In a snap drill the entire British Grand Fleet has been put to sea to conduct live fire exercises in the North Atlantic in the Irish Sea and North Sea, while the British Expeditionary Fleet has been dispatched to the channel to work with the Royal Air Force on conducting amphibious warfare exercises in a full spectrum contested environment.  Emphasis is being placed on drilling to destroy forces within a advanced IADs area and seize the initiative by preemptively striking leadership and command and control targets deep in an adversaries hostile territory with the intent of performing decapitation followed on by seizing a large area with sudden application of amphibious based ground forces with little or no notice.  The plan represents the British Resolve to respond to a threat by a potential adversary by overwhelming and disproportionate force.

In other news the Navy has deployed its P-8s to monitor the Icelandic Blockade of Scandinavia and Global Hawks flying at 12.1 nautical miles with maximum altitude along the Coasts of its adjacent sea and Norway to monitor the situation.

With continued mounting tensions, the British Fleet was deployed to the North Atlantic on maximum alert, especially for EM emissions, as the entirety of the British Nation was mobilized for the increasingly deteroriating situation.  Classified messages were sent to the British allies in Persia, Romania, and Carthage requesting formal intelligence sharing and ministerial level consultatins as well as mobilization and the deployment of forces to defend the British Isles.  Combat air patrols and anti-submarine and missile defense patrols to prevent and destroy preemptive attacks on the British Isles.  British space command and GCHQ were put on alert to collect all manners of intelligence as the nation pushed forward into darker days ahead.

Moments after the request came in Imperial Intelligence received orders to open up all its systems to its British counterparts, the Carthaginian Navy deployed to the Atlantic would be ordered to remain in the Central Atlantic to force any hostile move against the Isles to be split in two or risk being attacked in its flank. Meanwhile the General Staff made preparations for Operation Blockade. On both sides of the Strait of Gibraltar mine-laying vessels and units would be placed to be able to swiftly mine these Straits in case of the unthinkable where the defensive lines were breached. The Northlands and other allied Mediterranean powers would be notified of these measures and recommended to evacuate ships it wanted back in their homeland for when the order was issued. Additional ground and air forces would be retasked to European territories and protectorates leaving those forces behind needed to defend the African parts of the Empire should anyone attempt a landing.

Once the request was received, Romanian intelligence services would start cooperating in full with the British. In regards to the fleet, Romania would mobilise its four carriers, four battleships, four destroyers and twelve frigates, to be deployed to the Western Mediterranean, as soon as circumstances allowed it. Inquiries would be made with Carthage, on possible basing in North Africa, as well as on the safety of the route from Constantinopol to the Western Med.

Guarantees would be made that Romanian vessels and other military assets were cleared to enter Carthaginian bases and ports. Additionally as far as Carthage could go it would guarantee the security of any allied vessel in the Mediterranean via its extensive anti-ship network along its coasts.

The Romanian Grand Fleet would travel from Constantinopol, through the Aegean Sea, South of the Ionian sea and Sicily, along the Tunisian and Algerian Coast through the Straits of Gibraltar, to be based in Iberia. During transit, the fleet would be on guard against any and all possible threats, though it was expected that not a great load could be expected. Carthage would be informed of the route, so as to prevent any issues. The Romanian Navy also forwarded a request for Carthage to take over the grand coordination also of Romanian forces, given Romania's naval forces, while not incompetent, weren't those of a great naval power and were better in a supporting role, rather than operating on their own.

Sat Intel and the Global Intelligence Gathering unit would begin keeping tabs on all the fleet movements so as to keep up to date on the global tensions. The information would be updated as it came in within the heart of the Druk Yul Strategic Command bunker.

Optional Recognition:

In Henry's throne room or office.. for the Dreamer knew not the luxuries he kept, a voice from the darkness would whisper, "You should surrender. It is the pride of your crown they are after. The land they do not care for. Your scheming is undone. You are vastly outnumbered. This world isn't so easily broken as the last and you terribly underestimated them." The last part probably would confuse him. "Tell them that you surrender unconditionally to the night. It may not make sense to you, but they will understand." Was it a delusion of a lack of rest? Had someone slipped him something? The voice was gone as soon as it came and searching around the room would find only shadows.

