Earlier today this press release reportedlly written by TMR III, was given to the government of The Dark Mark. It Read:

"To the citzens of the Dark Mark, this day will forever be remembered. not do to a major accomplishment or war victory but instead will live in infamy for our allies to mourn and our enemys to rejoice. Tom Marvolo Riddle the second, esteemed leader of the Dark Mark was killed in a bombing run by mistake. The attack was meant to target someone else but President Riddle was trapped near the target when the bombing run was called and as a result he and 2 others where killed in the attack. Their names are being kept private for the time being. I Tom Marvolo Riddle the Third and one pilot where the only friendly survivors. The target of the attack was wounded, but not fatally and is expected to make a full recovery. As we remain in Selencartos for questioning regaurding the attack, I have decided to appoint My Son, the Secretary of War in the Nation, Mr. Yesnef-Riddle to the position of President until I return to the Nation."

Selencartos has given no indication what the plan is. They have not said what Riddle's punishment will be for the attacks on Selencartos Soil.

It was also relayed to from the Selencartos Government that Major General Viktor Yesnef, father of Thomas Yesnef-Riddle, was killed in the attack when he was shot down by Selencartos Aircraft. One witness, his name is Richard Funyin, told TMRNews that he craft got shot down by "Fast Planes" which he says they do military drills there often but he had never see these aircraft nor had he seen a plane go that fast. He also said that a private jet was shot down right as he began to mow his lawn. "I saw it and it had a long trail of smoke behind it and then it crashed and then about 15 minutes later, i saw the 2 other planes, not the ones that attacked but the others.." The Private Jet was transport for TMR II, and his convoy. He did not trust the Selencartos transport. He felt that he may get killed.

The nation of the Dark mark is currently building up it's military due to the risk of a strike from both Tianxia and Selencartos. The Dark mark Government is in talks currently with the government of Tianxia but has yet to begin talks with Selencartos.

15,000 Soldiers have been placed around the border of the capital to patrol the grounds along with around 750 tanks. An invasion, according to the government, is imminent but the nations of Tianxia and Selencartos have not commented.

The government and citizens of the Dark mark Continue to worry about the situation of Tom Marvolo Riddle the third who is currently being imprisoned in a Selencartos Prison. Many are speculating that the heir to the title Dark Lord, was killed by Selencartos Militiamen but most belive that he is being tortured and forced to participate inn a concentration camp deep in the Selencartos Territory.

Ever since the ill-advised attack on Selenarctan soil perpetrated by the Dark Mark, Tom Marvolo Riddle the Third had been held in near-solitary confinement in the brig of the 16th Mechanized Division's primary base just outside the city limits of Manila. Though he was treated humanely, fed three meals per day and permitted a television in his cell (though it showed no news programs), communication was limited to an exchange of pleasantries with the rotation of guards stationed outside who frowned upon Riddle's pathetic attempts to bribe them.

There Tom stayed, with only the television and a single trip down the hallway to shower to mark the passage of days, early one morning when he awoke to a loud banging from his cell door. There stood a pair of Army Military Police officers in dress uniform, one rapping his baton on the door's bars.

"Rise and shine, Mr. Riddle," the MP with the baton spoke plain English spiced with a hint of irony, "Today's your lucky day. Someone important wants to speak to you in Manila and we have orders to bring you there."

Once Tom had woken up, the MPs led him down the hall to shower, dress and, for the first time since his incarceration, shave if he so desired. Afterwards, his hands cuffed together in front of him, the MPs lead Tom out of the brig and outside where a vehicle waited.

Riddle did as he was told. He did not know who he was going to meet with nor did he ask. He was hoping that it would be Thomas Yesnef-Riddle, the temporary President and also his son. He knew that that was unlikely but that was what he hoped.

His son was only 17. At that age most Dark mark Citizens aren't even out of school but he got out at age 14 after he passed all the state required exams. He then went to college, which he graduated from in 2 years, where he majored in Mathmatics and Civics. The following year, he was Appointed Secretary of War and Head of the Debt Commision. He was also named, at the time, third in line for throne. Now he was facing one of the toughest times of his life. His Grandfather died and his dad was being held captive.

