VNN News:'Outer Mongolia to 'cease to exist'? Prime Minister Dmitri Ivanov has proposed a legislative measure to redraw Vaule’s internal provincial borders so that the Outer Mongolian-Buryat Region will ‘cease to exist as a political entity’. The highly controversial plan would involve partitioning the province into two or three different sections to be administered by neighboring provinces. The regional government based in Novaya Ulanbataar would be completely dissolved under this proposal. The Prime Minister has also proposed granting a member of the military the power to ‘rule the regions by decree’ during the transition phase of the proposal. Regional President of the Outer Mongolian-Buryat Region has voiced serious opposition to the proposal and suggests that the proposed divisions would undermine the ability of the citizens living in Outer Mongolia to have proportional representation in the Parliament. President Li has also suggested that there would be ‘serious consequences for all parties if a unilateral course of action is attempted’ Prime Minister Ivanov has said that, if the Parliament approves the measure and if President Rokossovsky does not intervene, that the plan may be implemented by the Army in less than two and a half months. It is unknown how the vote in Parliament will go as both the Nationalist and Socialist parties have large voting blocks, 281 and 279 seats respectively in the 600 seat Parliament. Any such measure would require a 2/3 majority to prevent President Rokossovsky from vetoing it. President Rokossovsky, who is still at a press conference, has not yet commented on the proposal. The Outer Mongolian regional government has called a mass rally in Novaya Ulanbataar to voice their opposition to the proposal even before the Parliament vote is complete. VNN:Vaule President National Address to Parliament President Rokossovsky and Prime Minister Ivanov are scheduled to make a televised address to the new Vaulian Parliament on a wide range of topics, including the budget, changes in Vaule’s foreign policy and upcoming amendments to Vaule’s constitution. What is unusual about this address is the fact that the International press has been invited to question the President and Prime Minister of Vaule either in person, or via satellite. Questions may also be posed by Vaulian citizens. The Vaulian Parliament has also released the agenda for the first session of Parliament: Any nation that wishes to send press to question either the President or Prime Minister may contact the Vaulian Ministry of the Interior, which will facilitate either entry visas, or satellite communication. Valen adjusted his course to head for the UFE. As he flew over Outer Mongolia his mind wondered again to his wife Natalya. Did she escape? Did she make it to Outer Mongolia? Was she waiting for him in the UFE? He held onto hope, and accelerated across the horizon. ***The persuing MiG*** The remaining MiG continued to chase Valen, however Lady Vache deliberately kept some distance between them. “You’re out of missiles now Misha. It seems you stole the plane before its armaments were replaced.”-Vache “…I see you still have two missiles left”-Valen “Indeed.”-Vache “Yet you haven’t used them yet”-Valen “Why bring a missile to a gun-fight?”-Vache Suddenly Valen slowed and performed a half loop and attempted to target the remaining MiG. Expecting the maneuver, Vache accelerated rapidly then dropped altitude. Realizing that Valen would win if the battle was a prolonged one, Vache decided to take advantage of Valen’s weakness and use it to destroy him. “Don’t you want to hear what your wife said?”-Vache “…”-Valen “She said some rather amusing things before I put a bullet between her eyes”-Vache “You bast…”-Valen As Valen suddenly turned to attack Vache’s MiG from behind, Vache swung left and reduced speed allowing Valen’s MiG to overshoot. Immediately Valen realized that he made a fatal mistake. As Vache lined up the target, Valen began to pray: “Dear God. I beg you, please protect my wife and keep her from harm in the name of the Father, the Son and…”-Valen "Check-mate"-Vache Vache fired the MiG’s 30 mm cannon, and smiled as Valen’s MiG exploded in a large fireball. She then received a message from command: “You’re about ½ a mile to the border with UFE. Someone on their side probably saw the explosion. Get to the nearest residential area and destroy the MiG immediately.”-??? “Understood Director”-Vache Vache changed course and flew towards Lake Baikal, deciding that the lake would be the perfect place to get rid of the MiG. ***30 mins later*** As soon as Lake Baikal was in view, Vache adjusted her course to take her as close to the lake as possible, before she ejected. ***Listvyanka, shores of Lake Baikal*** It was a calm day in the Listvyanka marketplace as merchants went about selling their wares. Suddenly the calm was disturbed by the sound of something crashing into Lake Baikal. As a small crowd gathered to determine the cause of the disturbance, Lady Vache parachuted down onto the shore of the lake. Noticing the shocked glances of the residence, she just replied: “What!? Have you never seen a woman before?”-Vache As she walked through the crowd, she noticed a local fisherman staring intently at her with his mouth wide open in amazement. She walked over to the man and replied: “Close your mouth, or I will close it for you. And I will make sure that you can never open it again.”-Vache

