  1. Well we can always hope for everyone in CN to rise against the Orders(and Valhalla) all at once than we could finally be free of there evil which of coarse will be replaced by a lesser evil but hey at least you wouldn't have to show them respect as they die

    Been there, done that.

    You missed it.

  2. alright lets see if I can cover everything.

    The order is evil

everything they do has an ulterior motive

If everyone allows this there will be no one left

    YOUR NEXT

    Ivan moldavi ate my baby.

I think i got it covered guys so you can all go away now.

At least five of the things you mention are true.

  3. I may be reading into this too much, but are you saying your goal with ONOS was not to rebuild but to cripple it as viceroy?

Cripple is a strong word (and not the topic at hand anyway).

I showed them that they only needed to find a strong core to work with and that they could stand to lose the rest, which did benefit the NPO in the longterm because ONOS proved to never be a threat to Order security again.

  4. In regards to the topic at hand, why all this talk of respect?

When has the Cyberverse ever respected the Order more than just to pay lipservice to it in order to avoid the Jackboot?

The respect of those that would see the Order falter isn't worth having.

  5. Ivan Moldavi couldn't do it with ONOS, lets see if Z'ha can with Legion.

    Good luck. ^_^

Odd, I thought he neutralized a threat while getting the Order out of a pointless war just in time to prepare for a real one. You didn't see it that way? ;)

  6. I have stood with Electron Sponge on the field of battle here in the Cyberverse a multitude of times and have never believed my flank to be undefended, overwhelmed or anything less than absolutely magnificent in the face of the enemy.

Electron Sponge stood with me when I sacrificed my honor to save my alliance and he stood with me when my alliance tried to sacrificed its honor to disown me. Lucky for me the latter was temporary and easily corrected but the unwavering support of Electron Sponge and the New Polar Order will forever be in my memory.

Electron Sponge and myself are cut from the same mold, we are unrelenting in battle, unforgiving in retribution and stalwart in support of the ideals of greater Pacifica, at almost any cost. He has led the New Polar Order into greatness and leaves it in more than capable hands.

We will never remember Electron Sponge as a diplomat. We will never remember him for his compassion or grace, but we will remember him. We will remember him as a tough as nails !@#$%^& that never gave up and never compromised in the face of pressure, who always did what was best for his alliance's honor even when it might not have been best for their tanks.

I salute Emperor Electron Sponge, the greatest Emperor of the New Polar Order, and hail Emperor Assington while acknowledging that he has incredibly huge shoes to fill.

    Hail Electron Sponge!

    Hail Unistrut!

    Hail Hall Monitor! :P

    Hail Emperor Assington!

    Polaris Prevails!

  7. I take issue to that.

I've protested him and been proven right. I also do not do this from ZI, quite the opposite.

I understand your loyalty, but claiming all his naysayers have been ZIed just makes the ones that are in fact stronger mad.

It will be the last time if I have anything to do with it.

This is a prime example of "time and place".

  8. So, based on the acts of one member out of more than a thousand, a member that isn't even from government, you can tell that our whole alliance has derailed? And may I know which relations and leaders you are talking about? If you could see our internal forums you would see that our members are nothing other than disgusted by the entire OOC attacks thing that GOONS and others did during the UJP issue. Sorry, but you have just pulled this "bleeding" (blending?) of cultures out of nowhere.

No, as I stated, it is simply the latest incident. Also, I was clear to imply that the leadership was directing the current undertones and changes without the general membership possibly being aware, so your open forums wouldn't have such indications, correct?

As to the specifics, no, you may not know, at least not from me. Perhaps you should ask your leaders? Regardless of the general memberships stance on some of the issues, the Orders have always stood behind the idea that the leaders of the alliance speak for the members as a whole, therefore, if you choose to be a member of an alliance that has irresponsible leadership then you accept the consequences that come along with that choice.

  9. Allowing unregulated free speech in an IRC channel doesn't violate neutrality, in fact that is as neutral as you can make an IRC channel.

There is a difference between being neutral and being neutered.

I don't have to kill the dog that comes into my house and takes a crap on my carpet but I sure as Hell don't have to let him stay indoors.

  10. Personally, I simply believe this to be the newest sign that the GPA has, perhaps, lost its direction. One could almost project the idea that they are actively seeking means to counter potential threats, even without the direct knowledge of the general membership. The relationship between a number of GPA leaders and certain ranking officials in GOONS causes a great deal of concern above and beyond this latest OOC incident, which is just an indication of bleeding cultures.

