In a rare show of democracy, Director Wilding has ordered the Reichstag to vote on the issue of ultranationalist groups. The specific issue at hand for the consideration of the Alvonian MPs is whether the Wehrmacht, and by default the Alvonian state, should have the power and legal authority to intervene militarily in other states to destroy or otherwise remove ultranationalist states. Minister of the Interior Claudia Schröder stated in the opening arguments of the debate this morning that "Ultranationalists almost tore Alvonia apart, and nearly led to what could have been a highly destructive insurgency in our own nation. Thankfully, however, with the cooperation of the Wehrmacht's intelligence arm, the Alvonian Heer and Luftwaffe were able to destroy these ultranationalists before they could spread their sick ideas to other parts of the nation. What will they do to those weaker than us? Those that cannot defend themselves? It is our duty as a leader in this world to eliminate those that threaten civilized life, and these ultranationalists are the epitome of that threat." This statement was met with much applause from MPs hailing from the Polish and Czech regions of Alvonia.

Speaker of the Reichstag Adrian Meissner has a different outlook. "Alvonia should look to herself and herself only when it comes to the ultranationalists," he said. "It is not Alvonia's problem if other nations are incapable or unwilling to deal with the ultranationalists. If they come for us, seek to export their ideas to our lands, then yes, we will stop them. But only then! If they remain in Italy, or in the Ukraine, or in Hungary, or in France, then we do not need to invade another nation's sovereignty and annihilate another nation's citizens. Alvonia cannot sustain itself on constant warfare." This, therefore, has caused a rift in the Reichstag. Support the motion, deny it, or only apply it in certain circumstances? Or only apply it to Europe?

OOC: Consider all of this open for discussion, condemnation, approval, invasion causus beli, or ridicule. You may react as your nation's leader, statesperson, janitor or citizen, but cannot RP as an Alvonian citizen. You do not need a nation in CNRP2 to vote.

"The Ukraine does not recognize an imperialist invasion of Germany as allowing the control of Germany. Therefore we do not recognize Alvonia's claims or their use of the Reichstag. The imperial assaults by recent European Nations has lead to a massive bill to be proposed to The Ukraine Government to prevent any more invasions throughout Europe.

It is up to those regions to vote for themselves whether they wish to be a part of your nation or not. If people are willing to put their life on the lines to keep you from invading them, then the Ukraine will fully support these nationalists. You will not force a region to be under your control in Europe. That is up for them to decide. You are obviously not wanted there."

"Ukraine should note that this bill only applies to groups within organized, established states and nations and not to the lawless wastes. This bill is not intended to be a blank check to invade and annex areas that have not had the chance to organize themselves, but instead to prevent fractured areas, such as Poland, from forming radical nationalist groups that seek to, putting it bluntly, destroy anyone that opposes them from uniting their country. As was proven with the Deutsches Freiheitsbewegung, blind nationalism that threatens the armed forces of other countries in a 'get out or we will force you to go' ultimatum has no place in our world."

"Very well then, but The Ukraine would like to ask if they want to make their own nation so badly, why won't they be allowed to?"

"The issue is not that they wish to form their own nation. The issue is when they rise in an extreme form of nationalism that seeks to remove and eliminate anyone not of their culture from their lands is the problem. The ultranationalist's viewpoint is that if they are foreign, they should remove themselves from our lands or die. There is simply no room for negotiation in this ideology and that is where our issue rests. They must be eliminated before they can spread."
