Solidus117
Good Evening, I make this announcement, not as the leader of my state, but as a citizen of the world paying tribute to an individual who has touched the lives of so many. This individual has been many things to me: alliance-mate, ally, friend, confidant, advisor, court jester. But more than anything else, he's always been there for me - the good, the bad and the ugly. I speak of Matthew117, who in his two-and-a-half years on this planet has worn many hats. President of the Alliance of International Defense; Founder of IKEA; Prime Minister of Echelon. A man is not judged by his title, but the way he conducts himself in all matters. This man, this fellow -117, is the epitome of what a graceful Statesman is. Indeed, the truest attestation to his character has been sticking with Echelon post-war, doling-out blood money to the SuperFriends even though he had consigned himself to a final end. Alas, all things come to an end, and he has re-evaluated his future in this world. Though he leaves us, he leaves with his head held high and with the respect of many. I bid you the best Matthew, and through battle with your Nation, Militaria will always hold a little of Liechtenstein. - Solidus117 And death shall have no dominion. Dead men naked they shall be one With the man in the wind and the west moon; When their bones are picked clean and the clean bones gone, They shall have stars at elbow and foot; Though they go mad they shall be sane, Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again; Though lovers be lost love shall not; And death shall have no dominion. And death shall have no dominion. Under the windings of the sea They lying long shall not die windily; Twisting on racks when sinews give way, Strapped to a wheel, yet they shall not break; Faith in their hands shall snap in two, And the unicorn evils run them through; Split all ends up they shan't crack; And death shall have no dominion. And death shall have no dominion. No more may gulls cry at their ears Or waves break loud on the seashores; Where blew a flower may a flower no more Lift its head to the blows of the rain; Though they be mad and dead as nails, Heads of the characters hammer through daisies; Break in the sun till the sun breaks down, And death shall have no dominion. Chogsilanimous
Aye... Matt will be greatly missed by all in Echelon. He truly was the kind of member that any alliance would be have been proud of... and a gentleman to boot. And I'm sure anyone who's ever had any dealings with him will surely say the same. Matt, I wish you the best of luck in the future... as I'm sure everyone in Echelon does. o/ Matthew117 o/ Echelon Ps: Howdy Sol you dirty old dog!
