  1. This is good in principle and I agree, but in reality a lot of alliances have a choice between horrible surrender terms, disbanding, or getting crushed. While FAN has taught us that it is possible to do a lot of damage and if willing to fight on you can even outwait your opponents, would you really rather see Pacifica reduced to a shadow of it's former self for the sake of keeping it alive?

Perhaps I am wrong, but that doesn't seem in character with the proud Pacifican way.

Obviously, you have very little understanding of the "Pacifican Way" if you believe it would trade its ideals for a small measure of power that it could easily work to regain after the war is fought.

  2. Didn't you make a similar post when people started to say "LOL GOING TO THE MOON" after great war 3?

It sucks to lose a war in the age of harsh terms(As opposed to the times when an apology was enough to end fighting). Would you allow The Order (If you were in charge) to be a neutered version of itself? I suspect if you were in a position of defeat you'd either fight to the death like FAN or GOONS or simply have Pacifica end while at its height, with pride, like \m/. I can't quite imagine you or any Pacifican Emperor allowing the NPO to become a tech farm or colony for another alliance.

This always happens in these sort of games, when one side wins they go trough about a week of "Damn it, did I just break the game?" and they take it out by being angry at the losers for being "cowards". Most will come back, those who do not will be replaced by others.

You should do more research. The Orders stand and fight, period. There is no pride is quitting.

  3. Note: While I have been reinstated in the NPO and maintain an advisory position in NpO as well I do not speak officially for either alliance. The following is simply a short observation and comment on certain issues.

What is going on in the Cyberverse these days? Alliances now disband when they lose a war? Alliance leaders publicly tell their members that they are failures and that they have no hope? What the Hell is wrong with you people?

Why wouldn't an alliance face defeat in battle straight up and without cowardice? Why would anyone let their leadership tell them to leave the alliance they worked to create just because they proved to be weak in the face of superior forces? That is absurd.

To those that are quitting the game because you lost in a war, good riddance. This place is better off without your bellyaching. To those that are sticking around, what is wrong with you? Why are you turning over and playing dead?

It is pathetic to continuously see threads from people that have been around for 6-9 months declaring the game over because the NPO/NpO have superior numbers at present. So what? If you don't like it do something about it and do it in a straightforward and upfront manner, not through juvenile OOC attacks.

There will always be those that oppose the group in power. It is possible that one day the group in power will not be the Orders. When that time comes I hope to be here standing proud against the forces of oppression instead of crybabying and leaving the game.

  4. I was one of said subjects who ruined the mans fun, but I still respect the man for being unabashedly honest.

He wouldn't take crap from trolls and flamers, and really, most of you can't say any more.

    Yes, yes I can.

  5. Maybe he wasn't having anymore fun with said GAME, so therefore he decided to stop playing said GAME.

If that was his reason as stated, instead of "my subjects couped me so I am quitting" then I wouldn't have commented.

  6. There seems to be an abundance of people attempting to dictate to Pacifica what is or is not "honorable" in this thread, primarily from swindlers, thugs and extortionists who wouldn't know an honorable decision if it bit them in the ass.

Pacifica is now and has always been the very definition of honorable. To stand up for your brother, even when you disagree, or have disagreed, with their decisions is honor. The Ordinance of Order predates any of the treaties that many are flaunting now, it supercedes all other agreements and pacts, it is beyond diplomacy.

I have already addressed the error in comparing these events to what occurred with the Imperial Accords, to continue to post comparing the two shows a new level of ignorance in the Cyberverse. Bravo.

There is no honor in keeping useless and defunct treaties intact if they bind you to dishonorable people.

  7. I would have been saying that in private even if I was still neutral. And yes, your objectivity is famous. Actually I always thought it was kind of cool that you'd say "what's right for Pacifica is what's right," even when it enraged others.

What is right for Pacifica is what is Right.

    Happy?

  8. Ivan: (something about fighting us real soon)

El Bruc: Did you just DoW in the name of the NPO?

Ivan: I speak for Pacifica, not the Pacifican government.

    1: Ivan speaks for Pacifica

2: Ivan does not speak for the Pacifican gov

3: The Pacifican gov may or may not speak for Pacifica, depending on whether they agree with Ivan (1,2)

El Bruc: WTF? On what planet does that make sense?

    Sponge: Bob.

Logically, yes. Factually, not yet I guess.

    No.

Ivan speaks on behalf of Pacifica.

Ivan does not speak for the NPO government.

The NPO govt speaks through Moo, or whoever he delegates, at present it is not Ivan.

Pacifica is the ideal on which the Orders are founded, many are qualified to speak on its behalf.

  9. Read the part earlier in this thread where Ivan stated that he speaks for Pacifica but not the Pacifican Government, after stating that NPO would be going to war.

Logical corrolary: The Pacifican Government does not speak for Pacifica.

    Sponge backed that statement.

The first does not automatically lead to the second, logically or factually.

  10. The Legion entered a war and broke their treaty with the NPO with zero regard to the cancellation period set up by the Imperial Accords.

There us a marked difference, I know, I wrote the treaty. Many of those commenting on it here and making such a poor analogy were not even a part of the Cyberverse at the time.

  11. Being Emperor in the Order means making difficult and sometimes unpopular decisions. It is a mark of true leadership when those hard decisions can be made with grace and honor, as we are observing here.

Since it has been an issue of some discussion within this thread I will say for my part that a great deal of the issues that I had with Moo have been rectified with this statement. This act restores my faith in the ability of Emperor Revenge to lead the Order to greater success.

Not only do I personally feel vindicated in this final realization of whom Pacifica's true allies are, but I finally believe that the Orders can succeed without my hand.

    Hail Moo!

    Pacifica Prevails!

  12. Please, feel free to spend your time commenting on how irrelevant I am instead of addressing the issues in this thread while I sleep. *rollseyes*

    OOC:

I wonder if people will ever get their heads out of their asses long enough to realize that if I can come in and steal the show with a handful of posts that no amount of !@#$%*ing about my irrelevance makes it true. Have fun.

  13. You talking about the NPO, or just you? 'cuz last time I looked, Pacifica's got far more unjust friends than pompous dicks. Of course, if you're going to go over to the pompous dick side, then change your AA already. You know what to.

I don't speak for the NPO, or the NpO.

If my status in that regards changes I will send you a letter, certified mail, just to let you know since it is obviously a concern to you.