Steaming from Pearl Harbor, the ships that stayed behind while the first chunk of ships sailed for Africa began on their own journey. This second flotilla included 7 cruisers, 6 frigates, 1 Bira-class destroyer, 1 submarine, 2 seaplane tenders, and 8 landing ships just in case. Holding just outside of Dark Mark waters near the capital city of the country, a message was transmitted at full power from every ship on all frequencies.

Yesnef-Riddle, at the young age of 17, knew that the dreams of both his father and grandfather where not to make a democracy for the people but a dictatorship for the Riddle Family. "Give me a couple minutes".

A few minutes later, he walked back in. "So?"

"If they can manage to get My father and my grandfather's out of Selencartos and bring it back to me, I will disband the government, remove me and my father from said government, but with the possibility that our family members can be elected in the future. If they can't do that, then we will go to war."

The message was relayed minutes later.

After a series of discussions back and forth between the fleet and command, another transmission was sent the way of the Dark Mark government.

He read it over, multiple times and responded. "Tell them that we will disband the Government, remove the title Dark Lord and remove the Riddle family from The Dark Mark and the public in exchange for......." Riddle appeared to go blank, a brilliant idea came to him. "I have an idea" Riddle walked out of the office, calling a emergency public speech which took place mere minutes after he got the second transmission. He walked to the podieom.

"Citizens of the Dark Mark, I am bringing to your attention a hostile government, the Manscurians. They have threatend us with a naval bombardment, they said that they will destroy each and every person who attempts to fight back. They also refused to set down with me and my men and actually talk this through. They have requested that all members of the RIddle Family leave the Dark Mark, end it government presence and above all else, give us nothing in return. The country would suffer through anarchy and an economic recession. Not only this but unfamiliar, oppressive, dictatorship of a democracy, one with rigged elections and a secret military police, have insulted us, the government and you the people. I have concluded that it would be in the best interest for all citizens of the Dark Mark, over the age of 11, to join the military immediatelly. Failure to comply will result in death at the hands of the enemy. I need everybody to work together, to build the world's strongest military. Once all of you who are required to join the military do so, we will have 5.5 million soldiers who will, under all circumstances, promote and protect the Dark Mark. Now thank you and all current soldiers are ordered to board the RSS Riddle and the RSS Yesnef in a attempt to disrupt in a attempt to disrupt and prevent a full scale military invasion."

"Your offer, to give us sanctuary and protection is accepted. We have twenty-four family members moving to Chile, not including My father, Tom Marvolo Riddle the Third. We will set up a fund, which will pay for all current military and domestic expenses for the Dark Mark. The approximate cost is 57 million dollars a day, which we currently collect 42 million a day, with also a 1 Billion Dollar rainy day fund, which will cover all expenses until a election is held. We will grant the nation we are currently at war with, will be allowed to cease fire permanently, at the discretion of the temporary government. I will manage all the flight plans, I am the owner of 12 Private Jets, which will each carry two of my relatives. We thank you for your hospitality."

Minutes after the letter was sent, it was announced to the public, and the jets and the relatives where gathered at the Thomas Yesnef-Riddle International Airport.

The new government, all members of the Opposition to TMR II, where appointed by the High Court of The Dark Mark. The new leader, Derrick Gregor, assumed the position of President. He then chose his close brother, Fredrick Gregor, for Vice President. In just three days the two would duke it out for the presidential nomination, with three other candidates.

The Riddle family would be met on arrival to Santiago and would be escorted to a military base for temporary housing and supervision until the investigation into the finances of the Dark Mark and the Riddle family is completed in detail.

There the MPs handed Riddle off to a pair of presidential security team soldiers who escorted him, still cuffed, through building security, up a flight of stairs and into the Chief of Staff's office.

"Well Mr. Riddle, we finally meet." Chief Raya rose to his feet behind his desk and gestured for Riddle to sit. "Circumstances have changed a little since your internment and I'll save the details for you to look up later, but the short of it is that your son surrendered to the Marscurians and gave up his position as leader. Your son has accepted the Chilean's most generous offer of sanctuary and suffice to say, you will be accepting as well if you want leave Selenarctos. Before that though, I have a little paperwork for you to fill out."