-MiG 29 piloted by General Valen As the Mikhail flew south east, towards Outer Mongolia, with the three other MiGs in hot pursuit, Radar stations across Vaule picked up, and started tracking the MiGs. -Pursuing MiGs When the military contacted SWoRD HQ, they were told that the four MiGs were carrying out a ‘special military exercise’ and should be left alone. ***The Sky over Arcannez Province*** Mikhail, realizing that he is being tailed by three other MiGs, suddenly changes course toward the South and arms the MiG 29s Air-to-air missiles. Vache’s voice echoes over the radio: “I have to admit General Valen, I am enjoying this game of cat and mouse. Let’s see what you’re made of”-Vache -Lady Vache Vache gave a signal to the two other MiG 29s flying next to her, and they broke formation and accelerated forward gaining on Valen’s MiG. Suddenly Valen decelerated, surprising two of the chasing MiGs. As the pilots attempted to get a lock on Valen’s aircraft, Valen executed a Herbst Maneuver, catching the pursuing pilots by surprise. Before the pilots could respond, Valen quickly downed one of the MiGs. The second MiG quickly banked left and dropped altitude in an attempt to move out of Valen’s targeting range. As Valen moved to follow him, Vache pulled back and decreased her altitude to attempt to attack her adversary from behind. As the three MiGs each dropped altitude, Valen suddenly broke off his attack, leveled off and executed a Split S. The MiG continued to drop altitude, as its pilot frantically attempted to regain height. Suddenly the MiG lost control and crashed into the ground, exploding into a massive fireball. Valen evaded Vache’s MiG and continued on his course South. Lady Vache executed a Split S, and resumed tailing Valen’s MiG. “My, my…It seems you’re reputation is well deserved. However you underestimate me.”-Vache The two MiGs continued the chase across the skies of Vaule. General Valen broadcast a message on all frequencies to the Northern Empire, the United Francoist Empire, Slavorussia and Tyranar. “This is General Mikhail Valen of the Vaule Air Force. I am currently being pursued by two MiG fighter jets belonging to Vaule’s secret service. I hereby request amnesty, and permission to enter your nation’s airspace. I am willing to part with important highly sensitive information in exchange for the amnesty”-Valen

***Next morning 5:30am*** Misha put on his uniform, and walked out of his house to report in with VAF Command. As he and another officer refueled a MiG-29 sitting on the base’s third runway, he noticed unusual activity near the entrance of the base. The Guard on duty at the entrance was talking to five or six blue uniformed soldiers. Misha instantly recognized one of the soldiers as Lady Vache. Before he could react, he noticed Lady Vache walking towards his house flanked by the other guards. Reacting on adrenaline alone, Misha jumped into the $@pit of the MiG-29 and prepared to take off. He quickly sent his wife a text message: “Nat. Get out NOW!!!” ***Inside the Valen Residence*** Hearing a knock at the door, Natalya hurried to answer it. She opened the door just enough to come face to face with Lady Vache. Immediately Natalya threw her weight against the door and tried to push it closed, but Lady Vache acted quickly and kicked Natalya through the opening in the door. As Natalya doubled over in pain, Lady Vache opened the door and entered the house. “Aren’t you going to invite me in?”-Vache “No”-Natalya Without wasting time, Vache asked: “Tell me, where is your charming husband?”-Vache Natalya spit at Vache and replied: “Go to hell”-Natalya As Lady Vache noticed the suitcases nearby and the remnants of the bug planted behind the portrait, she turned to face Natalya and replied: “Oooooooooh. Misha’s been a bad, bad boy”-Vache “I will tell you nothing. Get out of my house!”-Natalya In a single quick movement, Lady Vache drew her pistol and aimed it at Natalya: “Be careful, you might be seeing God a lot sooner than you think”-Vache As Natalya stared defiantly up at Lady Vache waiting for the end to come, she heard a feint humming noise. “What the?”-Vache Suddenly, the sound got louder and it became clear that it was an aircraft taking off from the nearby runway. Waving to two of the guards nearby, Vache ordered: “Hold her until I get back” As Vache and two other SWoRD operatives hurried onto the runway, they could only watch as the MiG-29 disappeared over the horizon. Vache then noticed three MiG-29s in a nearby hangar. “Commandeer those MiGs immediately”-Vache Less than five minutes later the three MiGs were airborne and hot on the trail of the fleeing Valen. SWoRD radar stations were notified and ordered to continuously relay their targets position.

