I commend you on this. However, actions speak louder than words, and we'll see where things stand post this war. While it's easy to blame NPO for their wrong-doings, don't you think the blame lies a bit with everyone? How many times have people just sat down and let it pass, or given them a slap on the hand, or something akin to that? You cannot blame the monster alone for it's existence. I think that, in some small way, we're all Dr. Frankenstein of this monster.Please note: I am a member of a rather neutral alliance, and enjoy bantering. I think that, no matter who beats the living crap out of who, someone is going to take NPO's place as Dictorial Alliance Supreme. It's both the Way of the World, and Human Nature, if there's a difference between the two. My point is, you can beat down NPO. Hell, take on IRON, TPF, GGA, and everyone else who ran from NPO at the first mention of war. Though whether or not they've truly run has yet to be determined. Regardless of that, you must realize that if you beat down everyone who could reign supreme, you yourselves will probably become the menace that you worked so hard to destroy. please note: the "you" in the above statement is a general one, and not one aimed at any specific alliance.

The amusement I find in all of this is that Dark Fist actually pushes everyone to vote for OUR senator. Their not voting for Dark Fist changes nothing. If they quit voting for us, now THAT would be a change. o/Soldier! Good work!

I confess that I (and perhaps everyone I'd spoken with) forgotten about the manhattan project entirely, USoE. THough HHAYD does have a good point: coming up with 300 million isn't exactly a quick process when you're netting far less than that.

I apologize for not putting this in the proper place. I (along with the rest of my alliance, actually) tend to stay away from the CN Forums. I thought this seemed like an apt place. Oh, and the logic behind the whole two or three times as much in upkeep is to force them into being something that yes, is buyable, but you've to be either expecting war, or damn crazy to be willing to keep them when you're a weak nation. Also, if you're small nations that both have nukes, you don't've any of the protective wonders... meaning that wars would be solved much quicker, and generally diplomatically? perhaps? I imagine it'd make tech raiding hellish for those who couldn't get/afford nukes...

Awhile back in IRC we* were discussing changes we thought would make the game a tad more interesting, and one of them was the idea of larger nations being able to sell nukes to smaller nations, much the way technology is sold. It was agreed that said smaller nations would've to pay more in upkeep (2-3 times as much was initially thought), since technically they'ren't nuke 'legal' nations, and you're paying for the maintence of the nuke, plus the funds associated with hiding the silos,and all of that. So what does the community at large think of this idea? *I say we because it was late, and I don't remember who. I think it was in Echelon's channel, though it could've been our own.

I have lead and aluminum, and am willing to join. Only catch is that I've to have a trade circle of either black or maroon. It's an alliance thing.
