(Budapest, Greater Croatia)

Ever since the Nordland Revolution the streets of Budapest would get more crowded by the day, a city that was just an insiginificant one became one of the most important ones in the Empire, sure Vienna and Zagreb were still more visited with respectively 5 million and 7 million citizens but it was better than before. However not everyone was happy initially both Austria and Hungary were unhappy with the integration into Croatia after large funding in Vienna however Austria felt at home under their new motherland but a minority in Hungary still liked to see Nordland restored at least for their own Republic but perhaps it was possible to take more with them. On a dark day a group of 5 persons came together in a cheap motel so they could talk freely without fear from the UDBA which had their operatives everywhere. Should their plans be released they would probably be arrested and put for life in Labor Camp Alpha-2 the most feared one. However they were willing to take the risk. A man knocked 5 times on the door after which one of the others opened.

"Alexander it is good you could come, did nobody follow you?"he asked, however Alexander shaked his head showing they didn't, he wasn't a man of many words and prefered just to take action. Due to this he was the most important person within the group. Convincing Generals to join them, eliminating problems and eventually making sure the Empress would fall the latter preferrably with some force though. After they all sat and for the last time made sure no one listened Alexander began.

"We have Division Budapest, Belgrade and Sarajevo on our side, Zagreb, Podgorica, Skopje, Pristina, Vienna and Ljubljana being the biggest and most loyal to Peacecraft wont join us as we expected. However we do not have the time to wait for the smaller and reserve divisions my contacts within Justice have confirmed what we feared. While attempting to get as much time as possible Croatia will extradite eventually it is important we strike before the Emperor leaves the country. In addition there is a meeting planned in Vienna soon it is rumored the Empress and an Important Hanseatic Official will attend we have to strike there"he said with a cold voice.

"Are you crazy? Belvedere is a fortress there are thousands of Phoenix Guards there especially during a conference"the man who opened the door said.

"Trust me it will work, get your men ready I will make sure the Soldiers are too"

At the same time in the Imperial Palace in Zagreb Nadine was busy with the upcoming conference, normally she would let other Officials handle the preparations but with the person in question and the information she had received from her contacts she had to do it herself it was too important to let anything go wrong. Zagreb had become a new Center in Europe the construction of the new and state of the art center was truly a revolution in European architecture it had also become a city of contrasts the center where almost no sign of the ancient architecture could be found and also almost completely controlled by automated systems and then the outer edges of the city still filled with historical locations such as the palace which was build shortly after a revolution in 1787 indeed Zagreb was a very special city and one who would go there would always remember it. It was also there where one of the acts was planned that would enter the pages of the history book forever. As the Empress moved to the Imperial Palace for a meeting with Sarah Tintagyl a group of 4 remained standing before the entrance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs one of the suboffices in Vienna. They had secured Level 5 Access Cards from Imperial Command giving them almost complete access to the Ministry the only places in the Empire they could not enter with it were Zagreb Command Center and the several palaces but such an access would not be needed. They were all armed with weapons and each one or several parts of the bomb entering with one hour between each other it was 5 pm when all devices were ready aproximately half an hour after the Hanseatic plane landed. As the parts were put together and the timer activated they all left the bathroom and walked towards one of the Communication rooms close to the office of the Deputy Minister not long after an explosion rocked the city.

The local Phoenix Guard Office was filled with activity from news of the attacks came in the additional reports of scared citizens and fears for lynching parties had convinced the Head to send additional Guards to Vienna to ensure Imperial authority and protection of the Government however this would leave the Imperial Palace a lot less secure. However these fears would not be shown to the guests and the Empress to allow the move and preserve looks Guards from the outer wings of the Palace were moved to the center. Meanwhile the limousine with escort carried on it's path.

"It is good to see you again Sarah"Nadine said looking through the window.

It had been a few weeks since Sarah had stepped on to the European continent and as upset as she was that she hadn't lived up to her promise longer than she had hoped to, it wasn't right to refuse the request of her godchild to come and visit. In addition, Zagreb was strikingly beautiful. It was unfortunate she had never gotten the chance in years prior to visit the city, but it had changed hands so much in recent years, Nordland, the Serbians, the Germans, the Phoenicians, no one who Sarah found extremely pleasant, but now, she could definitely see the makings of the cultural mecca that Zagreb was.

Looking up through the tinted windows, Sarah smiled at Nadine glancing down at her. A guard came out and opened the door, as Sarah stepped out, smiling, she embraced the only person that she could almost call a daughter.

"Likewise Nadine, likewise. Its good to be here. How have things been since the ball?"

