  1. Off-topic:

Strange, your alliance affiliation says Orange Defense Network, yet the people fighting in this war are FEAR, NV, NoV, and LSF. Remind me how you're involved to a point that necessitates the amount of posts you've made in this thread?

While I support your side here, I really do dislike that argument. The Kaiser, by announcing this in a public area, opened this to public discussion. It is not your place to criticize others for choosing to take part.

  2. AS I knocked another 40 infra of a GOONs nation using one Tupolev, i wondered what would have happened if this had been the other way round, and instead of folding they had fought on and won (somehow).

What would CN be like. What would have happend to the ~ nations which they poured so much scorn on.

Then they would have won.

  3. GOONS was out to destroy CN?

    Mhmm. Right.

I think for the first time in the history of the forums, a tl;dr works better than the actual post.

    "Don't piss off the Cyberverse."

  4. I absolutely agree. I think it's time to recognize that "lulz" alliances will at least be frowned on in the future, and will most likely be attacked at whatever point for whatever reason. For those of us who used to be in one (however briefly) it's time to say "gg Orders" and move on to operate afresh under the current paradigm.

If there were 18 wars of this magnitude, a numbering system would make for easier reference than separate names for each. I proposed above that we use both in parallel.

Firstly, defining "Great Wars" as being based on the involvement of your own alliance is... well, I should say that I can't imagine why you would expect everyone on Planet Bob to go along with it. Any other alliance could do the same, and you would disagree with them. Standardization of terminology is about general agreement, based on clarity and convenience.

Secondly, this was a struggle between the Orders and their (ex-)allies, so it would seem even more significant. And the League/AEGIS "side" has been beaten down repeatedly and thoroughly enough that that axis of polarization is long dead, and unlikely to resume in any similar fashion. We're just not going to see the (roughly) same two sides we used to see.

Finally, this war fits the appellation "great" by six of the top seven definitions of the word:

    great

    "adjective

    1. unusually or comparatively large in size or dimensions: A great fire destroyed nearly half the city.

    2. large in number; numerous: Great hordes of tourists descend on Europe each summer.

    3. unusual or considerable in degree, power, intensity, etc.: great pain.

    4. wonderful; first-rate; very good: We had a great time. That's great!

    5. being such in an extreme or notable degree: great friends; a great talker.

    6. notable; remarkable; exceptionally outstanding: a great occasion.

    7. important; highly significant or consequential: the great issues in American history.

    (from dictionary.reference.com)

Possibly all seven, depending on which side you were on. ;)

    Definitely all 7.

  5. Article IV: Amendments to the Charter

Any nation can submit a motion to amend the Charter to the Body of Believers floor. Discussion will take place for a period of no less than 8 hours but no more than 52 weeks. If a supermajority (defined herein as 75% + 1) of the member nations voice support for the amendment before the 52 week time limit is reached then the motion will be considered passed and carried. If it does not reach the supermajority before the 36 hour limit the motion will fail.

    this does not make sense.

    52 weeks!?
