you some more info about Feng Lu, didn't know how else to do it...

IC: "That was a dirty trick, coughing to get me close to you..." Feng Lu shot a fake hurt look at the old man.

    "So where are we going?"

  12. We have a request to Tibet: our King and his sister to stay in Tibet until the fighting is over, due to security concerns in the homeland.

Due to its neutrality, Tibet is a refuge for all, they are welcome to stay as long as they wish.

  13. OOC: Technically, the war is still on. It is, historically, one still going on until a treaty is signed that ends the war. That's what I mean.

OOC: Correct. I was in Taegu for a year while I was in the Army. They are 'technically' still at war since a ceasefire was the last agreement, and they never got around to signing a peace treaty. It has evolved into a 'cold' war over the years.

  14. Of course. I have enjoyed coming to Lhasa. We hope to see you in Beijing next time.

Then we will have the next meeting there! It was an honor to host you and to discuss Francoism. I feel that these talks are very useful and productive in helping us understand each other.

  16. Feng Lu jumped over the stick and did a somersault before landing in a crouched position.

"That hasn't worked in years grandfather", Feng Lu said giving the old man a respectful yet playful look.

"Still showing off as always eh, you could have easily just skipped over it, but no, not Feng Lu, not my grandson the Dalai Lama's head bodyguard. When will you ever understand the use of your skills?" the old man said.

"Grandfather, I know that the Dalai Lama knows my worth and my skills, but I still look for opportunity to keep them sharp. It's not like I have that difficult of a time handling the affairs that I am given", Feng Lu said.

The old man laughed, "It seems to me that you are handling more than just your duties here"

Feng Lu blushed, "I uh, was just uh, making sure that she got back to the suite okay..."

"...yes yes", the old man said dramatically, "because there are lots of dangers in the streets of Lhasa..." the old man laughed until he started coughing.

"I guess now I need to make sure you get back home safe, eh, grandfather?", Feng Lu put his arm around the old man and started back to the palace.

  17. I am merely a simple professor your holiness. However in my view this type of organization would have to be carefully controlled. I would be opposed it if it had a central authority over it as anything other than an administer for the facilities. Even if it had no real authority, if it had a leader who was the supposed head, he or she could slowly amass that power.

Of course, because soveignty cannot be respected if there was a central authority, that is understood. It would be more of a forum for countries instead of an organization.

These are good talks indeed, I feel that I have a better understanding of the Fracoist Nations now as well as a better understanding of world politics in general.

I thank you very much for your conversation, it has been enlightening indeed.

  18. In our mind this would be different than a military pact. Perhaps we are perceiving this differently. Maybe you could elaborate further on what it is.

Yes, it is different than a military pact, it is more or a diplomatic pact only. It is just a facilitating organization to encourage talks and diplomacy. In my view it would not be a police or have any military backing. Simply a facilitator between two nations to promote diplomatic agreement during a situation instead of resorting to war. Of course there would nothing to hold a nation to not using war first besides their word bound in the treaty. But a simple agreement to use the diplomatic accord for a 24 hour (RL) timeperiod prior to resorting to military action.

The perception of superior morality which characterizes the Zone of Peace is a trap that rulers have fallen into since the first ancient civilizations. If it was easy to escape the trap, the pattern would not have repeated itself through history so much.

That is certain. Tibet has never been intended to create this labeled "Zone of Peace" but we do understand now and see how your perception would view the attempts of a world entity.

Under this perception would it be feasible to have a world entity that was solely diplomatic and had no military power whatsoever? The sole purpose would be a facilitator to promote diplomacy for a short time prior to the break down in diplomatic relations in an attempt to prevent war. It could not enforce anyone to participate in the talks, the treaty itself would hold the only power, by which each nation would have its own choice to follow by joining the treaty.
