The Green Old Party's soft-line neutrality also dictates that if a neutral alliance is hit because someone thinks they're a juicy, easy target, we reserve the right to combat that attack on neutrality. Not in defense of the GPA, per say, but in defense of neutrality's right to exist.

Yes, someone will decide to hit GPA. Don't hold your breath. If someone comes out as the clear winner of this one and is able to consolidate power, that's when. Not right away either - when GPA either gives such group an excuse (because it's better to have one than out and out say "we're hitting a neutral just because") or when GPA is in the "way" as far as the rankings go.

It requires an alliance (or bloc/series of alliances) which are strong enough/well connected enough to a) take a negative public relations hit and b) discourage (by might makes right) other alliances/blocs from getting involved on a military level.

An attack on the GPA would not provide any gain (nukes = no profit) and it would inevitably be another boring curbstomp (whoever attacks will prepare the terrain so that the GPA will be alone - it just requires patience and it isn't really "difficult").

The only tangible effect would be that a lot of players (> 100) would again leave the game.

It's sad, after five years of the purest neutrality some people still need to learn that they have to get their drama somewhere else.

The GPA isn't even really playing the same game, get it into your skulls for Admin's sake!

Neither Doomhouse nor anyone else is going to attack GPA and I personally would not join in any such attack against GPA, I'd be more apt to voluntarily fight on GPA's side.

Comparing GPA and NPO is completely and utterly ridiculous.