Reply from the Angelus: "If you wish to attack us, after we have left your 'territorial waters' (which we maintain we did not enter) then by all means go ahead. However we are prepared to respond if necessary"

The Submarine adjusted course to the south west, attempting to fully exit Confucian territorial waters in the shortest possible time. The submarine sends a short reply: "We will adjust course to avoid remaining in Confucian territorial waters. However as for your allies territorial waters, we suggest that you speak to your allies before patrolling their territorial waters on their behalf." The Vaulian government issues no reply. ***Classified*** At the Outer Mongolian VAF Airbase, five F-22s are placed on alert.

***Underneath Vaule’s subways*** -Subway map (excluding secret tunnels) The Construction of the Vaule subway upgrades (and the classified tunnels) in the capital, had been completed ahead of schedule due to the conscription of nearly 12,000 prisoners from all across Vaule. The prisoners, who were promised their freedom for participating, had gathered in a special room built underneath the subway. Soldiers from the SWoRD division entered the room, led by Xenia Onatopp. -Xenia Onatopp “Gentlemen, your service to the nation of Vaule will never be forgotten. You have helped to build a shelter to bolster the defense of Vaule in the event of war…”-Xenia As Xenia spoke, unnoticed by the prisoners, guards were moving into position on the surrounding balconies of the large room. “…should it occur. Now, as you have been promised, none of you will be returning to prison!”-Xenia The prisoners cheered, and some shouted “Freedom!”. Xenia smiled then replied: “However none of you will be leaving here.”-Xenia Suddenly the guards fired on the prisoners from the balconies. As the chaos ended, the guards began to clean up the mess; unknown to them two soldiers had seen everything and hurried out of the room unnoticed. ***After the execution of the prisoners*** Major General Mikhail Valen, a decorated officer in the Vaule Air Force, arrived at his small apartment on the Arcannez Air Base. His wife Natalya Valen sat in the living room waiting for his return. Noticing the stunned look on his face, his wife asked: “Misha, what happened?”-Natalya “10,000…They killed 10,000 of them”-Mikhail “Of who?”-Natalya “Prisoners. They were tricked into working for SWoRD to construct some facility… They were promised freedom, instead they killed them. They killed them all!”-Mikhail “Who killed them Misha?”-Natalya “Vache, and SWoRD. Yuri was with them”-Misha Shocked Natalya replied: “Your brother? Yuri? Did he survive?”-Natalya “No…they killed him too.”-Misha “We need to do something Misha!”-Natalya “I’ve already reported the incident to the General”-Misha “And?!”-Natalya “His hands are tied, the orders came from SWoRD. There isn’t anything they can do.”-Misha “I don’t believe it! The entire military is SPINELESS! Everyone is so afraid to question SWoRD or Vache, so they sit like obedient dogs and obey her every command!”-Natalya. Mikhail, still seething with anger, poured himself a glass of vodka then sat beside his wife. Suddenly Mikhail jumped to his feet and ran to the portrait of his father hanging on the nearby wall. As he ripped the portrait from the wall, and tore the top corner, he found a small bug. The color drained from Natalya’s face as she realized that everything they had said was heard by SWoRD. Mikhail threw the small microphone to the ground and crushed it under his boot. “We need to leave Vaule, Natalya. Start packing”-Misha As she hurried to gather some of her belongings, she spoke: “Misha, we can’t both just disappear. You’ve got to report in tomorrow morning or they’ll know something is up”-Natalya “We could make it to the border.”-Misha “Not this late. Border patrols would be heightened, especially with SWoRD in the area.”-Natalya Mikhail thought for a few minutes then hatched a plan. “We’ll go separately. You just need to pretend to take a vacation and head to my parents in Novaya-Ulanbataar. Once you’re there, it’s a short bus ride to the border.”-Misha “What about you?”-Natalya “I’ll report in for duty tomorrow morning then head out at noon.”-Misha

After less than two hours docked in the Northern Empire, the VNS Angelus departs. ***On board the Angelus*** "Crewman, take us out of port. 5 knots"-Ramius "Aye sir"-Crewman "Once we are clear of the port, dive and increase speed to 20 knots. Our next port will be in the UFE"-Ramius The First Officer, who had been sitting in a corner of the bridge spoke up: "Belay that command crewman" - First Officer The crew was stunned, and could only glance back and forth between Ramius and his First Officer. "Once we are clear of the port, you are ordered to dive and increase speed to 22 knots. We will be heading directly to Tanis from here. I have decided that time is of the essence and we will not need to make another stop."-First Officer The awkward silence was broken by Ramius who replied: "What are you all staring at! Carry out your orders! 22 knots, direct course."-Ramius "Aye Sir!"-Crewmen

