The National Naval Expansion Program

In order to protect its trade and coastline, The Duchy announces the National Naval Expansion Program. The objective of the program is to establish a navy with sufficient strength to combat piracy and rogues even in the most remote corner of the oceans. The Duchy has decided that apart from some ships, that it will build themself, the greater part will have to be bought from the outside. Overall, we are looking for naval yards able and willing to construct the following types of vessels:

2 Battleships

5 Battlecruisers

6 Escort Carriers

5 Destroyers

A yet undisclosed number of attack submarines

A yet undiclosed number of Ballistic missile submarines
Offers will be received and evaluated for the next 2 weeks[sup]1[/sup] and if found to be acceptable, a deal will be made. Overall, the government thinks of a total expense of $100 billion as an upper maximum.

Monsieurs, Madames

We, the CCCV would like to make an order for a special typ of battleship for the Compagnie to sell to Croatia. As the Dalian, the most glorious ship of Vicidalia was seized by the Lunar Republic, the need has arisen for a new type of battleship to at least partially replace this loss. Whomever of you can build the ship will be awarded the contract, after a pricing was agreed upon. The plans for the ship are attached and we'd hope for adjustments by your naval architects, if necessary.

With regards,
Georgette Lemare
OOC: Plan was given. For now it is disclosed. Mainly because I don't want to open paint.

[sup]1[/sup] No real 2 weeks. One or two days, maybe. I'll close it when I think that nothing further will come in. So you do not need to hurry too much.

Subject: Submarine Procurement Contract

Salutations,

It has come to the attention of the Strategic Division of Sweden's CIAT that the Duchy of Croatia is beginning a naval procurement program to bolster its naval forces, currently, most of Sweden's shipyards are currently under the process of many contracts. However, Karlskrona AB's Home Division has an availability to produce submarine vessels, and would like to bid on the attack submarines category of this procurement project.

Karlskrona AB has produced, produces, or is in the process of producing two different types of attack submarines, which have proven their worth in the service of Sweden's National Navy. Our smallest submarine, the Torstenson-class diesel submarines is a diesel ultraquiet that can perform excellent in littoral operations, as well as blue water operations, without needing to surface for weeks, and has a deep diving rating. Our standard nuclear submarine, the Hengist-class submarines, has proven to be a heavy hitter in its category, with a large load of torpedoes, anti-ship missiles, and cruise missiles. The Hengist-class has also seen two of its number converted, given one-hundred foot extensions, to be able to undertake significant special operations missions.

If you would like to know more about these vessels, feel free to contact our office for more information. Karlskrona AB does allow for other designs to be built at its shipyards, but we felt we would provide information on domestic designs before suggesting foreign-designs, given the reduced cost they can be built at.

SUBJ: Battlecruisers

It has come to the attention of FND-Helsinki that Croatia is developing new naval equipment. Listed on here are battlecruisers, therefore we are offering the Kirov-class battlecruiser for your consideration. In use with the Finnish Red Navy, it has proved a capable ship.

The craft is nuclear-powered, has a displacement of 24,300 tons standard, 28,000 fully loaded with a top speed of 32 knots. he ship has two foremast navigation radars, a main mast 3D search radar and a foremast 3D search radar along with sonar capabilities. Information on armament can be given upon request.
Greetings,

Gladly would I order 8 of your Torstenson-class submarines for our navy. We would like the price and construction time though.

Also, is it possible to build a nuclear submarine using the design attached to this message? Altough we surely believe in the usefulness of the Hengist-class, we would like to have something more in common with our existing naval arsenal.

Port Moresby, Grand Papua

The directors of Neue Howaldtswerke and Neue Blohm & Voss had gathered at Lamana Hotel, the most important conference center in Grand Papua. While both companies had their headquarters in Neuberlin, it was decided that meeting in a different place, specifically the most important commercial city in the country, was necessary to lay down formality while the directors rested before tackling the enormous obstacle in front of them: the Ersatz-Dalian class battleship.

"Gentlemen, I suppose you have seen the plans of the issue?" said Dr. Helmut Burmester of Neue Howaldtswerke.

"Neue Blohm & Voss had several meetings over this, and we have to say that we're not even sure if this is capable of being built. The sheer size of what they want is just...."
Herbert Aly demurred from going further. "Before we go into the actual problems of the armaments and such, just how do we even build such a ship? None of us have the docks suitable for such a large ship. I'm pretty sure only those warmongers up north have them."

"We'll have to call up the man behind the world's largest shipyard....."

Utsuyama, Grand Papua

Chisan Mojun picked up the phone. "Hello?"

"Good day, Mr. Chisan. Would you be interested in a project that we at Neue Howaldtswerke and Neue Blohm & Voss are currently doing?"

"And what would that be?"

"A 414 meter long, 280,000 ton battleship."

"Interesting. But wouldn't you already have the capabilities for such a ship?"

"You know only Gendai Heavy Industries would be able to build a ship of that size in this country. We're willing to give you 70% of the price for taking on the hull."

"All right, fax me the details. I'll have my engineers look over the plans and see if they can be come up with"

"Thank you. I'll make sure the Krupp provides some of its naval guns if needed for your future ships."

"That wouldn't be necessary, we have our own sources for that. Good day."

Salutations,

The Torstenson-class submarine usually takes about six months for a full fitting out and construction, and costs around 2.25 Billion SEK (OOC: Around $320 Million) for each vessel, as for the other submarine you requested, how many of these submarines would you like built? Currently, we could build those submarines in about a year.

We would like for four of them to be build. About payment, we would like to pay 50% now and 50% upon delivery, if that is possible.

Classified

The Vicidalia Modular Ship Design (VMSD) has been extented to the battleship, with the new Blois-class. 2 hulls are laid down in Koper and the ship is expected to enter service in 6 months. Altough it has the classification battleship, the VMSD system allows for standartisation across ship designs and for fast construction and repairs, due to the interchangeability of weapon systems across classes.

Classified

Altough it looked rather old, design-wise, the Croatian Ducal Navy has laid down 6 hulls for Vicidalia-class ships. The Vicidalia-class should give the Ducal Navy a better ASW, reconnaisance and limited aerial warfare capability.

Still Classified

Just right for the war, the 6 ships of the Vicidalia, Hrvatska, Colombia, Panama, Antilles and Ecuador were launched after months of construction.

They were tasked to join the Grand Fleet.
