I own Schleswig-Holstein and Denmark, which has been marked on that map as claims by Mergerberger.

The part of this map that is in Germany is to be transferred to the Netherlands:

Just to pre-empt any mis-conceptions, are you referring to the land in Germany held by KaiserMartens, as I know for a fact I'm not handing over any of the land in that claim held by me.

Klosterneuburg Accords
Preamble:
We, the signatories of Lübeck and Austria, desiring to contribute to the overall stability of our subsequent homelands, while at the same time, living in peace and harmony, have agreed on the following articles
Article I:
Lübeck and Austria hereby decree that they agree to sign this treaty to promote closer ties of friendship, and to offer their resources to the other in the name of defence of their opposite brethren.
Article II:
If any information or intelligence is obtained which might be of importance to either party, it must be shared to better protect the ability of either party.
Article III:
Resources can flow freely through both parties, through the art-form of import/export. Borders shall also be permanently open between both nations, unless an event of severe political note occurs, which requires dealings from nobody outside of said nation.
Article IV:
If either nation is attacked by another party, then the other nation not being attacked must come to the defence of the nation being assaulted by the belligerent.
Article V:
If either nation wishes to disengage from this treaty, then a 72 hour notification period must be served.

Once Vega was sitting, Franz sat down as well.
"Now, what exactly would you like to propose, and why?"
"I propose that as our two nations are close in regards to idealisms, while at the same time, due to the current... situation in Europe, I believe it would be beneficial for both of us to sign a Mutual Defence Pact, to help safeguard the other. I'm concerned with the actions of Deutschland, and what they are potentially planning. Admittedly, I still haven't forgiven them for what they did to my predecessor, however, it is a reasonable skepticalism towards them. I do believe that they might be planning to rebuild their 'reich', and after seeing what their previous steps were in annexing land, and invading, chances are, that both of us are high on their list of targets. Mostly as both of us hold land key to them, with your ownership to Bavaria and your homeland region of Austria, while our ownership of pretty much all of our land, apart from potentially Gotland. Therefore, I wish to make sure that both of us survive for a long time, and to put down any potential plans that Deutschland will potentially put forward."

Very well, we'll be blunt too. It is ridiculous and stupid to not recognize a nation simply because it pursues diplomatic relations with anyone willing to listen to them.
"So is it right for them to try and follow means of espionage to try and discover the secrets and technological advances of the nation of Lübeck?"

We must ask the question, what caused the Lübeckians to un-recognize Kitex?

We would like to prevent violence as well, however we are set firm in our beliefs to ensure there is a bastion of freedom for the people to celebrate their culture from colonizing empires. If bloodshed can be prevented, we would gladly just secure Pico Island. However, I can assure you our minds and hearts are one on this issue.

Technically, part of my lands which are located within that claim are in Germany. What Mergerberger should have said is that the lands controlled by Deutschland/Kaiser Martens as shown on the map were to be transferred to him. By saying the part of the map which is Germany, well, as I pointed out earlier, Schleswig-Holstein is technically within real-life Germany, and therefore it could be conceived that he was claiming that as well. I believe what we should do is allow Mergerberger to clear this up.
