Sir Keshav IV
Earlier Today the Acting Chairwoman of the empire gave the go signal on another project to make the Dragon Empire one of the most Eco-Friendly nations in the world. This Project called- "Waste to Wealth" will be lessening the materials that are thrown out into the open. All wastes from the cities of the Empire shall be recycled and plastic wastes shall be separated and reused. The biomasses shall be sent to bio-gas plants where they will be turned into reusable fuel. The Dragon Empire has always strived to keep the world Eco-Friendly and these are few steps we have taken to do our little for the planet. Said Acting Chairwoman Megan Fox. The Project is supposed to be costing about 2 billion Talons say some sources in the ministry, but it has not been released yet. DNN Exclusive. Bacharth
OOC: I don't think I need to comment on the impossibility of this. OOC: How can't it? Food>Fertilizer, Plastics recycled, papers recycled, just about anything can be recycled. The only problem is nobody does it.

GTI hopes that its factories will remain unaffected, but will abide to local laws; due to this, we will not construct additional factories untill this "extreme" recycling project is either scrap'd, or a expetion to our factories is made. OOC: Only 2 billion??? For the sheer scale your talking about it would be trillions. Recycling isn't cheap. Sometimes it is, but the vast majority of the time it isn't. OOC: How can't it? Food>Fertilizer, Plastics recycled, papers recycled, just about anything can be recycled. The only problem is nobody does it. OOC: Money is one damn huge thing. Why spend 100*$X on recycled material A when you can spend $X on new material (and won't have any compounds that may of made it in accidentally). OOC: The reason why is the energy you put into it is less than you get out You need cheaper energy to make recycling everything feasible, or else you'll eventually go bankrupt. Maelstrom Vortex
OOC: I think people are misinterpreting the word waste as it is used here. If my understanding is correct, Keshav is redirecting sewage to collection, treatment, and gas extraction plants. If my assumption is correct, the infrastructure to do this would already exist and it's actually proven to be one of the more viable and cheaper bio-energy resources built atop existing sewage systems. As for recycling plastic, this is also already done on a mass scale. Just for the sake of argument, we'll throw 10 billion at it and say we are going to recycle what we can. IC: "GTI has not been given an exception, but they have been told to continue operations as normal as it is the Government's obligation, not theirs, to create the system by which they must comply. In other words, we're eating the bill.. not them." stated Tom Clark for the Department of the Chairman. Sumeragi
OOC: The word "all" was the point that I'm against. Japan/Korea are the furthest down in this particular sector, and still we can't recycle EVERYTHING.