"Quite good as you notice we have been actively trying to remove all signs from Nordland for the first time in years there is a Catholic priest in the cathedral again"she said, as the 2 walked through the gates first they would see Phoenix Guards followed by Templar Guards in way more decorated uniforms. Every uniform features parts of gold the same counted for the sword they all carried containing multiple parts of real gold and jewels in addition to their state of the art handgun at their side which was of course normal. These guards would finish the last part of the escort and be the Security force they would see.

"You are one of the few to meet the Templar Guards, do not mind them while they might not look human regarding emotions they are the elite and will keep us safe"

After a walk of in total 10 minutes they entered the large Palace equal to the one in Versailles. The news had not arrived them yet but would soon as they entered the television in the reception was clear.

'Explosion in Vienna rocks Croatia, Phoenix Guards send' this left Nadine looking shocked which she quickly tried to hide.

(Belgrade)

The men came together one more time, over the weeks they had met several times but this would be the final time. All was in place, with the Palace no longer a fortress and it even having moved to the already less secure Imperial Palace they could quickly mobilize the armed men loyal to them. Mostly Hungarian and Serbian. Over time the Bosnian Generals had changed their mind but wouldn't betray them.

"We can no longer go back today it will happen, today we will restore Nordland"Alexander said after leaving the room on way to his transport to the Imperial Palace.

Sarah smiled and nodded at changes that Nadine described to her being down to Croatia. The rise of Catholicism again, the rise in an independent Croatian culture independent from the confines of Nordism, and the sheer beauty of everything around them. "Well I have a lot of hope for you in Croatia Nadine, as one of the three main European powers, I have the most hope that you realize what my dream is and was. To keep Europe diverse like it is right now and I hope it says like this for a long, long time."

As they walked into the palace itself, Sarah only smiled at the guards who gave such stern looks. Though, she was sure that even these hardened soldiers could be softened by a woman's touch, but she respected the amount of time that Nadine had put into training her guards and it seemed to her at least that they alone could keep at least Nadine extremely safe.

Then as they traveled deeper into the palace, chaos hit the entourage at the news that bombings had gone off in Vienna. Sarah turned to the Nadine and saw the look of worry cross her face. She took a deep breath and put a firm hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, we'll handle this together." Sarah turned to the Templar Guards. "Make sure the palace is secured and send out sentries into the city to make sure that if this happens in Zagreb that casualties are kept at a minimum." She turned back to Nadine. "Do you want me to go to Vienna?"

"The Palace already is secure, ma'am. As soon as we heard from the news the Phoenix Guard have proceeded to secure the most sensitive areas you both are safe"one of the female Guards and Personal Lieutenant of Nadine said. The shock with Nadine was huge and the guards noticed it but didn't know how to handle it as such they just did as normal meaning making sure they were doing their job.

"Vienna will be a chaos now"she said punching the table in front of them. "All those people. Why did they have to die Sarah?"she said reading the casualty count at the moment at 86 due to the crowded enviroment around the building.

---

With the chaos complete and guards rerouted the organization commenced the next phase pro Nordland forces were being armed if they weren't Soldiers already. In addition several Air Force Bases around Zagreb were sabotaged so Aerial Support would be unlikely the only thing they would need to fear would be the large amount of Anti-Air Systems ironically build by the same Government they wanted to put back in.

"Around 500 Phoenix Guards, sir so not too well trained. We should be able to take them out and 'convince' Peacecraft to surrender"

The streets of Zagreb would be covered in a civil unrest and local authorities smelled riots in the air however while alerted the Templar Guards would not take drastic measures yet. In contrary to the army who mobilized 1,000 men to march through the city if needed. By act of the Sabor special authorities were granted to the Police force to maintain order in the cities in essence meaning that police were authorized to enter homes without a warrant and check if people were carrying weapons without a reasonable possibility that would be true. Due to these measures everything went as planned for the small group who wanted to strike. 300 men entered the city and remained in hiding until the time was right to strike while another 10 men manned a post close to the prison where the 3 members up for extradition were held captive.

250 of the 300 slowly surrounded the Palace with the other 50 being the main plan who would strike once the Guards were busy with the others. Everything had to be accurately times for the plan to succeed one of the 2 teams arriving either too early or too late would destroy it all and result in a massacre, when timed right they would still eventually lose but have a hostage at that one who had the ability to disband the Sabor and even suspend elections. In essence the person needed to ensure a Nordlandic Dictatorship. However not all were so happy while loyal to their leaders they had grown fond of the Empress of the People and Protector of Slavic Europe all titles she didn't even had given to herself.

