1. I think it's long been thought satellite improvements gave access to sats in space for military RP, as for the Space Program wonder... that I believed guided in the direction of having bigger than objects than sats in RP.
2.
Fred Logan Chancellor of the Hudson Bay Federation Gregory Rolan Minister of Foreign Affairs
3. "Welcome Minister Martin to Winnipeg," introduced Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Peter Wallack, "I am Peter Wallack, Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs for the Federation. Minister Rolan and Chancellor Logan send their greetings; however, they are both on official business to different countries at the moment. Besides myself, you'll be meeting with Vice Chancellor Dale Everett, one of our key founders of the Federation. Shall we?" Wallack pointed to the awaiting sedan and the security convoy. The party would enter the sedan and began their trip to the capital. After a 30-minute drive, they would arrive at the Executive Mansion where they would be whisked in to the main entrance.
4. "I was hoping due to our previous history that something more than 'optional' was the word I was looking for at this meeting. The intelligence and economic clauses are very acceptable at this time however," answered Logan. "We would also like to talk about the future of Ontario."
5.
Office of the Chancellor Hudson Bay Federation To: Government of Newfoundland & Labrador Subject: RE: Arrangement of a Meeting We would be delighted to host one of your representatives at Winnipeg to discuss relations at your earliest convenience. Sincerely, Fred Logan Chancellor of the Hudson Bay Federation
6. "The Federation is open to talks on economic and security arrangements at this time. Most people haven't forgotten the protection and economic boost your nation has given the former protectorate region and we would like to continue the relationship at a more official level," answered Chancellor Logan.
7. "The Federation would be very interested in your agriculture products to our markets. I think we can arrange that very easily. While our oil supplies are sufficient for now, I'm sure the heavy industries in the country would like to get the coal you produce. I would agree, the key to future success is our support to the manufacturing base of our country, whether it be airplanes to electronics hardware," replied Rolan. The minister would listen on and nodded in agreement. "I believe the economic agreement is very doable. I think that a security agreement of sorts could be in order. Our security arrangements so far are regionally based on the historic basis of Canada, but as we grown into a larger force in North America, it would be beneficial to have some allies to look for to offer fresh perspective to the problems in this part of the world. I doubt the folks back home would disagree with me on this, it's a very long-term outlook," answered Rolan.
8.
********Federation Military SecureNet******** To: Federation Base Commanders From: Federation Forces HQ Subject: Alert & Mobilization Changes As of 2200 Central Standard Time, the neighboring country of the Northern Imperium has been attacked by a coalition force from Europe and Asia. Hudson Bay Federation forces have been issued for emergency mobilization. All forces are to adhere to DEFCON 2 and FPCON Charlie. INFOCON 2 has been initiated as possibility of the conflict to grow larger is possible. Federation Global Strike Command has been issued the tasked for possible nuclear strike package options to be used as an option of last resort.
Mobilization Efforts E-5 Guardian AWACS and E-10 J-ABMCS (Joint Airborne Battle Management and Command System)from the 340th Air Control Wing based from Joint Base Yellowknife would observe the Imperium-Federation border airspace for the time being. About two squadrons of F-22 fighters were scattered with the planes to provide coverage for protection. The Federation Army would now send in the 10th Light Arctic Division to Yellowknife; however, would keep other units in current positions except the moving of the 4th and 5th Armored Divisions to Yellowknife that was almost complete. 24 hour patrols of four B-2 stealth bombers equipped with AGM-129 nuclear stand-off cruise missiles began regular patrols in the deep interior of the Federation awaiting further commands.
9. "I could use more of the Captain in here," Rolan inquired as he took out the Captain Morgan's and poured a shot. "Of course, that does conclude our business and yes the signatures for this MDAP as requested." 10. "We're looking at the raw resources at our disposal in the northern regions of the country as well as our established manufacturing and agriculture centers in Manitoba to continue the development of the country. Gold, uranium, oil, and diamonds have been initially screened by various geologists by the government and private companies in their dealings with the underdeveloped northern regions, we seek to change that," replied Rolan. "So far beyond our planned breakaway of Saskatchewan to the former Neo Romans, things economically have been going well. Wheat exports have been stable as well as basic manufacturing and textiles have been on a steady growth for some time. Something that we're lacking is iron, coal and other industrial metals that would make life easier."
11. Chancellor's secretary would receive the message and informed Logan of Greenland's response. He smiled and ordered the sedan to the front. He grabbed his long, black wool coat and went to the car. After a brief drive to the airport, he hopped onto the main Federation B-797 twin-engine governmental plane bound for Eyvindsson City. The flight was a smooth one, provided by experienced Federation Air Force pilots at the controls arrived in the capital city of Greenland within a few hours. After getting a clearance to land, it landed at it's pre-designated spot and began disembarking procedures. Chancellor Logan would step out of the plane and greet the Greenlandic representatives that were there.

13.
