Dagestani Government Announces Mining Program

Shariaat Jamaat, the Islamic military group which currently owns the country, made plans yesterday to employ thousands of desert herders in the mining business. As part of a larger plan to create a more urbanized country, dozens of villages across the nation will be evicted and their respective tenant. Abdul Madzhid, Dagestani Commander of Commerce, Trade and Transportation moved 400 troops into Southern Dagestan to fulfill this mission.

Notable members of Shariaat Jamaat, along with pro-Dagestan governments in the territories, will be given control of their respective land shortly, though Khalilov assures that the nation that the majority of power will be centralized.

Unrest In North Dagestan

Emir Al Bara Killed By Car Bomb!

A destroyed truck from Al Bara's convoy lays destroyed

Emir Al Bara, the Commander of North Dagestan and one of Khalilov's most trusted generals, was killed earlier today by a blast from an abandoned car. Survivors state that Al Bara's convoy was travelling through North Dagestan when a possibly remote controlled bomb was detonated from a vehicle on the side of the road. Fourteen soldiers and two of Al Bara's bodyguards were also destroyed in the blast.

Violence in the region was reported to be stopped from Al Bara mere days before, and this event has shown the true grim reality. Dagestan's lack of armed forces means their troops are spread wide and thin, creating gaps of protection. A federal police force is in the works, and Shariaat Jamaat is considering simply re-employing former Georgian police officers leaving in Dagestan, even with their pledge to Georgian allegiance.

Khalilov, the head of Shariaat Jamaat, stated that the bomb was "most definetly" set off by Georgian loyalists, and has since declared martial law in the region. A strict ban on firearms is also being proposed by several high ranking Jamaat officers.

"What proof do you have that it was a pro-Georgian terrorist group that conducted these attacks and killed Emir Al Bara? We have not seen proof, we have seen accusations. Accusations that are very serious and ones that we in Tbilisi do not take kindly. We will act to secure the rights of Georgians in Dagestan."

"If Dagestan and Georgia cannot control their actions due to this stream of terrorism plaguing innocents, the Empire will intervene, not to restrict sovereignty, but to see order restored and peace maintained on our frontier."

Public Message from Shariaat Jamaat

Dagestan will, of course, retain peace throughout our nation. While we cannot control the actions of an individual, with enough military manpower one can shut down an organization. Once a proper number of troops are in the region, we can assure that Dagestan will finally be in an era of peace. Any attempts by Tianxia to occupy Dagestani land without permission will be seen as an act of war. We do not wish to waste lives in a conflict neither side can truly win, so we hope you choose not to invade our land.

-Rappa Khalilov

Mining Program Takes Root in Dagestan

With the recent Urbanization project in full swing throughout the Mountain Republics, villages near centers of high valuable mineral concentration have sprung up . Oil wells are being constructed, and the project is thought to be employing tens of thousands of villagers who once lived in the past.

Shariaat Jamaat is lowering restrictions on the national market, turning the nation towards a capitalist future. Abdul Madzhid, Commander of Commerce, Trade and Transportation, announced that the Dagestani government hopes to attract corporations and small businesses to their country.