---

5 men a few streets away from the palace were looking around through the streets, most of them felt the same, but the one who walked at the end had most doubts in contrary to the rest he knew there weren't only normally trained Guards, his sister was one of the Templar Guards already trained well before Nordland but loyal to the Empress as her training commanded, remain loyal to the Head of State not the person on the chair. As such the whole Templar Guard had chosen to follow Nadine rather than her familymembers who did not desire a sudden withdrawal from Nordland. No this man knew what they were expecting and how he would have to fight his own blood. In his mind everything was unsure would he support his believes or own flesh and blood. Would he be willing to be responsible of hurting a child? Would he want to die for a cause that was pretty much doomed to fail if not by the Government foreign intervention would restore the Constitutional Monarchy that ruled the nation. He couldn't fool himself it was true, the Empire prospered not as quick as under the control of the Central Government with its extensive gold reserves but still life was good. He was a free man. However the second set of thoughts came in when he noticed the poster showing a Nordlandic Soldier being banished by an angel on it, the Croatian flag. This reminded him of how subjective it really was. Yes you were free to believe provided those believes weren't against the Revolution. If the nation was truly free wouldn't they accept the right for people to still support Nordland. No something had to change, he knew that, but with such a force. However before he could finish with making his final decision they had arrived at the street. As expected external security was next to none as such 250 men assembled, now the Guards noticed something was wrong and immediately proceeded to contact the Internal Guard. Within minutes 100 Armed men manned the guard posts more were coming. For now they would just look like demonstrators so blood shed could be avoided. However what the guards didn't realize each carried a hand grenade and handgun.

---

When the Templars were alerted they decided it was not yet time to go into hiding however they would alert the Empress and recommend her not to go outside. In a regular pace 2 arrived at the conference room where Nadine and Sarah were.

"Ma'am there are hundreds of men assembled at the gates, so far they seem to be peaceful protesters however we can not allow you to go outside"

"Sorry Sarah you got trapped into this if I had known this meeting would have been done another time"Nadine said while sighing.

Sarah nodded at the guards as they turned from the conference room, leaving Nadine and Sarah alone. She smiled back at her and looked back out the window towards the outskirts of the city below them. "Nadine, please, there is no problem whatsoever. I've been in much worse situations than this and I can assure you that. The meeting is perfect, the guards will handle everything." Sarah winked at her as she sat back down next to her godchild. "And just for a little more protection." She patted her side. "You can count on me that no harm will come to either one of us. These kinds of revolutions, they always pick the best time to rebel, but I promise you, we'll be okay."

Nadine nodded but was still worried everything had gone so fast; bombings in Vienna, Demonstrators at the gates, what more? Meanwhile the Templar Guards had taken position in other places of the Palace to prevent any unwanted visitors to use the normal paths. However what they didn't expect was the secret entrance leading directly to the office of Nadine behind the room where Sarah and Nadine were. In the room were only 10 guards left while they had the training to take on a small Army and still keep things in hand, however what they were facing weren't normal soldiers.

Using the secret entrance they entered the office looking around, it is quite plain with little to no change since their hero was seated there. The next part would be setting up a small base of operations where the room was perfect for as it had access to any and all Security systems. However they would not strike yet but it wouldn't take too long.

"How have you been doing actually Sarah? I vaguely heard about something happening in Brisbane"

---

With news of the disbandment of the Victory trials orders were being send out for the release of all 3 prisoners within 2 days however this was something the Rebels did not realize as such they proceeded with their plans. Slowly the 10 walked towards an entrance at the back of the Military Prison. Normally security was low and there were no signs these were suddenly reinforced. However looks would deceive, being part of the general measures the 50 Soldiers normally was increased to 200. Due to this the men would find themselves outnumbered 20 to 1 rather than 5 to 1. As the men proceeded wearing the Croatian uniform they took their rifles and walked towards the floor of the maximum security cells. Arriving there the surprise would follow expecting 10 men they suddenly faced over 50 not including the Civilian Officers, however their goal was clear they had to release them otherwise all would be lost taking arms they killed the first 2 and continued firing. By now all prison alerts had gone off and the security protocols were initiated, soon they would be facing the massive force. As expected the majority against them soon showed it's power within seconds the floor was filled with the blood of 2 rebels not much later all but one followed the last one making a desperate run towards the cells, after being shot in the back just before the door to the cell of Joseph he fell on the ground just managing to make one line.