  11. Then who would you have to war? You'd wind up just like the GPA. Sitting and buying Infra and doing nothing politically.

If an enemy isn't evident one must be manufactured.

There will always be those that stand in opposition to what is right and just, those with moral failings and delusions of a corrupt Pacifica, we will always be here to stand against them.

  12. What about giving apologies then taking them back? Doesn't that go against your word?

I'm not trying to bring ya down man, This is an argument.

Yes, if you equate retracting a personal coerced apology, that was fully vindicated through two subsequent "great wars" with a whole alliance disregarding a personal oath, taken voluntarily by a large number of members that joined ODN after the Citrus War, and launching a surprise and unjustified attack as the same thing. It is no small boost to my ego (if that is possible) to have you equate my simple statement to the whole of the ODN.

I should note that this opinion in no way reflects my current opinion of the ODN.

  13. That is entirely untrue, and you must be aware of it. You can't simply attribute the entire coaLUEtion to supporting Yaridovich. The man wasn't even playing the game when the war started. It was about defending an alliance we did not feel deserved its fate for a few choice members' laughs.

I did not support Yaridovich's words at all, yet somehow this is against your reality. Is this not odd to you?

The leadership of the alliance represents and speaks for the alliance and its members. If the members of the LUEnited Nations didn't wish to be held responsible for the actions of their leaders then they should have made better choices in selecting an alliance to join.

  14. I fought for and negotiated peace for the ODN in the Great Stupidity. To characterize our fight as one defending Yari's action is specious and base. We did not enter the war immediately because we were conflicted on that point. Ultimately it was our written word to defend LUE against what many felt were unneccesary agression and violence employed by the Orders. We dissolved the UFO shortly after engaging. And before anyone erroroneously represents the facts, we did exactly as the NPO has done several times since and announced our release from the Citrus War surrender terms prior to firing the first shot.

I have a unique view from the deep inside of the onset and eventual resolution to that conflict. And I hold the opinion that both sides were wrong on multiple points. It is this personal conclusion that supports my continued use of the term, Great Stupidity.

This isn't exactly true, Neboe. The Citrus War surrender terms did not have a cancellation clause so when you broke your word and went against the oath (even if I had stated that I would be releasing the ODN from it in the near future) you did something that the NPO has never done. To say otherwise is misleading at best.

I stood on the side of Right and Justice in the Great Patriotic War, just in case anyone didn't know.

  15. If the structure of a treaty includes a cancellation clause then following the procedures of that clause can not logically be considered disregarding the treaty, any that state otherwise are simply wrong.

Also, I have seen a few comments comparing the Orders to the GPA. This is a mistake, there is no comparison. The GPA is not a military alliance, it is little more (no offense intended) than organized noncombatants. Just as we saw with another large alliance in the past that had not fought in any major conflict, if the GPA were to go to war it would be ineffective at best.

In regards to GOONS boycotting the Cyberverse, so be it, we will push forward. It isn't the first time an alliance has crumbled and disappeared, it won't be the last.

  16. A Reichsmarshal of the NpO asking if there is a war going on?

Must be a lack of communication.

However, that is true there is little coming from GOONS. If I were in their spot I wouldn't have gone quietly.

You have gone quietly more than once if memory serves correctly...

  17. Hmmm, if I were more cynical I'd say this was flamebait... :awesome:

Not at all. Throughout the history of the Cyberverse a huge part of warfare has been the rhetoric involved. A few strong words to the masses can sometimes overcome a few nuclear warheads in your backyard. There is no propaganda, no charisma, nothing. If I didn't go to the war listings I wouldn't know anything was happening at all. How drool.

  18. Evident to think correctly of a paramount statue.

I do not recall Moo making an Imperial statement on Ivan's reinstatement though.

You carry the NPO tag on this forum...perhaps you should check the NPO forum. If you can't see it there then you should probably correct the error in your selection here. Either way, it would be best to be up to speed on things before commenting on them. ;)

  19. I know that there are declarations (weeks old), and as a member of the New Polar Order I know that there are ongoing battles, but I have to ask, since there is a suprising lack of rhetoric these days, is there actually a war taking place in the Cyberverse today?

Even in the face of defeat it would seem that the losing side would have enough pride to stand up and speak out instead of going quietly into the night.

Have the soldiers phoned it in?