VNN News: Communist Youth group Revived?! This morning President Rokossovsky announced that, after deliberations with Parliament, he has decided to sign a Presidential Decree reforming the Vaulian Communist Pioneer Movement. The new movement is to be called the “Vaulian Association of Youth Pioneers (VAYP)” and will supersede any existing Scout programs and will be run by the government. Some political columnists supported the move while others strongly condemned it. President Rokossovsky maintains that the VAYP will be a Nationalist and not a Communist Movement. Prime Minister Ivanov has praised the move. In a statement released this morning, the Prime Minister said: “I support this move 100%. This will be extremely beneficial to Vaule. It will instill a greater sense of the importance of national service, discipline and nationalism in the next generation.” Minutes after the President signed the decree, thousands of parents swarmed the Interior Ministry eager to sign their children up for the program. While many of them were convinced to do so out of national pride, others admit that the bonuses played a part in their decision. According to the decree, approved VAYP members receive preferential tuition and scholarships at all High Schools and are allowed to attend special schools reserved for only VAYP members. These schools are extremely well funded by the government and are known for having impressive results and a rigorous curriculum. At regular High Schools across Vaule, the government has deployed trained VAYP teachers to lead the groups at each school. VNN contacted the offices of the VAYP movement for more information, and we received a number of informational brochures and a ‘Little Blue Book’. While most of the information we read in the book appears to be mostly national history, some passages raised some red flags: The group also uses strongly Nationalist Symbols such as the FVN flag (Flag of the Free Vaulian Nationalists) and a modified version of the Anthem of the former Russian Federation called: “I will eternally guard the motherland”. Some people are also concerned about the connotations of the group’s motto: “Justice, Motherland, Freedom! One concerned citizen that was interviewed by VNN expressed her disapproval. (She has requested not to be named for fear of reprisal): “What the President has done today is a giant step backwards. Just like the Communists tried to brainwash children to become their fanatics, President Rokossovsky is attempting to use Nationalism to brainwash a whole new generation into following him. That is unacceptable, and my children will never join such an organization.” The VAYP Central Committee has scheduled their first Mass-meeting for next week, in Revolution Square in the capital of Vaule. Before that meeting, the VAYP regional student leaders (called “Commanders”) are expected to meet with Prime Minister Ivanov. VNN Election Results: We have now received the official results of the Legislative Election from the Vaule Electoral Commission (VEC). In a hotly contested legislative election that saw a turnout of more than 75% of the electorate, the Nationalist Party made significant gains and is now the largest party in the Legislature. The Communist Party also gained a significant number of seats cementing their influence in the Legislature for the first time since the end of Communism in 1991. -Election Results (Nationalists = Blue, Socialists = Green, Communists = Orange) While the Nationalists have a majority of only 2 seats, the Nationalist Party leader Dmitri Ivanov will be the next Prime Minister even if the Nationalists manage to form a coalition. In order to proceed with any of his proposed Legislation, Mr. Ivanov will need to gain the support of either the Communists or will need to have some members of the Socialist party break ranks with the President. Political Analysts believe that this will force Mr. Ivanov to focus his policies more towards the centre than the right, in order to gain a significant majority. Defying the pollsters, the Republic Party managed to hold on to two of their three seats in Parliament. Party Leader Maria Gaznayev edged out Independent MP Vladimir Zubovich by 57% to his 43%(200 votes were cast). Mr. Zubovich famously declared during his campaign that: “The government is run by a secret order of Martians. Once elected, I will commission the military to invade Mars to defeat the evil Martians once and for all.” Mr. Zubovich