Britain formally announces its claims to protectorate of Bermuda and the Falkland Islands, as well as guarantees it will not assert claims within the Americas or the Western Atlantic beyond this from the collapse of Tikal, citing their time almost entirely as a British Settlement and sharing the same culture as the rest of Britain.

The British People will be happy to meet with the NWO so long as it enforces its own charter protocols immediately on the Plain's Federation and the former areas of Tikal.

2. The NWO shall not launch invasions of foreign lands or act offensively.

7. The NWO shall not tolerate an American nation offering foreign nations military facilities in the Americas.

Whereas the Plains Federation has joined in launching a totally illegal and unprovoked invasion of the United Kingdom and both the Plains Federation and Tikal are allowing the use of the Americas as a rear area logistical base for Japan's illegal war on he United Kingdom which has thus far targeted almost exclusively civilians and not military targets.

We would also remind the NWO, that Tikal declared war on Britain and allowed its lands to be the primary logistical staging grounds for an illegal war.

5. The NWO is not obligated to defend an American nation if they start or are brought into a war.

Your own actions, coupled with those of our former ally, constituted a real and immediate threat to the lives of the personnel serving aboard our fleet, which was conducting international exercises in French waters. As such, our forces are duly authorized to protect themselves by any means, up to and including the use of first strikes. Additionally, no Federal assets have been targeted at anything but your forces, and the same goes for Tikalian attacks prior to their government's collapse. The Federation no longer has any stake in this war."

Iceland + Jan Mayen

In Iceland the British Government began construction of several key port facilities for the stationing of royal navy and coast guard units.  New Radar Stations were built, and the SOSUS was brought back online for operational status.  Meetings were arranged with regional governments.

1/7

Low Countries

In the Low Countries the arrival of the British was taken with a grain of salt, though certainly better than the alternative.  The British Forces were quick to reinforce against the French Border, though cordial relations with the Germans did not necessitate the same.  Many of the British GIs were quick t enjoy the new breweries under their control as a good time was to be had!

2/7

Bermuda

The British Colonial Authority was a welcome return to tradition by many on the Island, which had kept its quaint imperial traditions even with the lss of the second Empire.  Now the British Government was readying to welcome it back int the fold.

2/7

Falkland Island

A British listening station had been constructed on the island.  Additionally a new air strip was being finalized for construction for hosting an RAF monitoring contingent.

2/7

St. Helena

Regaining St. Helena was quite a boon for the British.  A return to Jamestown was seen as a triumph of the British Spirit, as the small Royal Marine contingent was celebrated in the streets of an Island that had been British for all but a few decades in four centuries.

1/7

Malta

The storied return to Malta was another great triumph.  Cypriot and Britons alike marveled at the return to this stories Island.  A new nation was certainly being born.

1/7

Balaeric Islands

The British were quick to take position in Balaeric, inviting contingents from Carthage as well.  Heavy investments were placed in Radar systems and infastructure for the manuevering of missile forces while a decision was made to leave the island mostly autonomous to itself.

1/7

Azores + Madeira

British presence on these islands was also kept to a minimum, the idea was toyed around with creating a Hispanic Kingdom of all these maritime territories, but nothing had yet been decided.  Heavy investment in electronic surveillance and monitoring was made to these Islands as well as well as infrastructure to support Navy and A2AD missions.

1/7

Ascension

Ascension would be mostly looked after by the Royal Fisheries Bureau, while the Coast Guard and navy played some role.  A navy ship would come to construct a listening post on the Island.

1/7

Pacific Territories

In the Pacific, members of the British Ministry of Trade and Industry as well as Fisheries would come.  A large measure was to work with locals on mapping EEZs, establishing autonomous governing structures, and helping expand British trade in Pacific Fisheries.  Additionally listening posts would be constructed on the Islands, along with a SAT Track facility.

British Defense Review has retired the Harrier and F-23 force, replacing them with the B-52 and F-22 each respectively, featuring fully upgraded sensor and software packages.  Capabilities are estimated to improve raptor strike time on ground based targets, and give B-52s the ability to fully engage and destroy targets at sea and land from safe distances.

