Olreich
How is population count derived? (Formula would be my preferred answer type)
Scorp
7.5 x infrastructure x (1+improvement bonuses%) x (1+resources bonuses%) Edited November 8, 2007 by Scorp
thedestro
Besides improvements, resources also provide a huge population boost. Mainly Wheat & Fish.
Scorp
Yeah, I completely forgot about resources.
Olreich
It's not working out right. No matter how I calculate bonuses, I still am down roughly 400-800 citizens.
shopt
Environment has an effect, as does land. Where did you get that formula from scorp?
Azural
I thought admin said something like each point of infra gives you 7-11 citizens, chosen at random when you buy it.
geneclar
I thought admin said something like each point of infra gives you 7-11 citizens, chosen at random when you buy it. Odds are it's between 7.5 and 8, but yeah it's really random. Very frustrating for those of us trying to perform these calculations.
Olreich
I know it's not random, because I've gotten exactly 102 citizens for each packet of infrastructure I have boughten (packets of 10). But I'll check out land and environment having some possible effect. Edited November 9, 2007 by Olreich
Scorp
I was trying to get the formula from the top of my head and failed miserably. I remember seeing the 7.5 multiplier posted by a game admin; I'll see whether I can find it.
uaciaut
As far as i know 7.5 is the base citizen per infra number. To that you add the citizen increasing resources (wheat, fish, sugar, pigs, cattle) and clinics/hospital. Land also increases number of citizens (the more land you have, the more citizens you have too). Enviroment also slightly increases number of citizens. There is no exact way to calculate how the later 2 affect it though (none that i know of at least).