is also the first candidate in history to be sent to a mental institution a few weeks into the campaign. The first issue to be debated by the new Parliament is a new response to the continuing economic crisis. The Nationalist Party favors tighter controls on government spending and increased oversight of corporations, while the Communist Party favors an economic stimulus package. In almost all of Vaule’s provinces, the election went smoothly and without incident. As is the norm in Vaule, Outer Mongolia was the exception to the rule. In South Eastern Outer Mongolia, the polling results showed three Nationalist MPs winning in areas that were polled to have majority support for Libertarian candidates. The VEC attributes this ‘anomaly’ to a number of ballots that were deemed inadmissible and were rejected. Some citizens of the Outer Mongolian-Buryat Autonomous Region, mostly students, took to the streets in protest. As the protest was illegal de to the State of Emergency in the region, Riot police intervened and urged protesters to disperse. While most obeyed, some started a small riot. The police report that the riot was 'quickly put down, and the perpetrators were arrested' -Rioters near the Central Government building in the Outer Mongolian-Buryat Region The Prime Minister will be sworn in by President Rokossovsky at the Imperial Palace tomorrow morning. Prime Minister-elect Ivanov has expressed his desire to immediately begin working on a solution to the economic crisis. What remains unclear, is if Prime Minister-elect Ivanov will continue with his motion to Impeach President Rokossovsky.

I demand you tell me who you contacted.”-Ramius “Perhaps this matter would best be discussed in your cabin…sir”-First Officer Ramius reluctantly agreed and led the First Officer to a nearby cabin. Once inside the First Officer spoke: “What I was doing is none of your business, and it would be best for you if you do not interfere with my work”-First Officer “Do you think this is some kind of game! Sooner or later, I will figure out what is going on here”-Ramius “I doubt it.”-First Officer Without waiting to be dismissed the First Officer turned to leave the Captain’s cabin. Before leaving he turned to the Captain and replied: “Should you at any time hinder my work or compromise this mission, then SWoRD will have to pay a visit to your wife and children in Sygh-Varthys.”-First Officer With an evil grin, the First Officer continued: “…we all know that SWoRD can’t always guarantee their survival. After all, so many accidents can happen nowadays. One could drown, or accidentally fall out of an aircraft.”-First Officer As the First Officer exited the cabin and closed the door behind him, the crewmen heard Captain Ramius hurling objects around in his cabin and swearing in Russian.

***Onboard the VNS Angelus*** Captain Ramius sat in his quarters looking over charts and mission logs, when his First Officer entered the cabin. “We have arrived for refueling. We are currently just outside of the Northern Empire’s territorial waters.”-First Officer “I see. Request permission from the Northern Empire to dock, and await further instructions.”-Ramius “Aye Sir.”-First Officer As the First Officer turned to leave the cabin, Captain Ramius spoke: “Tell me, why are we going to the Republic of Tanis with 10 of Vaule’s nuclear weapons?”-Ramius “As for the nuclear weapons, we are only carrying 3 actual weapons, the rest are dummies. And as for the reasons behind the mission…I’d tell you, but then I’d have to kill you.”-First Officer Angered, Ramius jumped to his feet and glared at the First Officer. “My crew is being sent thousands of miles from home on some kind of mission and I am not even allowed to know what that is! Unacceptable!”-Ramius Without even wincing under the Captains’ glare, the First Officer replied: “This sub will either make it to the Republic of Tanis with you in command, or you might have…an accident. After all Captain Ramius, a submarine is a dangerous place”-First Officer ***Coded message to the Northern Empire*** This is VNS Angelus requesting permission to dock for refueling and supplies. ***End of message*** === === ***Just Outside Western Republic Airspace, on board the Imperial Tu-144*** Azenquor glanced out of the nearby window as the Western Republic came into sight. The Prince’s Chief of Staff, walked into the cabin and announced: “We have arrived” Without moving, the Prince replied: “No kidding” ***Message to the Western Republic*** This is Vaulia One requesting permission to enter Western Republic airspace and requesting landing co-ordinates. ***End of Message***

***on board the VNS Angelus*** -Cpt. Ramius The Angelus had been underway for almost 48 hours en route to the Republic of Tanis. As ordered, Captain Ramius and