King's Decree's #8, 9, 10, and 11.

8. All races and ethnicity are to be treated equally under the laws of Terre Regius, and all citizens shall be referred too as Terrans first.

9. All genders, sexes, and LGBT shall be treated equally under the laws of Terre Regius. All other sexual deviants, such as pedophiles, are to be publicly hung should their thoughts turn to action.

10. There shall be three tiers of state funded schooling. The first is the Commoner's School; where trades and basic literacy will be learned. Then there is the Officer's School; where the sons and daughters of military families will learn the art of leadership and combat. Finally, there is the King's School, where the royal bloodline and the sons and daughters of the nobles shall be taught to be Polymaths, men and women of reason and command. Privately funded tutoring is allowed, but all must attend a state funded school until the age of 21.

11. All male commoners are drafted for a period of 1 year at the age of 21. All males of noble blood must attend officer's basic training for a period of 1 year at the age of 21. Continuation of service via the signing of the Life Contract is allowed at any time.

King's Decree #12: Marking the official creation of the Legio Munitor; which shall be a state-run institution which shall operate industrial and construction needs of the nation which are a matter of national security.

King's Decree #13: Marking the official creation of the Legio Altrix; which shall be a state-run instiution which shall operate all medical and biological research facilities of the nation. All healthcare industries must report to and be regulated by the Legio Altrix. Healthcare is to be provided free of charge for all necessary treatments if it will allow the patient to continue working at near full capacity.

King's Decree #14: All men and women of the age of 21 must be employed at least part-time at a living wage. If a job cannot be found in the private industries, they are to be conscripted into the Legio Munitor or Legio Altrix respective to gender.

The Legio Munitor, construction and industrial arm of the Department of Urban Planning & Social Development, has begun to survey the beaches of Terre Regius and begin the planning stages of an anti-invasion defense system. To reduce costs, the amount of manned emplacements is to be limited, and focus is instead to be on simple concrete and metal structures that could delay enemy forces long enough for containment forces to arrive. Research is also being done on off-shore naval fortresses and SONAR nets.

The Legio Munitor has started long-term testing to ensure the fighting capabilities of the Legio Vigilum:
-Research into large rifle calibers and recoil reduction technology.

Bofors 40mm emplacements have also begun to be placed along positions atop the section walls in the capital, along with coastal radar stations. Research into Infantry-Portable Anti-Tank equipment has led to high interest in the High-Low System. A task group has been formed to research the possibility of an armored vehicle that favors firepower and speed over armor protection. Project names have been designated.

[b]Propositum Tigris[/b]: Development of a battle-rifle caliber infantry weapon that allows the use of automatic suppressive fire with recoil-reduction technology. It is believed that the combination of a long-stroke gas piston design combined with [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blowback_%28firearms%29#Advanced_Primer_Ignition_blowback"]API Blowback[/url] may accomplish this task.

[b]Propositum Tigris Rex[/b]: Development of a squad grenadier weapon using the high-low or recoiless rifle systems. Magazine fed, semi-automatic is a requirement.

Propositum Equus: Caliber has been lowered to 105mm, with the role being changed to an anti-fortification/infantry support weapon. Propositum Equus will be focused down to a heavy IFV role, instead of replacing the role of MBT. Treads have been decided upon. Engineers have been experimenting with a Blow-foward semi-automatic design for a 105mm 30 Caliber gun.

Propositum Testudo: Development of NERA and active defenses for armored vehicles.

[b] Al Huwariyah[/b]: Low-cost standard-template government housing, as well as state-owned factories being built, has started to attract workers to the city. R&D facilities are already testing the various military projects, and concrete and missile production industries have projected positive outlooks based on the government's want for naval forts and anti-ship missiles.

Implementation of passive naval defenses has begun. Concrete pillars, 1m apart each and tall enough to be 2m above the water, are to be placed along all beaches at such a distance that disembarkation of soldiers at that distance would cause drowning from equipment weight. These pillars are to be 3 layers thick and coated in an anti-erosion material. Propositum Equus: Vehicle requirements have been completed, and the pre-production model is now undergoing extensive testing. Production will be delayed until Propositum Testudo has reached the production stage.

Propositum Testudo: Experimentation of different rubber compounds has led to promising results. Non-rubber alternatives are to be abandoned. Overview of the Hour:
His mind always honed to the future of the nation, His Majesty has begun research into solar technology, to better utilize the deserts of Terre Regius for energy production. The majority of the power stations currently planned are to use Concentrated Solar Power, or as the Legio Munitor has put it "Solar power towers", aka a system of mirrors which focus sunlight to boiling liquids to power steam turbines. As this takes effect, the use of oil is to be switched from power plants to other uses, including plastics, automobile fuel, and export.

The Legio Vigilum has revealed it's newest weapon, the Telum B1 rifle. This rifle, we are told, is capable of firing the powerful .30-06 Springfield round fully automatic at around 500 rounds per minute with little or no recoil! With a built in scope, and a simple robust design, this rifle will surely serve our brave soldiers well, and make our foes think twice about showing their faces! The Legio Maritimus has launched it's first 2 Gabes-Class Patrol ships. They were launched without ceremony and are currently engaged in interception training.

Since the Blood and Land Reformation was declared, the honorable Promonarchia Secta has reported a capture of over 100 nobles and their families who were secretly plotting against the King's Office and the will of Terre Regius. Their assets have been seized and given to just and honorable nobles who have rallied in support of His Majesty. Across the nation, the new landed dukes have stepped up to the challenge of ensuring the nation remains prosperous, with many of their sons and daughters volunteering for the Legio Vigilum, Legio Munitor, and Legio Altrix in droves.

The Type A forts in the Gulf of Tunis have been completed. A combination active/passive sonar net has started construction, connected to these forts and the fortified islands of Zembra and Kuriat.

Large underground parking-garage bunkers have begun to be constructed along major coastal roads, designed to house modified [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_of_Medium_Tactical_Vehicles"]Prime Movers[/url]. These are modified to carry 4 Otomat anti-ship missiles and to be capable of setting up to fire within 5 minutes. These bunkers are to be spaced every 50 kilometers along the coast, each carrying 10 vehicles and a magazine in the lower levels of 40 missiles. Parking lots connected to these bunkers capable of holding all 10 vehicles at once are to be built under the guise of sightseeing and beach access use. The underground driveways are to be listed as maintenance sheds.

Naval radar is to be expanded to cover the entire coast, with a pre-plotted grid in place to ensure quick firing of the missiles.

The Legio Vigilum has unveiled the Equus Infantry Fighting Vehicle, with an initial force of 100 leading a military parade in the capital. His Majesty overlooked the parade and commented that this is simply another step towards the modernization of Terre Regius's forces.

Several were caught attempting to incite violence and rioting through subliminal messages, and having confessed to their crimes, they have been sentenced to 60 years of manual labor followed by deportation.

In other news, His Majesty has announced a contest, in which Duchies have been placed into categories of economic level. Whichever Duchy has the most growth in comparison to the rest of their category by the end of this year shall be given a year of funding of their policies from the Central Bank, as well as be invited to a meeting with the King to discuss the implementation of their policies across the Duchies.

Today a [b]Barbary thuja[/b] was planted in the Palace Gardens, to start a grand tradition of planting such a tree at the start of each monarch's reign. A parade we held in which the tree was transported down the streets of the capital to the gardens, escorted by the [i]1st Promonarchia Secta Volunteer Brigade[/i] and cheering crowds. The populace was allowed to tour the gardens for the day, though because of crowding the majority had to watch the planting on their televisions.
