March 5, 2009 Ivan looked upon this world, felt himself compelled to once again face the establishment. From his efforts was born the New Sith Order, the third of his line. Seven years later his youngest stands tall beside the other Sons of Moldavi and the world in which he brought us. Seven years His Order has faced trial after trial, proving our mettle and growing stronger espousing new virtues and gaining new strength from each Emperor, and most assuredly each Acolyte, along the way. Seven years his third continues to raise the bar on persistence. As the revolutions of our world slowly wind down the New Sith Order remains steadfast and united. We stand proud of our accomplishments, sure of ourselves and appreciative of our friends. The Sith Order has extended our reach to realms beyond securing prosperity together and increasing our bonds as Brothers with each other. We would like to take this opportunity to recognize all members past and present (as many as our historians could read off the bathrooms walls of Moldavistadt - some fools may have scribbled themselves in twice under multiple monikers); to recognize the efforts and time everyone has put in to develop our home and our community into what it is today. Good afternoon. This weekend marked the ninth year since the founding of Schloss Eggenberg on Digiterra, the tiny Alpine domain which hides the Schattenmann, its enigmatic and long-lived protector, body-swapping observer of time. Over the past nine years, my star on Planet Bob has pulsated, burning high when passions rose, and dimming alternatively. Since 2013, I have receded from the public stage, so many of you will not know me, and it is not my intention to type out my history again. Below this post, I will quote myself from the past for those who are interested in history. Despite my increasing inactivity, I still receive many letters asking for advice or help. It pains me every time that I have little to say in the way of specifics, anymore. What I think about the state of things is that the solution to the atrophied nature of the political scene, the silence across IRC and this OWF, the solution to breaking this gridlock of apathy is to at last discover the nature of your alliances and follow your hearts. What we have is not peace or order, as some believe or claim, but walking death. An alliance is the sum of its constituent nations regardless of the political nature of its form, whether it takes the form of a democratic autocracy (as Pacifica and Polaris) or democracy, or whatever else, the entity is the nations acting in unison. You control your alliance by your association with it. You must examine your own values, and you must examine the values of your alliance. Every alliance exists for the same reason: mutual protection, mutual growth, but every alliance differs out from that. Find the alliance whose character aligns with your own, or work to build a consensus within your alliance around the character you want it to have. Is techraiding wrong or not? Are compulsory (M-level) treaties acceptable or not? How should team Senators be used? The answers to questions like these are the character of your alliance. Once an alliance understands its identity, it must understand that to sign military treaties with alliances whose character are opposed to its own ideals is to betray itself. Would you deny your values and embrace hypocrisy for, not peace, but false truce? War is not the inevitable result or even desired result of drawing a line between yourselves and those who do not share your values. This is not a call for chaos but for fidelity. And where conflict arises between alliances of differing values, are your ideals, your character, your values not worth war? Passion stirs activity. Alliances must work to create a global situation which draws their individual members into this world and enthralls their passions to better the alliance, to better their nations, to stand apart in the world and if necessary stand opposed to the world. This mewling stagnation born of political self-betrayal is the death of interest. This has been my message since Vox Populi overthrew the global order and showed that rulers do matter, that rulers of nations are the foundation of political play, and that when rulers associate and act based upon their shared values they are powerful. It is my message to you still on the event of my ninth anniversary. The idealist can only battle the world for so long. I am sorry that I have left you all. I regret that my growing disillusion across the years made me so acerbic as to be ineffectual in the twilight of my influential years. I am so glad that Van Hoo and Doitzel have returned lately, and I hope you will stick around, and make sparks. When no one else would touch me after Vox, Van Hoo put his fledgling alliance on the line, and invested in my ideas, and made Cult of Justitia and everything that flowed from it possible; anyone who insults him insults me. I miss my old friends, I was never good at keeping in touch from one alliance to the next. I am grateful to anyone who ever read my essays, tirades, and declarations and took some part of them to heart. Writing for all of you gave me joy, and I am glad that you were entertained or moved. I am proud of the things I accomplished, though so many were in the shadows, or seemed very small in the wider world—I always prided myself on making a big bang with a small charge. Yours, Schattenmann

