  1. I never claimed there were not disrespectful individuals on both sides. Your reading far to much into my comment. That still however doesn't change what it is and how people should react to it.
  2. I have apparently overestimated Vox's intelligence. Laugh away I suppose.....
  3. They know it's a strategy, they are just using it to mock us like some of us would be doing to them if the situation was reversed. Just ignore the petty taunting, it will not affect the outcome.
  4. OOC: War is a lot of fun and this one looks like it might be a blast. If you (OP) don't want to fight I can respect that but let the rest of us enjoy ourselves. IC: My nation's transportation is fueled by the blood of the unborn. Supplies are running low.
  5. I was in the GPA for about a year. Left during the dishonesty of the CK/Valid drama. Still love those damn hippies though. Glad to see I was forgettable You'll get yours GPA :jihad: o/
  6. If you or anyone you know would like to volunteer to our nuclear testing program click here and choose one of our fine nuclear specialists. In exchange for your time we will assist in the restructuring of your nation; streamlining military operations, optimizing infrastructure, and re-purposing the work force.
  7. Come on man there is no harm in just admitting TPF got the best of you on this one. Doitzel admitted it denying it only makes you look like a sore loser.
  8. What resources are spent on this war I'm confident are offset by the experience gained by the young nations in range. As for security concerns they will exists with or without FAN so I don't see that as a noticeable gain.
  9. It is not an uncommon view but when one is responsible for the security of many others one must make decisions that are in the best interest of all involved. To constantly, and knowingly put your membership at risk is a lot to ask of them. I do not know what I would do in that position but I will not condemn those that are and took a different path.
  10. While I thank you for the kind words I would like to note that I am not tasked with overseeing the well being of my fellow allaince members or our allies. When making decisions for your membership and allies, comprised of different view points, you can not selfishly choose the path you desire.
  11. While I respect Vladimir's logic, it is the safe and smart thing to do, I do not share it. I would like to see FAN given peace in the hope they would rebuild and become a threat again. As an individual with confidence in my alliance's and allies ability I do not fear FAN or others who wish us harm. I welcome the opprotunity to prove our skills time and time again and if we fall I'd expect to be given the same chance to rebuild and fight again. That is my idea world.
  12. I understand your view. The Continuum in it's present form is quite formidable. Over the past months however I have seen several allaince begin to sway, begin to share an opposite view point. Does that equate to wanting to destroy former/current allies? Certainly not but I see the potential there, perhaps only becuase I'm looking for it. As for IRON, I like any member of any allaince, want to see IRON on top. To be the best is a goal we should all share. IRON is constantly competing in many areas to be the best it can however the one people use as a measuring stick is political influence. In that arena it's hard for anyone on the outside, which includes me, to really know exactly how much political weight an allaince caries. So yes IRON is striving to be the best allaince in this world but as an honorable alliance we do not so at the detriment of those we consider allies.
  13. 5. I want to see some real competition, the potential for which exists at this very moment, materialize so that the continuum can prove to itself that it can win an even sided war.
  14. Ok fine lets do this here. For starters can we please acknowledge that my views and those of my allaince/allies are not 100% identical. Dismissing my views becuase of something I was apart of did the opposite may be easy but it is not accurate. As I stated before I do not share all their views or agree with all of their decisions. I convey those in private though where they should remain. Now to the point at hand. Regardless if you believe me or not I want to see competition in this world. I felt this way as a member of the GPA and I feel it still as a member of IRON. When choosing an alliance I do not concern myself with their place in this world but rather it's core values. I chose IRON after exiting the GPA becuase of their reputation as a respectful allaince at the time and after having been a member for quite some time I am proud to remain one. There have been bumps in the road but a good member try's to change their allaince for the better instead of bolting at the first disagreement. Being a member of the second strongest allaince in this game who is a part of the strongest bloc in this world I should be content with the current situation. We (Continuum) are winning after all. I am not though becuase there is little pride in dominating when the competition is weak to non-existent. I want to prove that we (Continuum) are the best but in order to do that we must first face formidable competition. Now many of you contend that in order to create that competition I should do it myself or that the Continuum should handicap itself to help form one. I do not believe that to be necessarily. At this moment there is the potential for a rival bloc, there is seemingly enough opposition to give me what I want. The problem is no one thus far has taken the steps necessary to create one. Something is holding them back from doing what they claim on the forums needs to be done. I tire of reading the potential opposition complain about us yet fail to do the one thing that will actually make a difference. So is it hypocritical to want competition? I don't think so. Perhaps I have more faith in the perceived opposition's ability then even they do but I think it can happen even in the face of adversity. I'm not asking anyone to walk off a cliff, to charge head first into certain death, I'm merely asking that they work to create a valid opposition.
  15. I have no delusions of my skills. It very well may be my inability to articulate the point clearly enough. The prejudice shown me here, simply due to my alliance of choice, doesn't help though. Some of you really shouldn't be so quick to judge or presume you understand a persons intentions.
  16. I exited because I did not wish to face the wrath of the "Gods" for going so far off topic. In the appropriate thread I would gladly continue this discussion especially since so many have misunderstood/misrepresented my views on this matter.
  17. My version of correcting it may differ from yours but doesn't invalidate it. The crowds love hypocrisy so long as it's coming from "their" side. At least be honest. This has gotten far too off track. Farewell thread.
  18. I truly want competition. Do not be so quick to assume becuase I am a member of a major allaince that I enjoy the status quo or are only making these statements to goad alliances to their doom.
  19. I agree. I have unfortunately not been in that situation but that doesn't mean I can not grow tired of the current state of things. I should not lose my right to state this opinion simply because I haven't been a part of a beat down.
  20. Actually I'm not saying that at all. Being on "top" doesn't give us special privilages. It's simply the place every allaince in this game should strive to get to. Given the hostility displayed by some, one would expect to see a few challengers but they never seem to materialize. As for this situation at hand I have no intimate knowledge of who was involved or how the proceedings took place so it's hard to condemn or condone the actions of certain participants.
  21. Oh yes, because that's my personal decision . I have no more control over the odds of the war my allaince enters then you do. What I can control, the number of targets, has always been the most possible. I WANT an even sided war but I don't have a magic wand and I'm not going to leave my allaince for such a petty reason.
  22. I twisted no one's words, just hoped for something different. This is less a "DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT" post and more a reflection of my current philosophy. I just grow tired of the constant back and forth which results in nothing. This world needs more conflict and not of the verbal variety. I'm pro-excitement.
  23. I hope not. I keep waiting for someone to actually have the balls to stand up to us with force instead of waiting for us to come knocking. (OOC: It's just a game guys. We are on top of the hill right now, stop complaining about it and come try to push us off for a change. It's more fun that way.)
  24. I look silly because I am against what VE did based on your perception of errors on my alliance's part in the past? There have been plenty of times I have been unhappy with how issues have been handled by "our side" however I do NOT complain about such matters in public, I have too much respet for my alliance and our allies. If that makes me look "silly" then so be it. If the NPO had canceled on VE in this manner many of the very same people praising the move would be bashing it and vice versa. My stance is that it is wrong regardless of the participants. I personally prefer even sided conflicts and have stated, even publicly in the past, that I'm against stamping out potential enemies before they pose a real threat. I've been begging for a real challenge for some time now and this thread along with some other indicators have me salivating over the possibilities.
