Please report your status!" "Yeah, the meeting went bad lieutenant. I currently have what appears to be a Metal Gear prototype on my six" "No worries, Capn, our record indicate it can't be anything newer than 2001 tech. That means the suits weak point will be the joints." "Ok that's great, but I dont have any anti-armor weapons..." "Captain, small arms fire can disable the vehicle in the joints, if you can disable the vehicle and escape, we can extract you at the rendezvous!" Mission Parameters: Disable Pursuit vehicle and meet at rendevous point for SH-60 skyhook extraction. Captain Hawaii read his mission log on his satellite phone and veered his escape vehicle left as an enemy guard fired a bazooka ahead of him. Cars honked as the round exploded a few feet to his right, tipping his vehicle off the right wheels. Shifting his wheel further left, the vehicles center of gravity shifted back to normal as he narrowly missed an old lady on the sidewalk. "Sorry Aunty, escaping Imperalists!" Cutting back right, he crossed an intersection and entered a sidestreet, witnessing the pursuit vehicle flipping over civilian cars as it chased him. The pursuit vehicle unleashed a rocket propelled grenade which impacted the corner of the building to his left in the intersection. As he accelerated down the narrow side-street, he saw the pursuit vehicle smash through an 18-wheeler as it crossed the intersection. Captain Hawaii set the car on cruise control and climbed out of the window, using his feet to steer the vehicle. Raising his 9mm pistol, he exhaled, waited a second, and fired a series of 5 rounds at one of the pivots in the pursuit vehicle, approximately a hundred yards to his rear... Kevin Kingswell Posted May 26, 2014 Author Report Share Posted May 26, 2014 (edited) The incoming rounds smacked into the pivot that Captain Hawaii had been aiming at and a sudden and loud screeching noise was heard as the joint seized up and with an almost graceful manner the Panzerkampfwagen des ultimativen Bösen tipped forward and slammed face first into the road way. Landing in a sprawled heap Captain Hawaii would start to make some distance but likely in horror he would notice the machine rising back up onto its tread equipped legs. A shimmer would appear to flow over the pivot and if one could see under a micro scope they would see the shimmer was in fact a horde of nano machines that quickly set about repairing the damage inflicted. Now operational at full capacity again the Panzerkampfwagen des ultimativen Bösen set off after Captain Hawaii again. However, not all was lost for the the brave captain, up ahead he would see out of the corner of his eye a Philippine soldier leaning over a nearby building's balcony armed with a RPG. If Captain Hawaii timed his shots right he might be able to shoot the man, cause him to fall off the balcony and grab his RPG from the air as his vehicle sped by. "Negative Lieutenant, I'm going to need a bigger gun" Captain Hawaii jumped back into the vehicle and veered right around a police roadblock. With inches to spare, he cleared the narrow space between the police cruiser and wall; veering sharply to the left parallel to the police roadblock he ducked as the police officers shattered the windshield with their rounds. A split second later, he saw the pursuit mech smash through the roadblock, resulting in a series of explosions which sent the officers flying. Two hundred yards ahead, before the next intersection on a third story balcony, he saw a soldier armed with another RPG7 take aim at his vehicle. "You don't have alot of time Captain, the SH-60 is flying below radar but is bound to be detected" "No worries Lieutenant, I'll be there on time" Firing through the windshield with the remaining rounds in his M9, Captain Hawaii plugged the Soldier in the shoulder before the rocket could be fired. As the soldier fell screaming from the balcony, Captain Hawaii reached out and caught the RPG while avoiding oncoming traffic. Damn this shoulder! As he cut back right at the intersection, the pursuing mech vehicle unleashed a series of what appeared to be 50 caliber rounds, shredding his engine bloc. Captain Hawaii's vehicle lost control and he leaped out through the window as the vehicle smashed into a wall and exploded. Absorbing the impact with his right shoulder, Jonah pivoted on his feet just as the mech cleared the corner. He jumped to the left as an grenade from the pursuit vehicle impacted near where his feet were a second before. Captain Hawaii went airborne and while upside down brought his RPG to bear, firing the rocket at the mechanized pursuer... Kevin Kingswell Posted May 26, 2014 Author Report Share Posted May 26, 2014 The rocket from the launcher caught the mech right in the joint holding the body to the legs and sent the machine cart wheeling through the air with flame and smoke erupting from the point it had been struck. The Panzerkampfwagen des ultimativen Bösen slammed into the side of an apartment block crushing the wall and coming to a dead stop inside one of the apartment's kitchens. Water from a burst water line sprayed up into the air and down on to the crippled war machine, inside of which banging could be heard as the crew attempted to get the now jammed hatches open. With the pursuit machine disabled Captain Hawaii's transport helicopter would be able to fly in and pick him up and with Philippine air command still trying to react to the situation the Captain should be able to escape just as the sun set on the scene in a very movie cliche ending sequence. "No worries Captain, you always do have perfect timing" Mere feet above the buildings, the helicopter roared in just as Philippine Forces began surrounding Captain Hawaii. Jonah saw the skyhook cable dangling and quickly grasped it, hooking it to the harness that was concealed under his polo. The helicopters lurched forward, quickly dragging Captain Hawaii in the air as the police officers watched stunned from behind their cruisers. "You did a fine job out there Captain, because of your escape we positively identified our old enemy Vladimir along with that piece of technology you defeated." "Just another day at the job sir, permission to take a couple days off and visit my daughter?" "You're still Secretary of State, and we have an international anti-imperialist conference tonight, but I'm sure we can come up with an excuse for your absence." "Thank you sir, much appreciated!"
