Uralica Posted March 12, 2009 Report Share Posted March 12, 2009 (edited) The streets of Ufa were abuzz with activity today as the ethnic Bashkirs and their Uralic and Russian friends were helping to clean up the mess left by the anarchy that land once known as Estovakia had descended into, while their Tribal Chief went to the nation of Slavorussia to declare its nation's statehood. Different people working together towards a common goal was a sight that, even a week prior, had been unheard of in the area. Estovakia had split into its former constituent states, with rule of the mob having overtaken them, until one man came to unite two of these states - the Oblast of Chelyabinsk and the Autonomous Republic of Bashkortostan - under one banner. Jarkko Salomäki. A Finn, and proud of his Uralic heritage, he brought with him Uralic peoples from Slavorussia - mainly Komi and Udmurt but also a number of Mari and Mordvins. At first the Bashkirs were sceptical about the newcomers, however the Uralic peoples were very open and friendly to their new neighbours and won them over very quickly. The quickness of the Uralic peoples to offer their assistance in rebuilding the destroyed cities of Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Sterlitamak, and Magnitogorsk quickly won the people over, and under Salomäki's efficient leadership, they became one nation. So therefore, those peoples, under the leadership of the same, came forward and declare their statehood as Uralic Bashkortostan. Christianity is the official religion however other religions are allowed as well. Militarily, Uralic Bashkortostan is non-aggressive and will only fight if their own land is attacked. OTHER FACTS: Capital: Ufa Official Languages: English, Finnish, Russian, Bashkir, Udmurt, Western Mari, Eastern Mari, Moksha, Erzya Government System: Neo-Tribal State (A chief (one elected for life) with an (up to) 300-member council). Religions: Predominantly Christian, with Jewish and Muslim minorities.
