Blackwater:TE

[fun children's tale]

So we at Blackwater we're all sitting around drowning our wounds with copious amounts of hard liquor. BW and Fark had just got done punching each other in the face repeatedly for no real reason, and we needed to heal up. While it was a entertaining adventure it was time to move on, and the BW soldiers were indeed in need of some R&R.

Then all of a sudden...

We get a visitor.

So as is Blackwater's welcome policy , we can't just let a visitor stop by without staying awhile and getting to know his surroundings. So we sent him a couple tour guides. Well it turns out, he must have let his friends know what a really sweet place Blackwater has because.. more of them showed up to take a look around.

So we made up extra bunks for the guests and ...................

[/fun children's tale]

Or not.

MHA: Don't come take a dump on our front porch and expect us to grin and bear it. We really could care less about numbers, nukes, or the outcome. Bodies you wanted, bodies you shall have.

Yeah , as usual , Chuck Norris is to blame. :awesome:

I figured we'd go with the one that started the ball rolling.

I do make a good scapegoat... Chuck had attacked BW, simply a counter attack.

I'd say it all went down hill after your MoDF thought he could raid BW w/o repercussion. Seems he learned otherwise :nuke:

By special request, MHA phrase of the day is "We wont be &%$@ting on your doorstep again."

Thanks to the cooperation of Titanium (AKA Metal) and Blackwater as a whole, the whole "won't go away dispute/recreational war/misunderstanding" has been resolved with the Mostly Harmful Alliance. And all sides are glad of it!

There's a cautionary tale for all alliances about open ended "OK to attack" orders and not answering your opponent's PMs here.

BW got on MHA's black list due to it's support of M.Inc., so it was fair game. But since the war was really with Murder, Inc., the big peace notice said Murder Inc (and oh, by the way Blackwater too.)

Then it was officially off the black list, but some people didn't get the word, didn't like the word because they still had a score to settle, didn't know the Blackwater thing and the Murder, Inc. thing were related, were ghosting the alliance, yadda yadda. So there were incidents, then there were nations jumping in with "defend our own" justification and it snowballed. People thought it was "OK to attack," there was much ignoring of in-game PMs and "your two friends, call two friends." In no time it's a big ol' furball, which nobody ordered, but happened because of what the instructions were.

It was so obviously a tedious waste of everyone's time, something had to be done.

Being decent folk, before we got our gander up, whipped around, got - you know - organized and pounded all of Blackwater for being "nuisance raiders who won't peace out when they're beat" (ironically, what they think of us) it was thought to try diplomacy.

And here we are. So long as everyone gets the word, everyone feels like the word applies to them, and no one ghosting alliances confuses the issue we can all go home, separate and then have the juicy war of our choice with someone we really hate, for a really good reason, and hey, you can't take those nukes, those neato jet planes and all those willing subjects with you !!!

Thanks for playing! See ya next round!

Note to Mods: Round Two? The answer to "War's expire after X days," is 3 because, 7 is too freaking long in a 90 measly day game that's a constant crucible of vicious, needless warfare for entertainment purposes only.
