CN tech deals

At first tech deals allowed me to build a few things, now it has plateaued. There's no way to keep a decent level of tech and build infrastructure at the same time.  If your tech levels drop, so does your economy.

So what's the advantage? if by the end one can't buy schools etc, or really do much, at certain point, other than pay off the deal. It's like getting a bank loan.

I'd wager that your tech deals are not paying off because your buying up large amounts(like the 300 your currently holding) instead buy 100 and send it out, and then repeat every time. You can improve your economy by fixing your trades, replacing your barracks and gc with banks and changing some of your government positions. You can find some very helpful info here: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?/topic/843-nation-building-guide/

The guide is somewhat outdated however, your alliance probably has one more current.

A decent alliance should be able to help with these things, I would check with yours and see if they can provide some growth mentorship.  If not, look elsewhere.  Fast.

Looking at your current set up, you are destined to fail and appear to have no idea what you are doing:

-- Defcom 4

-- 3 trades only

-- Improvements of Barracks: 1, Clinics: 1, Guerrilla Camps: 1, Harbors: 1, Schools: 3, Universities: 2

Growth is pretty formulaic, and a little guidance would enable you to be growing briskly instead of floundering.

It is not the tech deals that are the issue, it is everything else.

Echoing this. You have a lot of basic inefficiencies, that don't seem basic to those who haven't been around long, but with proper education and guidance, will start to seem easily manageable to you, and your profit and growth will soar.

Just to emphasize, low tech is not as big a drawback to you economy as lacking the correct improvements and trades. A full trade set will beat the ever living heck out of a few happiness points from overbuying tech.

Also, if you want to save a little money when buying up to 100 tech, use this pattern. It takes advantage of the tech cost jumps. Buy in the following increments(from zero or at least below .5):

4.5
10
10
5
10
10
10
10
5
10
10
5.5

200 of that tech isn't actually mine, it's on loan.

Don't buy all that tech at once, because the price of tech increases the more you have.

Instead of wasting your money on buying expensive tech, keep the cash that is "on loan," as you phrase it, and intended for the tech in cash form, until you've already sent one batch of 100 tech, at which time, you'll be able to rebuy that 100 tech at the optimal price.

You can buy 100 tech and send out multiple offers for that 100 tech.  Once somebody accepts the 100 tech, the others will have to wait until you rebuy 100 before they can accept, but you have 10 days to complete the transaction before the slot expires and this keeps those aid slots moving profitably.

What do you mean by on loan? Are you doing some sort of tech holding deal?
If so, I would suggest doing no more of those deals; far better just to sell technology.

Anyway, just to echo what everyone else has said: Never have more than 100 tech on hand at a time, switch your non-economic improvements for economic improvements and, when you get the chance, make an infra jump coinciding with a back collect.

Your alliance's guides should have all of that; I would suggest going to read them (and if they don't have all that, go join another alliance :P)
