Agostinho Neto
The first advance groups of Azerbaijani settlers to Fiji Islands arrived in Suva today, and were immediately transported to the site of what will one day be their new home. The settlers are the initial phase of a new program of building a new, democratic society in Fiji Islands. "We are here in this beautiful environment, to claim the land which the nature gave us as our birth right," settler leader Doctor Mohsun Milani told the Azerbaijani media via radio. "The nuclear war in Europe has put serious threat to our lifes and our children, we will not build any military base here, nor we will militarize the area with mines and off limits area. This is a free land, our people will be able to come here and relax, and breath some fresh air away from the wastelands and the violence sorrounding our motherland. Even though civilization is no longer here, we intend to rebuild it, along side our new society here in the Autonomous Republic of the Fiji Islands." The proposed settlement of Fiji Islands by the Azerbaijani Government has never been announced before. However, the swiftness in which settlers have actually arrived in what remains of Suva City suggests the plan has been developed over a longer period. Mohsun Milani outlined the plan today "Everyone is free to come here and stay as they wish, as long as they respect the law. We will build houses, water purifiers. No industries, no fossil fuels, just solar and eolic energy, and no radiations. We suggest people to consider long holydays to Fiji Islands where we shall build a new, clean and natural environment." Government officials claims that their switchboards were overwhelmed with people calling to express interest in the program. The natives on Kadavu, however, responded in outrage. "This is simply imperialism all over again with an Azerbaijani, nationalist colonialism spin,". "They appear to be attempting to subvert an indigenous nation and create another Autonomous Republic in its place. This is a new form of Imperialism." Settlers denied that they were imperialists. "We are just settlers, trying to escape from the horrors of war and the dangerous threat radiations put on our people, we will not interfere with natives in the area, nor deploy military personnel. We have our police force, but this is just a place to live in peace." a settler said. "I am no politician, though I may be mayor of the first settlement, but I do know that we are peaceful and we will not cause troubles." Milani added. President Ilham Aliyev will soon visit the Island. Chancellor Bismarck
OOC: Did you talk to whoever protected them if you could have them? Because I wanted those, but Sargun had said they were a protectorate, and that was just two days ago.

Ezequiel
OOC: It's not a protectorate, unless Triyun stated it privately with Sargun and he just didn't add it to the map. Either way, no one told us OOC or IC, atleast that I recall. IC: Taiwan is curious of its new neighbor and wishes them good luck. LeVentNoir
Aotearoa is exquisitely interested in why your nation seems to have the heinously incorrect belief that our Fiji Islands are open to foreign colonization. You shall remove all people, materials and other items you have brought with you and return to your own lands.

Chancellor Bismarck
OOC: Ask WHO if the map is not updated OOC: Sargun, of course. I've found that he is quite the expert on whether things are claimed or not.