Four years ago, today, a dream was born and Pax Corvus came into being. We had a dream - a place on the black team where we could grow in peace. And so a few weary refuges from Ubercon and TDO came together and founded an alliance based on Neutrality, Community, Equality and Integrity. One year ago today, the last remnants of Ubercon who had once been Amazon Nation and were then Apparatus joined us at Pax Corvus, bringing a little steampunk into our lives. This last year has been eventful. We have seen sanction and embraced it, holding it for many months until a kerfuffle with DBDC brought many of us to our first true conflict and brought our brothers and sisters once of Apparatus out of their caves. It made us stronger and more unified than we have ever been. Today we celebrate that we are four years old. We intend to be here four more and four more after that and four more after that …. until the world end. Come have coffee on us and celebrate the anniversary of our creation. A tósta, le ceithre bliana de ghrá na síochána agus caife. Sláinte agus Cheers! (A toast, to four years of a love of peace and coffee. Health and Cheers!) Happy Birthday Terran Empire!! It was a harsh year for us, but we made it through to another anniversary. So here's to everyone we have met along the way. Here's to the neutrals, to the raiders, to the shrooms, to the rogues, to the pirates, the ghosts, the jerks, the haters, and the traitors... Here's to everyone who acknowledged our existence by professing on these forums that we wouldn't make it. Well, we continue to exist, and we now celebrate 4 years of existence. And for that we must thank each and every one of you for making it possible. We'd like to thank every one of our allies, past, present, and future... you know who you are. So as we begin the journey toward our 5th anniversary, we look forward to countless more haters proving for us that we continue to be more than you ever thought possible. Glory to the Empire, Glory to us all!

Today we celebrate the fourth anniversary of the founding of Cult of Justitia. There is no need to recount our origins, history, and identity (I can hear you thinking: "Thank God!"). By now, you will know us as either: A) That enlightened and courageous band of saints, comprised of some of the best political thinkers from all corners of the Cyberverse, that sticks to its beliefs and brings much needed excitement into the world. or B) That annoying, pedantic, irrelevant micro that thinks it deserves some kind of attention beyond its size. Apparently there isn't much of an in-between. Perhaps we are some of both of those things, and that's okay. After four years, the best thing we can do to inform people's opinion of our cult is to continue to speak our minds, and then to ensure that our actions match our ideals as they always have. *** As has happened more than once, our anniversary, like our founding, coincides with the end of a major war and what can be the beginning of a new world dynamic. While we distance ourselves from web-centric politics, Justitia's Cult is interested and invested in the world that surrounds us. Our order's position with regard the rest of the world reminds me quite frequently of the boy who cries out that the emperor has no clothes on. See, I suspect that, if a person can strip away his personal investments and loyalties, there is nothing truly controversial or insightful about our take on the world. It's just that we are free where others do not believe themselves to be free to shatter the illusions that most rulers try to maintain. Our act of subversion is that of pointing out the painfully obvious. Because, as the emperor's new clothes demonstrate: the more obvious the farce, the more we try to convince ourselves that we must be missing something, and we'll make a fool of ourselves if we dare to point it out. (See also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asch_conformity_experiments) The truth is - and you know this already: our world is stagnant. The truth is - and you know this already: the treaty web is absurd and everyone hates it. The truth is - and you know this already: it is impossible to honor more than a few treaties at a time - particularly when they tie to opposite sides of the web. The truth is - and you know this already: most alliances have no goal, no values, no higher calling beyond waiting to get dragged into someone else's war. The truth is - and you know this already: most alliances talk the talk, while Cult of Justitia walks the walk. The truth is - and you know this already: we are immortal in this realm, and so it is doubly an act of cowardice not to take the risks we would like to take. The truth is - and you know this already: you have to be the change you wish to see. *** The problem is, no one likes to have their illusions shattered, and no one likes to hear "I told you so." And I'm pretty sure that the boy in the Emperor's New Clothes got beaten to death by the mob at the end. (I could be wrong on that last one but I doubt anyone was asking him to join their bloc.) So with that in mind, I won't ask for your appreciation, or your praise, or even your respect. When this cult was founded, it was an act of men with nothing to lose; rulers with total freedom. Our one wish on this birthday is that you consider these things with an open mind for even a moment, and ask yourself: "If I had nothing to lose, how would I do things differently around here?" And then remember that you have nothing to lose. Happy birthday, Cult of Justitia. Let strength be granted so the world might be mended So the world might be mended