Raya pushed documents on the table as he spoke.

"First, you formally abdicate all leadership and all positions, appointed, elected, honorary and otherwise, within the Dark Mark.

"Second, you establish a fund for the families of the two soldiers you killed to the sum of fifty thousand NSC per year.

"Third, you formally transfer all territory, land, and real estate privately owned by you domestically to the new Dark Mark government, and any foreign investments, capital, and real state Selenarctos. Presumably you are your father's legal heir? You transfer all of his too.

"And finally in exchange, Selenarctos will reevaluate the Dark Mark and consider recognizing the country's new government."

Chief Raya handed Riddle a pen.

"That can be arranged," Chief Raya, gestured to the presidential security team soldiers who gripped Riddle firmly by each arm. "Sometimes I imagine how much easier life would be if the Dammi Island Prison Facility were operational. Alas, such is life." On that note, the soldiers hauled Riddle out of the Chief of Staff's office. A reporter from the Manila times waiting outside Raya's door snapped a picture as Riddle was escorted past, and out to security where they handed Riddle off to the MPs. The MPs, handling Riddle no less gently, hauled him back to the waiting Terrex.

"You've got some balls," an MP remarked as the Terrex pulled out of the Capital Building's garage. "But you're still stupid because the Chief of Staff doesn't mess around." The second drive was longer, and when the doors opened Riddle would find himself in an underground parking garage, smaller than but otherwise not unlike the one he just left. A short walk through a twisting maze of concrete hallways and metal grate stairs, still escorted by the MPs, brought them to a heavy steel door labeled Cell Block A. There Riddle was placed in a three by three meter cell, with two beds, a toilet and sink in one corner, and a small television behind a quarter inch of polycarbonate that played only one channel, and only in Tagalog.

The next day, the Manila Times published the picture of Riddle along with a story describing Riddle's rejection of the Manila government's terms for his release to Chile. Upon hearing the news regarding the Riddle being held in captivity, Presidente Juaguri began to massage his aching temples. Rather than scream, yell, smash things, and/or try to throw something out his window, he calmly took a deep breathe and wrote out a polite message to Selectnaros. To be fair to the Selectnaran government, he's very sympathetic to their position, and he doesn't blame them a bit for how they are handling the situation. Still, it never hurts to be sure everyone knows the full story, and the Presidente is somewhat worried that his actions could be construed as something other than trying to be helpful.

Please accept our deepest condolences for the loss of your two servicemen(ooc:I think this is common knowledge, not sure). Know that you have Chile's full support in finding justice in this matter. My Minister of Justice is available at all times with assisting your government with handling deportation manners in any crimes committed by the members of the Riddle family in this matter or other matters that may come to light. It was not our intention to dabble in matters related to a foreign power, but yet it might seem that way to some.

 

Chile has been working with a large number of Marscurian Siberian immigrants over certain business matters. It was my intention to assist the government of Marscuria Siberia in this matter by getting the Riddles to leave the Dark Mark to prevent a loss of life. Naval gunfire, no matter how precisely aimed it is, care nothing about who is killed. I merely wished to assist Marscuria Siberia in bringing the problem to a speedy end.

 

Please, feel free to call upon my office at anytime if you require assistance with this matter. While we will not deport the entire Riddle family over past crimes, as per our agreement, we have no problems deporting individuals for violating the laws of the Dark Mark and Selectnaros. Further, we have little issue with turning over specific individuals for a hearing with the necessary warrant for arrest and evidence of wrong doing is provided. Our two nations may not have a deportation treaty, but Chile honors all requests from foreign nations that have a stable and reasonable government in place.

Upon hearing the news of the re-instation of the office of Dark Mark and the plans on Chile, the 2nd Flotilla was ordered back into Dark Mark waters. In addition to this, the 1st flotilla was ordered from the Atlantic Ocean to Dark Mark waters. The 1st flotilla contains the aircraft carriers, battleships, and majority of submarines and destroyers in the Marscurian Siberian navy. On full broadcast, a message was sent back to the government of Dark Mark.
