The Treaty of Marseille

Preamble

The Caliphate of Lybia and the Nation of France,

Desiring to contribute to the stability of the region,

Reaffirming their desire to live in peace with all peoples,

Have agreed as follows:

Article I

The Parties will consult with each other whenever they are of the opinion that the territorial integrity, political independence or security of either of the Parties is threatened.

Article II

Each Party will consider armed attacks upon the other party to be a threat to the peace and security of the region, and of grave concern to the national interests of both, and reserve the option to respond with any means at their disposal, including but not limited to military actions.

Article III

Where the conditions in Article I or II are met, a Party may call upon the other to render economic or military assistance, and the other Party may respond with such assistance as they deem necessary for the situation.

Article IV

Both Parties will undertake to avoid to conclude any alliance or to partake in any coalition against the other.

Article V

Cancellation of this treaty requires 72 hours of notice, during which time a state of non-aggression exists between the Parties.
