The nations currently/previously on the Mq AA have become accustomed to dictating their own terms. They believed that they could attack TDO for a round or two and then be free to move on to future endeavors. Along with some likeminded individuals, we felt that to be unacceptable. We believe that actions should have consequences, and that in order to deter future incidents similar to this one, it was necessary to bring these criminals to justice.
We remain committed to finishing the task we started. To those unsure on our position on this matter, we consider these nations to be our enemies until such a time as we say otherwise. These nations must individually seek peace, and we will not recognize any third party attempting to negotiate on their behalf. They will find that we will do our absolute best to be accomodating and allow them to move on to new endeavors, however we refuse to tolerate the notion that they should be able to exit this fight without facing the consequences of their actions. -
Yes.Do I look like a bitch to you?
And despite all this DBDC chest-thumping, you don't see me sweating very hard. I wonder why that is. -
How cute of you.

At the end of the day, you are only what other people recognize you to be. An alliance can be as straight up as possible, and if others refuse to recognize them as a serious alliance, they aren't going to be able to operate as such.He did pick one. He laid out membership requirements for DBDC, then said they are members of DBDC. if you continue to attack DBDC, don't be suprised if they retaliate. Thats the gist of the warning in the OP.
That said, I think we've made our feelings on this clear. DBDC committed acts of hostility against us by accepting members who we have unfinished business with. We have no desire to engage with the DBDC as the legitimate alliance they claim to be, however that is a matter that will be decided by them, not us.TPF demands one million dollars.

Ah Londo, you do refuse to let the facts get in the way of a good story, don't you.Excuse me, but Mushqaeda had a DOE, a DOW, and 50 members. That was not a rogue act, that was a highly coordinated and concerted war effort. What TPF and others are doing is attempting to hunt down former members of Mushqaeda without having articulated a clear motivation or rationale. I have personally been threatened with eternal war by TPF, although no reasons have been given. For that matter, TPF did not even state any reasons for attacking us in the first place. I think it makes them feel tough or something, lol. Wars in the game have become very uncommon, and Mushqaeda already had to be at war with several others alliances comprising many many times its NS for TPF to gather the courage to attack us, but gather it they did. It might be easy to pass judgement on TPF for being so cowardly, but we should really be celebrating TPF for showing up.
Gold star for participation TPF, Gold star.
Aside from the fact that (as Roadie pointed out), we were actually among the very first at this party, I don't know who's been threatening you with eternal war, but rest assured, if you want peace, you should come and talk with us, we would be more then receptive to have a conversation with you. And when I say that you should come and talk with us, I mean you yourself, and not whatever alliance you're attempting to cowardly hide behind this week. But we have no qualms what-so-ever about continuing this war as long as we need to in order to acheive the effect we desire, and really all we want if for you to say that you're sorry and make a few simple, mostly painless concessions.
We're not bad people, we just believe that actions have consequences. Based off the absolute confusion which you demonstrate, I guess perhaps that's a concept too advanced for you and your friends to understand. -
The Big Bad Wolf pretended to be Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother, but pretending alone didn't make it true.
For all the talk, I'm afraid that I just don't buy this "we're a legitimate alliance" stuff. I notice Londo has a slot opening next update, I'll see if we can't take care of that. I wish I could tell you that I'm shaking in my boots about your threats, but I just have a difficult time becoming too bothered by them. -
Well, this changes everything.
-
I'd say there's a decent chance you're right, however I regret that for much the same reason I neglected to get to know their good friends MK, it's not something that I'm likely to do, on account of I simply don't have the patience to get to know a bunch of children.Long ago I was once like you.
They're really quite alright when you get to know them.
Yes, coming from TPF. But I really don't see what's funny about it, considering that we're superior to GOONs in pretty much every way conceivable. If you'd like to see what I mean, by all means come see us.Hahhahahah from TPF? That's pretty funny right there.
-
This would be a big deal in a world where GOONs wasn't a terrible alliance.
Unfortunately, we don't live in a world where GOONs isn't a terrible alliance. -
Best wishes in your future homes, you will be missed.