Seven years ago today, a group of nations founded a fledgling alliance on the Green team, which they named the Green Protection Agency. It was the first Green alliance, and in May of that year was recognized as the official alliance of the sphere. The GPA's founding came soon after the first inter-alliance wars, the GATO-INC war (or First World War), and the First Polar War. When the first GPA members saw the devastating effects of these wars, they resolved to remove the GPA from the arena of alliance politics. Thus, the Charter of the Green Protection Agency was drafted with the famous Neutrality Clause, and to this day the GPA remains committed to maintaining its inter-alliance neutrality and achieving success through peaceful economic growth. Although many have tried to change this fact, we're still here, still as neutral as we can possible be, and will prosper onward to another year of awesomeness and neutrality! And now, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the GPA Hall of Fame Inductees for the year of 2013! probablamenteno - Definitely the most overdue inductee to our Hall of Fame, probablamenteno has managed to avoid being inducted into our Hall of Fame for the past two years by sneaking onto the Cabinet before the nominations begin. However, there is no method for him to dodge the honour this time around! probablamenteno, a member of the GPA since 2007, is the shining example of what every member of the GPA should aim to be. His immense knowledge of economics, skill as a statesman, relentless perseverance at recruiting, and general personality continues to truly be an inspiration to us all. jerdge - Possibly the most known GPAer around Planet Bob these days, jerdge's understanding and contributions to the fields of military organization and inter-alliance relations have revolutionized the departments of the MoD and MoFA. His rational yet friendly presence on the OWF has been and continues to be of great service to our public image. Although he has not been a member of the GPA for as long as most of the Hall of Fame inductees, jerdge has most definitely contributed more than enough to our alliance to deserve the honour. nik718 - The GPA has multiple times before been blessed with amazing economic minds, however there is no-one from the GPA who has contributed more to us in the field of economics than nik. His deep studies on the general principles underlying CN economics have shown all of us in the GPA that there is much more to this game than most of us would think and assisted our nations in attaining the peaks that they are at. AwesomeDog - Unlike the previous candidates, AwesomeDog was never an outspoken personality within the GPA. Nevertheless, AwesomeDog was one of those members who worked for the GPA regardless of any honors or fame. He did it out of genuine loyalty for the alliance and his alliance-mates. The first to volunteer against rogues and ghosts, the first to give aid, the first to give advice, AD put the GPA before his own needs. Serving as both the MoD and as VP, AD did not let power get to his head. He was the same ol' guy, helping the GPA whenever possible. Even though AD has since parted ways with the GPA, his impact, his loyalty, and his work is still felt among the entire alliance. Fodell - Fodell is another one of those guys that you just can't dislike. Fodell spent his career in CN in a varierty of positions, including MoMC, MoIA, Mentor, and War Handler. During the stressful times of the War on Peace, He was a War Handler, keeping order among the chaos. Fodell even went so far as to found a Tournament Edition alliance with the purpose of passsing on his military knowledge to members inexperienced in the field of war and coordination, and generally just to have a good time with one another. Helpma - Following the period known internally as the War on Peace, Helpma assumed the position of Minister of Economics, despite having never held an elected position previously, and guided the GPA through the reparations period, ensuring through his perseverance and dedication that the payments were completed on time, saving the GPA from further conflict. In addition to that, he has always been outspoken in his beliefs, contributing an important viewpoint to many discussions. As always, you're all encouraged and invited to come visit us in #GPA on Coldfront to celebrate another year of neutrality, GPAwesome style. :)
