It is not over yet, JBone has yet to surrender and I know he will be very stubborn to as well. I have been keeping track of this (for my nation at least), and will probably post this at the end of the duel.

I definitely would, easily saved saved him at least 200 infra in air attacks though I lost because of his extra planes.

In order to be successful using the war system, it also takes knowledge and skill, especially when it comes to ground attacks. JBone entered this duel with a significant Infra and Tech advantage on me (well over 1K in each department) as well as having the AADN and FSS wonder which gives him a huge benefit. If you look at the damage totals on the first page you will realized he has the edge in Infra damage, while tech is virtually even and I have an edge in land damage. His has done more infra damage is because of his tech bonus when it comes to Nukes and CMs, and his aircraft bonus with the AADN and FSS. But I have been able to hold even in tech damage and do more land damage because of my success on the ground with stealing and looting land and tech. On paper, there is no reason for this to happen, but because the war system actually takes into account a persons knowledge and expertise on what the best strategies are I am able to be competitive in this duel.

You should know exactly what I am talking about. The culture and the people who contributed to it back in TF! and then the beginning of TPF are no longer there. It started with the BANG merger, with Slayer wanting a sanction, that started TPF's decline. Then the closed off government, lack of trust, and treating the general membership as puppets/meatshields is what finished TPF off for me. It lost the community/family feel it once had, and used to embrace.

It actually ain't all the lands fault, it has more to do with your trade resources too. His spices + sugar give him an extra 11% population bonus on you, so that easily makes up for around half of it.

Got to say I am very impressed with starting only 5 minutes before update and the amount of declarations so far.

Since CTB already hit the nail on the head about Peggy Sue claiming she will honorable and not attack Twisted to make up for it, even though that is probably because she cannot hit, I will talk about another point. To address the "no rules" part of the duel, the "no rules" only comes into affect when the duel and those rules, or lack there of, are actually agreed upon. Not when one party says the duel is off, or will not start till a later date.