To: Greenland Foreign Ministry From: Office of the Chancellor, Hudson Bay Federation Subject: Arrangement of a meeting Greetings, On the behalf of the Federation, I would like to set up a meeting between us to discuss the furthering of historic relations between us. I would be delighted to hear from you at your earliest convenience. I would be glad to head to Greenland to meet. Best Regards, Fred Logan Chancellor, Hudson Bay Federation
14. "I think the Mexico-Greenland announcement did go a bit too far, even though the intentions were decent, it pained the administration at home at the level of distrust towards new nations like ours to ensure security for the Americas. I think they could have made more headway by getting more nations involved in ensuring the peace in the Americas, but I can't blame them too much at this point due to a lot of new nations like ours appearing and not having a firm opinion on our policies. I would say that Chancellor Logan wasn't too impressed with the news to say the least," replied Rolan. He would stretch his legs in the sedan a bit before continuing, "The feeling is mutual Minister, the Federation is a very simple nation and we're just now stretching out to the global community. I like the honesty, and I feel we'll walk away with a productive meeting."
15. Contractors on the Federation Air Force ICBM project have begun construction of a dozen nuclear silos scattered throughout remote locations in the Northern Territories. Due to their remoteness from any nearby roads, construction materials and security is being flown in. -Locations Finalized for ICBM Project- West Region - Sitidgi Lake Complex - East Great Bear Lake-Echo Bay Complex - Yellowknife-Lac de Gras Complex (about 150 miles NE of Yellowknife) - Banks Island Silo Manitoba Region - Southern Indian Complex - Granville Complex - Nelson River Nuclear Research Reservation East & Arctic Region - North Baffin Arctic Training Grounds - Ellsmere Island Complex - Rankin Inlet - Resolute Station - Victoria Island ______________________________________________________________ All Federation military assets in Saskatchewan have pulled out into Manitoba as the last Federation troops handed control to Prairie Union forces.
16.
The airport at Aruba was probably the most busiest of places on the island of Aruba, probably one of the only places on the vacation destination where people reluctantly felt the need the rush to catch their flights out, or get their vacations started as fast as possible by hastening to get a cab. Amidst this atmosphere, the government aircraft from the Hudson Bay Federation would be given priority clearance by the airport's control tower, diverting two flights coming from the mainland in the process. A few vacationers would have to endure a few extra minutes in the air as the priority flight of the day rolled into the airport. Once landed, the flight from the Hudson Bay Federation would be guided by aircraft control to taxi into the tarmac area usually reserved for light aircraft and more regional aircraft, across the expansive runway from the commercial terminal for long-range domestic and international arrivals. Minister Rolan's flight would be greeted with the usual preparations for a dignitary's appearance, with the red carpet rolled out, and a small contingent from the Presidential Honor Guard. At the bottom of the staircase from the flight, Rolan would find himself face to face with an older gentleman, and a younger, bearded counterpart. "Minister Rolan, welcome to Oranjestad, I am Lorenzo Barrachos," the older gentleman would say, stepping forward to shake Rolan's hand. After greeting him, Barrachos would present the younger gentleman, "This is President Ignacio de Ardanza." "A pleasure, Minister Rolan," added the Head of State, with a confident smile, extending his hand.
Gregory Rolan, a gentleman long known through Winnipeg during the Greenland protectorate era, he was reaching 65 in a few months and had the white hairs to prove his age. He broke traditional attire from the regular grey suit, white dress shirt and blue tie with a more tropical suit, a nice polyester/wool blend tan suit with a white shirt with a diagonal striped blue/grey tie. Gregory would shake both men's hand and said, "Thank you Minister Barrachos and President Ardanza. It is a great honor to be down here to discuss relations. The Federation is seeking to expand it's foreign affairs profile beyond the regional arena and this would be a great opportunity to discuss American issues with our southern brothers. So, thoughts on the recent Mexico-Greenland policy?"
17.
To: Office of the Foreign Minister of Greater Colombia, L. Barrachos From: Office of Foreign Affairs of the Hudson Bay Federation, Minister Gregory Rolan Subj: RE: Formalizing Diplomatic Relations Thank you for your interest in our nation Minister. I would be glad to represent the Federation in Aruba for this meeting. Regards, Gregory Rolan Minister of Foreign Affairs Hudson Bay Federation
Rolan would take one of the state sedans to the airport to fly to Aruba for the meeting. After a trip that lasted for most the day, he arrived on the island resort.