The British Parliament in an unprecedented move, has authorized defense spending to top 10% of GDP for the next fiscal year, nearly doubling its current levels.  The British Government has decided that the illiberal world in which we leave is simply to dangerous to not prepare.  Defense Minister Churchill said, “This time, they will not utter those damning words, ‘Too Late’ The British people are prepared to spend whatever it takes to defend the Empire and its friends from the threats which arise.  Further, we will defend our values.  This Government has noted with alarm, both on the Continent and the wider world a lack of respect for the sacredness of human life and human rights, and a fascination with arms.  Well, if there cannot be arms control, this Government will show these chaps what a arms build up looks like I guarantee you of that!”

BBC reports that the biggest change will be the creation of the Strategic Rocketry Forces, a whole new branch of the Royal Armed Forces, which will be arming with what are called anti-access area denial capabilities, space forces, theatre range strategic forces, global strategic forces, and forces necessary to achieve national missions through non-kinetic means.  The British Government is estimated to continue increasing the strategic rocketry forces along with the British Naval Irregular Littoral Operations Forces into perpetuity until agents of global instability agree to discuss arms control.

Iceland + Jan Mayen

Britain would move what was judged the mostly obsolete Northlands Navy to bases in Iceland where it would be decertified for combat, though kept in active status.  Instead the vessels there would have simulated armaments instead of live ones and would be used for drilling operations in young recruits from the navy the sole exception would be the assault ships and its escorts which would move to the Azores for island capture drilling.  Additionally many specialist officers were given options to transfer over to the Royal Navy once they completed their training time.

4/7

Low Countries

The British Air Special Warfare School would open a branch in the Netherlands repurposing much of the Northlands air force that wasn't kept in reserves for parts and quick replacement of units.  Three squadrons of simulated adversarial F-22s would be stood up for near constant drilling.  Pilot squadrons from Britain would take turns on rotational drilling, giving them twice the flight hours under hostile conditions of their peer adversaries while using economies of scale to drive down per hour costs.

6/7

Bermuda

Meanwhile the old Northlands B-1 forces would be moved over to Bermuda where they were to drill between there and the azore anti-maritime operations and air space penetration.  The planes would act as live action test grounds for various pilot wings as they rotated through for live training including some live fire exercise simulating over the horizon attacks on a well defended air space.

6/7

Falkland Islands

With the rise of a state next door there was a mix of consternation and opportunity.  Many of the eyes in the Falklands fell on London, as plans were made hopefully to have a profitable trading relationship with the new argentine state.

4/7

St. Helena

St. Helena would have several missile defense batteries moved from the Northlands and British arsenals moved over quietly to a labratory setup there.  Comparing the code for commonalities inherent in the basic architecture, a highly classified program began.  At the center of it was zero day exploits all similar weapons would have.  The primary purpose of the program was of course to quietly patch the British systems.

4/7

Malta

The elections were coming up, the British Electoral Commission had set up a temporary commission to certify the fairness of the election.  So far polling had the Maltese Independence party favoring maximum devolution ahead by 40%, the Christian Democrats favoring a right leaning government with greater integration in exchange for greater money at 35%, and the Socialist Party favoring well they weren't quite sure at 25%.

4/7

Balaeric Islands

The Naval Irregular Forces would begin purchasing more land on the Islands, paying fishing villages an annual stipend.  In it they would build sophisticated sensor monitoring, while their fast boats would practice insertions into heavily contested hostile territory, and then rapid penetration in shore to destroy missile batteries, radars, and air bases early into a conflict.

4/7

Azores + Madeira

The arrival of the amphibious ship allowed the Royal Marines to open a full time maritime assault training operation, while not compromising the fleets ability to patrol.  Several advanced anti-ship and anti-air systems along with a contingent of strike fighters was committed to oppose landings, as the marine force simulated highly contested environment landings.  Rotating through ship based forces to give them real drilling conditions at a much higher rate than their potential adversaries.

4/7

Ascension

The San Antonio class ship had now become the temporary command center for a corps of engineers.  A barge would be moved in to build a naval station at Ascension, while orders were filled to place both defensive batteries for sea and air based threats onto the island.

4/7

Pacific Territories

Elections were pouring in as things were looking good for many of the traditional parties.  Of the main stream UK parties the one which did the best was labor.
