What will raiding this guy get them except a depleted warchest, plenty of lost infra & tech and a pile of casualties? (Not to mention criticism for using sanctions during a raid) If I was a raider, he would not be my choice of target since attacking him would be more trouble than it is worth.

I was pretty embarrassed when our Senate bought the "nuke rogue" shpiel and voted to sanction, but I'm glad somebody else got to it first.

I have no issues with raiding, but don't come crying to other alliances with what is at worst a lie and at best disingenuity just because your raid went south.

I am glad that it was at least discussed on your end, but I'm not sure I can say that it's better than what happened with Senators who just took the request at face value.

Me and Oinkoink12 have more than 20 million casualties combined. Thats more than the entire cult of justitia. You only have 400.000 casualties. Have you ever been in a nuclear war? Have you fought this war at all? It seems your alliance has already surrendered, almost all of COJ is in peacemode. Some people actually have the guts to raid nations who are bigger then themselves. All you do is hide in peacemode and comment on people who actually have the balls to fight.

He changed his mind after he saw his nation was getting wrecked and asked us to consider peace again.

When I was asked for the sanction, I noticed that there were only defensive wars at that time. So I contacted the person that asked for the sanction and was told that those wars were in response to the "rogues" attacks that happened earlier.

Unfortunately, I no longer have the PM's and don't remember who specifically requested the sanction. But I noticed that the guy was sanctioned on other Teams and the request came from a respectable AA so I took his word for it.

I always weigh all requests and do as much research as is possible. I have rejected requests in the past and when in doubt, I request further information from the requestor.

In hindsight, I now see that the request was flawed. And as a result, my sanction was too.

I can assure you that politics NEVER enter my mind when I make my decisions.

I try to look at the situation at hand, do the research that is available at the moment and make a decision.

I am sure that hindsight will always be better than foresight.

And Biff, I am glad I found your Blog. Maybe you can lend your blogging experience to help push me to blogging as you have often suggested.