18. "The Hudson Bay Federation is wary of such a statement between Greenland and Mexico. While the Americas has been a unstable, the lack of trust to other American nations is unsettling. We'll be distancing ourselves further from this joint influence sphere over the Americas, if it was for peace... they could be more communicative to regional governments. We're sorry to see this even be brought up in the first place." - Chancellor Fred Logan to GBT journalists
19. Nathan Kipler Residence - 0200 On this particularly fateful morning, a group of UH-60s part of the 104th Special Operations Air Support Squadron were doing their "exercises" north of Winnipeg near Lake Manitoba. Instead of being empty, it was loaded to bear with several dozen Special Federation Service (SFS) troops enroute to the former Chancellor's residence. Dale Everett, held a lot of clout in the Federation deemed Kipler a liability if he spoke on the Prairie Union formation to the legislature and how it truly went down. "30 seconds to LZ," stated the Blackhawk pliot. He slowed on the throttle to get the UH-60 into a steady hover over the house as it came into site. "Okay boys, let's get ready, we're here! Lower the ropes," spoke Cpt. Jeff Patson into the squad radio. The ropes were thrown out and landed with a thud on the rooftop. The SFS troops dropped onto the roof one-by-one in succession and regrouped, some readying their guns as soon as got off. ________________________________________________________ "What the hell is that noise?" questioned Brianna Kipler, waking her husband up. "W-what honey?" said Mr. Kipler lazily. "There's some ruckus on the roof or something. Is that a helicopter?," stammered Brianna. "Yeah, oh..." replied Nathan. At that moment, the windows to their master bedroom shattered as smoke and flashbang grenades were tossed into the room. It was soon followed by loud shouts by the SFS breaking in, their MP7 sub-machine guns with holographic and laser sights shooting beaming red lines everywhere before settling on the couple. "Package secure, Capt'n," radioed Sgt. Edgar. "Affirmative, get the package to the extraction point right outside." The shouts and unanswered questions from the Kipler's continued until one of the men got fed up and sedated Mrs. Kilper as they roughly tossed them into the helicopter and it lifted off to a location further north. The SFS team didn't get in, but stayed behind to mess up the residence to when it went public, something else besides what just occurred was the official story. "Hello, Nathan." "Dale, my God, you did this?" "Of course. I needed you safe from the legislative commission the breakaway of Saskatchewan. I needed to ensure your 'departure'." "How so?" "Like this." "No..." screamed Nathan as Dale Everett put 3 rounds from his silenced P228. Then placed another 3 into Mrs. Kilper. "Dispose of the bodies," ordered Everett as the chopper flew over one of the many lakes in Northern Manitoba. As the chopper flew, Everett's assistants rolled the two bodies out of the chopper.
20. San Jose, California The collapse of the Californian Republic sent Aperture Science back into seclusion over the last couple years. Many of it's facilities laid vacant as internal instability grew after the fateful months of civil war engulfed the republic in it's waning days. While it operated still in California, the Laboratory's real estate portfolio was set to expand once again as the Mexicans established themselves over North America. As for the research mission to Antarctica, it was scrapped indefinitely; however, the icebreakers remained docked in Drogheda awaiting such a day to fulfill their purpose... and that day seemed on the horizon. OOC: I'm resurrecting this, but if you have an objection Voodoo, say something.
21. "Indeed Mr. Smith, nothing like nice, cool beer to start off talks. I'm glad to hear more equipment is arriving to speed up progress on the road. Materials-wise, it's more labor-intensive materials that are in shortage at the moment, but the factories are in-line to close the shortage gap. The icebreakers were no problem, and your welcome. The Federation would approve the suggestions for a treaty that you are proposing now. We would like to hand over the Dalsan port in the Arctic for your use, but we would also like to keep part of the port facilities for shipping out goods from up there. The highway will be joint-use obviously, we'll allow your nation unrestricted access to the highway without a border crossing point."
22. Minister Rolan would take the beer and drink it in the car with James. As he went into the meeting room and took a seat, he mused to his host, "You do have a love for beer Mr. Smith, I'll take couple more as we begin this meeting." He would catch a couple more beers and would kick off the meeting. "So, what does the Prairie Union want in advancing the relationship between us? I would like to update your government on Federation troop withdrawl in Saskatchewan is moving smoothly; however, in other news, the civilian contractors working on the Arctic-to-Prairie Highway has ran into significant engineering problems and a temporary supply shortage in bridge material."
23. "Of course, Mr. Smith. Straight to business is fine with me. Lead the way."
24. The Federation Corps of Engineers was coordinating with Neo Roma personnel at the Arctic port of Dalsan with the construction of a large airstrip and offloading at the growing port facilities stretching into the Arctic Ocean to get supplies offloaded. Meanwhile, civilian construction crews building the road between Dalsan and the new Prairie Union was facing stiffer difficulties as crews moved further into Permafrost territory and numerous lakes presented engineering crews with shortages in pre-case concrete panels and steel girders needed to build bridges. It would take at least another three months before a crude gravel road could be usable.
25.
To: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Prairie Union From: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hudson Bay Federation The government of the Hudson Bay Federation will gladly accept the invitation of meeting in Saskatoon. Expect my arrival in a few hours. Gregory Rolan Foreign Affairs Minister of the Hudson Bay Federation
Minister Rolan would leave Winnipeg on one of the government's jets to arrive in Saskatoon. It would land at the international airport there after a very short trip.