You might want to evaluate where you hear things from. But by all means, that's a brilliant comeback which does absolutely nothing to, you know, refute the claims I made. But you know, even if we did have only the same number of active nations as LPH, we'd still be able to do 3x the damage.Well aren't you just a foolish little tool. TPF is about as active as LPH was, last I heard. With three times the nations.
But you miss the point, if those were your objectives and you truly believed you had a chance at accomplishing them, then you are a fool and don't understand A) your own ability and B) how things work. -
Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but even if LPH wasn't tearing itself apart, I doubt you would have had the clout to accomplish that. In fact, I think it would be somewhat counter-productive, considering the number of people who are by no means fans of yours. I saw that DoW and I thought to myself "go-time", and then I saw Deebo's thread and my bubble burst.Actually, we in LPH that attacked did so to help even out the numbers for our friends. We applied pressure because not only do I have a longstanding friendship with MK (and thus their newfound rogue nations) and DBDC, but I wanted to cut off a curbstomp based on "protecting neutrality." They're neutral for a reason, guys, and it's because they don't want to defend you or have you defend them. If they've suddenly decided to get friendly now that they're in danger, it seems to be a bit cowardly to me, and a sign that they likely won't want to attack anyone for you in the future either.
NADC is a counterpoint of this, but iirc they sat their war out on their own. -
Actually, we did have a treaty a few years back, but we grew apart (and then back together again).Congrats on putting something to paper that has felt like reality for so many years.
In fact, this treaty is named as a reference to that treaty, which was called the Etch-a-Sketch pact. -
The Phoenix Federation and NATO, hereafter referred to as "the signatories", do hereby enter into this agreement as a monument to their friendship, trust and respect, with the goal of laying the foundation for a future of coordination and cooperation to their mutual benefit.
You are drawing WHISPER
It is hereafter resolved that neither signatory shall make intentional efforts to undermine or compromise the sovereign right of the other to make autonomous decisions, nor shall either signatory intentionally act in such a manner as to compromise the interests, security or well-being of the other. The signatories also pledge to share information which could affect the application of this agreement, as well as any information which is relevant to the security and well-being of the other.
You are drawing FIGHT
The signatories agree to work together on matters of economics and military when possible. Should either signatory be attacked except as a result of their own engagement in an ongoing conflict, the other signatory shall be obliged to assist them in any manner possible. Furthermore, the signatories may join one another in acts of aggression at their own discretion.
You are drawing BREAKUP
Should either signatory verifiably violate the provisions of this agreement, it may be immediately voided at the discretion of the other signatory. Should either signatory come to a decision that the continuation of this agreement is no longer in their best interests, this treaty may be concluded 72 hours following the provision of private notice.

What a terrific pairing, if two alliances deserve each other, it's these two.
-
I never much cared for CSN, frankly for the longest time I thought you were absolute trash. Your opening post was strong with the hubris, but Invicta are good people, and I wish you the best there.
-
Could have done with a better protector, but best of luck none-the-less.
-
Well Alterego, I have to admit, I had a pretty good chuckle reading that, it's really a fantastic read.
But two things, 1) where the hell have you been, we cancelled those treaties at the start of last week, either pay attention or don't, but don't come around pretending like you know what's going on when you don't and 2) from the standpoints of facts, you don't have a fucking clue what you're talking about.
-
It certainly shows who's afraid to take some damage. That many of these people have decided to cancel treaties only now that their side is "doomed" is very telling. If your paths were truly diverging, they would have been doing so for quite a while, and you're either opportunistic or apathetic.
Good luck on being useful to a coalition for the first time in ever, TPF.
Frankly, we don't want to be on any side that you are on.
But no, honestly, you can say whatever you'd like, but to suggest that we are afraid to take some damage could not make it any clearer that you don't know the first thing about what you're fucking talking about.
Not that it's a big surprise though.
-
Just not realized that I had yet to reply to this topic. I guess all the usual stuff, wasn't an easy decision, wish them the best, & so on, but really above everything else, I am truly sorry that it didn't work out and that our paths needed to diverge, and I would like to thank AI and GATO for being so professional during this process.

Congrats guys, just don't make the same mistake I did and mistake your senility for wisdom :P

BF1?
Is that still going on?

Assuming 2 universities and best practices:
0-50: 649,780
0-100: 1,750,580
Profit per deal
@ prior limits of 3m or 50 tech:
3/50: 2.35m
3/100: 1.7m
@ current limits of 6m or 100 tech:
6/100: 4.24m
6/200: 2.49m
Average profit (sellers) per month, assuming 5 slots:
6/100 deals: 31.8m
6/200 deals: 12.45m
Average import (buyers) per month, assuming 6 slots:
6/100 deals: 900 tech
6/200 deals: 1200 tech
I could not, in good conscience, buy from others in my alliance or my protectorates at 6/200 because it's 18.5m less money for them while only 300 more tech for me in a 30 day period. If I could find that outside my alliance/protectorates, I would do it because I have no interest in their well-being, but we all know that it's hard to find those.
It's kind of messed up that the people you end up ripping off in tech deals are those closest to you. -
The protector needs a protector, stat.
It just so happens that UA is protected. Now you might ask yourself who would be dumb enough to do that, but you go and read the protection thread, and you'll be surprised that you didn't think of it right away.

I would assume this is some kind of cron job problem, with the server being down at update it didn't run it, for example it won't let me run naval attacks, saying that I've already conducted 3 navy operations today (when I haven't run any), and wouldn't let me spy on somebody shortly after it came back online (although I'm not certian, i doubt that they had actually had their limit of operations conducted on them at that point.)