"I have failed"

After listening to the conversation in the other room for a while using equipment while they were arming for the right moment. Using the Imperial Security Systems the whole level was locked out and at every door within it the security systems would lock out any way to get in giving them at least a few hours before the Guards would have fixed the systems. While they had quite some time they still had to act fast as none could be wasted. They were expecting 20 more guards on the level to come within 30 minutes and the others to come after 4 hours as such they rushed through the door and aimed their weapons at everyone inside most of them knew damned well they would die in the initial attack, they weren't facing idiots they were up against at least a dozen fully trained and armed men. However their cause motivated them to go on no matter the cause opening the door they rushed in and engaged an exchange of bullets with the guards, the superior training of the Templar Guards made them able to take on several at once. Should they get out of bullets they had swords left which they didn't fear to use. However after an exchange where Nadine got hit by a bullet originally aimed for a rebel of minutes the result was clear dead people in the room everywhere but they had won and taken out the Templar Guard due to the element of surprise. At a high cost of the 50 only 15 were left to go on with what they had planned. Those that remained seperated Nadine and Sarah keeping both under a close watch. Not caring about the health of Nadine they let the wound remain open and bleeding mostly to show they were serious.

"The Empress and Lady Protector together in one room, this will make it easy to take you both out at once, do not hope for back-up any time soon the room is isolated nice Security systems you have though"

---

Now was the moment to launch the public strike, the divisions loyal to the pro-Nordland movement had armed and secured bases by taking out the few of their loyal counterparts in active duty. At least that was in those provinces they had secured the bigger problem would be the capitals Zagreb and Vienna. Several Squadrons launched towards both cities with the goal to bomb the Government infrastructure there. Meanwhile the Soldiers they had secured moved towards the Imperial Centers of most notably Budapest, Sarajevo and Belgrade. Once they had a solid base they could effectively attack the other regions by land who would most likely be crippled by the sudden show of organized force against the Government.

Everything had happened so suddenly, one moment they had been safe in the conference room in the palace, monitoring the rebellion from behind closed doors, the next moment Sarah watched in horror as the rebels came in through the doors, guns blazing turning the entire room into a chaotic horror show. At the sound of the first bullets, she grabbed hold of Nadine and pushed her too the ground, but it had been too late. A bullet pierced her skin and the girl fell to the ground in tears. Sarah could only hold her tightly, telling her that it would all be okay and that the fighting would be over soon. Indeed it was as the rebels eradicated nearly everyone in the room before moving on to Nadine and Sarah themselves. Under the table, Sarah felt their hands reach for Nadine and forcefully pulled her from her grasp. The Lady Protector jumped from underneath the panel and tried to wrest control of the girl, but after a sharp hit to the back with the butt of a gun, that fight quickly ended.

Sarah awoke a few minutes later, the same room, but she was in the far corner surrounded by rebel guards, Nadine was in the same situation on the other side of the room. She looked up at the man leaning over her.

"The Empress and Lady Protector together in one room, this will make it easy to take you both out at once, do not hope for back-up any time soon the room is isolated nice Security systems you have though"

Sarah scowled at spat on one of the guard's boots. "You know I've heard that sentence before, many times, from people and leaders who always about to die. I would watch yourselves, you're following a dying ideology that for some reason someone is always around to crush."

Alexander didn't even show a small change in his face. "I feel sad for you Lady Tintagyl that you cant see the only true way is the Nordlandic one"

As he said that one of the rebels a technician said all was set up and so it was a camera and transmitter had been set up which using several of the Government systems to broadcast the message over the Emergency Channel which would replace any other one that might be active causing the whole nation to see it. Due to all being ready the systems were activated and the camera would start recording showing both the leader as the wounded Empress.

"People of Phoenicia,

I am Alexander Andros, months ago the criminal regime of Nadine Peacecraft and her fellow traitors have promised us improvement, liberty and equality. This promise has not come true as we speak all opinions different from the established ones are essentially outlawed. Nordic Socialism the blood of all Phoenicians has been even banned from participating in Democratic Elections. Therefore I call to you to resist against the tyrants and join us in our glorious revolution.

Regarding the government, as we speak we have your dear Empress Nadine Peacecraft and your beloved Lady Protector in addition to a sample from facility 75 if you do not cease all attempts to enter the floor and remove yourselves from Office within 12 hours we will kill your Empress, in 24 the Lady Protector and in 48 will release the sample somewhere in the nation. To prove we are serious look well"he said after which he shot Nadine again through the same arm however this time so it wouldn't cause too much damage and keep her alive long enough. After the shot the camera would stop recording and normal broadcasts would continue however it had worked panic was everywhere and the guards had stopped their attempts to retake the systems a their first priority was still the life of the Empress not the Empire. However an option would soon open up for those within after the firefight they had forgotten to disarm the dead guards who were still armed with their swords and some even a small sidearm.

Meanwhile Nadine tried to hide her feelings. "You know they will never comply the Consitution is threatened"she said.
