And a good news have arrived, we have successfully developed the "Smart" and Fireworks AA missiles. They were demanding New England and Disparu to talk and speed up their military withdrawal from GLS, which was no longer needed since Great Lakes States had a fully functioning military. They were also demanding the government to pressure New England and Disparu to cough out their deadline of their military withdrawal. Many of the protesters were enraged by New England's puny progress in withdrawing their 100,000 soldiers out of GLS, so far, they have only withdrawn 10,000 soldiers in two months. One protester in a demonstration in front of the President House in New City shouted, "So what is the point of over a hundred thousand foreign soldiers being stationed in Great Lakes States, when we already have enough soldiers to defend ourselves and not a single report of instability for the past two to three months?" President Frank Swater had also demanded New England and Disparu to tell Great Lakes States' public about their military withdrawal deadline, he had placed the nation in DEFCON 3 from 5, and ordered another 10,000 soldiers along with various vehicles to be deployed in temporary bases that are located around all of New England's and Disparu's bases in Great Lakes States. ***OFFICIAL STATEMENT*** "Don't worry, most of the Disparuean troops in the GLS should be back in Disparu by now. Due to the paranoia caused by The United Organization, you and your government have seen both the Federation of Disparu and the Republic of New England as threats to the sovereignty of the GLS, and have demanded us to withdraw all of our forces out of the GLS. We can't really speak for our New Englander allies, so remember that the following statements may only apply to Disparu. First off, we would like to assure you that we do not plan on maintaining a continued presence in the Great Lakes States after the reconstruction efforts. We do not plan on annexing the Great Lakes States as a part of Disparu, considering that we already have enough problems within our own territory. We don't need more problems such as terrorist groups and an annoying and ungrateful public. You have asked us for an exact deadline for our military withdrawal. We promise you that all Disparuean troops will be out of the Great Lakes States by February 15, 2011. (OoC: two weeks from now, in RL) A large percentage of the troops have already withdrawn, and those that are still in the GLS will be asked to speed up with their withdrawal process. To conclude this, I would like to remind the government of the Great Lakes States that any unprovoked attack on Disparuean and New Englander troops will be considered as a declaration of war. Keep watch on New England's military bases, avoid opening a shot unless if fired upon. You need not place unnecessary and unneeded suspicion upon us and our ally for what a terrorist organization had done. We ARE withdrawing our troops as we speak. We has had some logisitic problems, and this has been mostly resolved. So, please, don't force us to accelerate our withdrawal any more than we already are. This would only create unnecessary problems that would further delay the withdrawal of our troops out of the country. As Disparu has stated, and we know they cannot speak for ourselves but here it is, New England has no plans to annex the Great Lakes States nor compromise its sovereignty, period. You have our words on that. The reason we intervened in the country in the first place was to eliminate the terrorist threat so close to our borders and to reestablish the legitimate GLS government in place, of which both we have succeeded in. Now, we are embarking in what could be the last leg of our mission, and that is withdrawing troops from the country. Remember, the withdrawal of ninety thousands soldiers from a country takes time, and you must be patient and wait it out. Our troops WILL leave the country, and as such, you need not worry about what is not going to happen. With that said, we estimate that our troops will be out of the GLS by March 15, 2020/March 15, 2011 (OOC: My time scale/Pikachurin's, whatever you prefer. ). As such, we will accelerate the withdrawal of our troops according to this. We conclude with a warning to the GLS Government that any unprovoked attack on our troops and Disparuean troops currently in the country during the withdrawal phase will be treated as a declaration of war against New England and Disparu, as per our Good Neighbor Treaty, and will be dealt accordingly. CLASSIFIED The Department of Defense duly issued orders to Army commanders and generals, through classified channels, to accelerate the withdrawal process whenever possible; 50,000 troops were to be withdrawn by the end of January 2020/2011, another 30,000 by the end of February 2020/2011. The remaining troops should be withdrawn prior to March 15, 2020/2011. However, one New Englander general was going to disobey the order, preferring to go ahead with his crazy plan... Two anti-aircraft and one anti-submarine Frigates and two standard Cruisers will be deployed. We have several ships still under construction. We should have another Cruiser and an supercarrier soon. We have also finished the development and begun the building of F-22 fighter, F-35A attack, F-35C attack, B-2 Spirit stealth bomber, KC-10 Extender aerial refueler, and A400M heavy military transport aircraft. Due to structural issues in the soon-to-be-built ships found, all building of ships have been delayed except for two battleships that should be ready within a few days. We had also decided to add a layer of carbon nanotubes with carbon fiber plastic reinforced mesh in it (to stiffen the carbon nanotubes) and bullet proof shock-absorbing gel over the original steel covering in all of our ships, under construction or had been deployed.
