Oh good god this is hilarious. I thought the age of e-lawyers had finally ended. Oh how I was wrong... so very wrong. As much as I dislike TLR, the fact that they are essentially taking IRON's place in defending an ally is quite telling.

That is a wall of text and pictures my eyes wasted action potential on.

All of these are awful. I see no "Done by Silent" references. If these are to be official, they need a "Done by Silent" reference you mooks.

Alas the timing is abysmal. :( Maybe next time? That reminds me!

I could have made it sweeter. :3Those MI6 guys had a pretty solid month.
Mmm, war sanction race is best sanction race. -
Reminds me of a rather fitting theme. At least, the rhetoric fits the general mood.

Will the real #10 please step up?

Well.
This feels a tad different. It almost makes me feel dirty. Almost. -
Giving a literal definition of sending someone back into the stone age.Gravedigging, technically, but still relevant:
To: (unlucky recipient) From: CubaQuerida Date: 9/30/2013
Subject: Nuclear Attack
Message: Your nation has been attacked with nuclear weapons by CubaQuerida. Your fallout shelters have limited the damage caused by this attack. You lost 35324 soldiers, 0 defending tanks, 0 cruise missiles, 48.000 miles of land, 538.811 technology, 1,616.434 infrastructure, 50% of your aircraft, and 18% of your nuclear vulnerable navy force. In addition to these losses your nation will experience several days of economic devastation. -
NPL is great people. MI6 has Gibs in it... so MI6 is automatically a turrrrrible group. :) Congrats to both parties!

I am surprisingly ambivalent about this. All the same, good luck to the former members, and good luck to the holy warriors bringing justice to the haughty heathens.

Yet grudges just end up perpetuating into new grudges. It ceases to ever finish. It is difficult for this to happen, because there are so many grudges. Alliance A cannot be expected to consider a grudge against alliance B settled because alliances C&D rolled alliance B. When you have an enemy, you want to have a hand in harming them, not live out the harming of them vicariously through others. My personal view on grudges is they are not settled, till they are settled personally.
-
If only people could abide by that notion on both sides of the aisle. What can I say? I'm all for people forging their own destinies, you guys aren't the same people you were 2 years ago. Neither are we. Holding onto grudges that long really gets old...

We are all wondering if and when you will get over yourself. Other than that, your not even a twinkle in most of our minds. Some other SF! .gov can feel free to correct me if I'm making presumptions about their preoccupations, though.I'll rephrase the question: will ex-SF alliances and members ever cease to loathe me?
The answer to my question is the same as the answer to yours. -
I'd say that most of SF!, at least those involved in the backroom dealings, can agree that MJ successfully served its perceived purpose. Had DH not jumped the gun, you could have claimed a technical all-around victory. Unfortunately, DH was "that guy" who let loose their arrow before being told to fire (OOC: see that scene from Lord of the Rings, the Two Towers). Either way, my rambling and MJ's internal dealings aside, you guys completed what you set out to do. No matter how you cut it, I'd call that efficiency.I think we shall have to agree to disagree with your views on MJ. Certainly thigs didnt work out exactly as we wanted or planned(then again what ever really does?) but id say that we accomplished a good showing and had fun doing so. sorry if that wasnt something you consider good or valuable but its your prerogative to think as ya like, though im kinda disheartened to see vitriol coming out of someone involved in MJ. Que ser sera I spose.
Have a good day Joe, hopefully the ranting will start to get rid of your pent up anger at how things went down in MJ and maybe one day you can accept it for what it was and come to peace with that as no one needs such anger regarding a project made for a specific purpose and disbanded after in order to give us all room to make some FA moves.

If you can find one of those fancy feather pens, just show me the dotted line. I always fancied the idea of being a vassal state.I offer a solution: The Cadogan Confederacy--you'll still have cultural autonomy but militarily and diplomatically I'll be in command. All treaties will be to me personally. I tell you, can't lose with this proposition.
-
Pretty accurate assessment. I can only hope people will follow suit to help clean up the clusterfuck that is the treaty web. I'm also hopelessly optimistic. And it wasn't because of Grudge or Dave--it's the web. Y'all saw the web and went "good lord" and now everything's goin' to hell.

And yet you still seem all too bitter. You know, when I heard of this I was dying to come in here and say something really snarky. But I suppose there wasn't really a point.
When running RoK's FA in a post-SF time, I made it my primary goal to diplomatically isolate the SuperFriends, and to reduce them to a political irrelevance. While I'm not going to take credit for that occurring (MJ was simply a cog in the greater political maneuverings, and its not as if MJ could have achieved anything that it did without it fitting into the larger desires of the power players), I'd like to think that I helped hammer in a nail of this proverbial coffin, and that is something that makes me happy.
I'd say that being a high government member of SF was a positive experience, but it really wasn't- I came into the fold in RoK during a time of pretty high animosity between the alliance and their SF blocmates, and the relationship was extremely negative all around. It's a shame that the old RoK forums are gone, because some of the posting matches there were pretty damn intense.
I will say this, though- working with MJ against SF was one of me favourite times in leadership on this planet. We had a very specific, very isolated goal, and any steps taken were for the achievement of said goal. The OWF sparring matches were fantastic and I haven't seen many on the same scale since.
So, I'll have a drink for SF tonight. It brings me sheer joy to know that we defeated you, and that said defeat was the death blow that has led you limping to this moment. But this planet is not entertaining without enemies, and SF filled that place (for a time) with passion and vigor. My time on this world would not have been as entertaining had adversaries like the SuperFriends not existed.
So, for the last time, fuck SF, and fuck Xiph. Winter is coming, cheers. -
Good night, sweet prince.

Good luck to the rest of XX. And best of luck to RnR. <3

That's sexy.BUT ENOUGH TRASHTALK
Swapped TORN and ML's places to make TORN's north/south treaties easier to put in. Also swapped Echelon and DB4D, adding DB4D's treaty with TORN and Echelon's treaty with R&R. R&R's treaty with NATO added.