his First Officer opened the sealed orders from Military HQ. The silence was broken by a voice over the intercom: “Captain, we have reached the Bering Strait. Orders?” “Adjust course to heading due south. Increase speed to 20 knots”-Ramius === ***Arcannez Regional Airport*** In an unusual break in the cold of the Siberian winter, 12 soldiers stood at attention on the airport’s main runway. A soldier carrying the Imperial Standard, and a cloaked figure walked from the terminal building towards a waiting Tu-144 aircraft. As the cloaked figure passed the honor guard, they saluted. Once the cloaked figure and five of the soldiers boarded the aircraft it sped down the runway and soon disappeared over the horizon. ***On board the Tu-144*** -The Imperial Tu-144 Prince Azenquor removed his cloak and took his seat next to the window as the staff and soldiers settled in to their duties. Azenquor’s gaze was fixed on the terminal as it disappeared from view. VNN Breaking News: Vaule holds snap legislative election -President Rokossovsky at a Socialist Party rally in Novaya Zemlya -Imperatrix Marimeya at a press conference shortly after the dissolution of Parliament After almost a month of political deadlock that resulted in President Rokossovsky suspending the Parliament to hinder a Nationalist led vote of no confidence, the President has elected to dissolve Parliament and hold a snap election. Political analysts believe that the President is forcing the Parliament to face the electorate before they begin attempts to topple him. “It is simple, the MPs who voted to proceed with impeachment will now have to face the electorate. There is no doubt that the President hopes that the electorate will remove some of the MPs who pushed for the Impeachment motion. However it is also possible that the election will return a strong Nationalist majority that will further undermine the President”-Political Analyst Our VNN election analysts have broken down the issues and the political parties. Nationalist Party – Originally the Nationalist Party had only a marginal influence on Vaule Politics. However the rise of Dmitri Ivanov as party leader has seen an increase in the party’s base as well as its influence. The nationalists have been known to favor the ‘Vaule first, region second’ approach, evidenced by their skepticism of Vaule’s entry into the RUSSIAN pact. The party is also popular for their uncompromising position on the Outer Mongolian conflict. Party Leader Ivanov has stressed in the Nationalist Party manifesto that: ‘there cannot and will not be an independent state in the Outer Mongolian-Buryat Autonomous province. Any unilateral action by any entity, internal or external forces in Vaule, with the aim of achieving such a state, shall be swiftly dealt with using any means (including military force)’ Socialist Party- The Party of President Rokossovsky, that currently holds a slim majority in the Legislature. The Party has been relatively popular in Vaule, but is facing a minor split over how to handle the economic crisis. The Socialist Party is credited with reforming Vaule’s Healthcare system, infrastructure and military institutions and making the transition from a command to a partial market economy. The party is also credited with the creation of Vaule’s National Health Insurance Program (NHIP) and the State Subsidized Housing program (SSHP). The Party’s Outer Mongolian policy is best described by their manifesto statement: ‘There cannot, and will not be an independent state in Outer Mongolia without the approval of all Vaulians living in the region, and unless the views of those who wish not to join such a state will be heard and respected’ Democratic Party- This party has only once held the reins of power in Parliament. The party is known for being strict on government spending, and frequently pushes for more reforms to make Vaule a full market economy. The party has pushed aggressively for the curtailing of certain social programs due to the economic crisis. Republican Party- This party has significantly declined in influence since the rise of Maria Gaznayev to the leadership. Analysts say that the party ‘just refuses to stay dead’. The party has attempted to appeal to an Orthodox populace by attempting to present themselves as the ‘moral, religious alternative to the socialists’. They are not expected to be able to hold any of their three legislative seats, short of a divine intervention. Libertarian Party-Led by Dr. Aleksandar Izetbegović, the party is known for moderate foreign and domestic policies, and for strong support of human rights and civil liberties of all citizens. The libertarian party favors a negotiated settlement to the Outer Mongolian conflict that is approved by both sides. Communist Party- The communists, led by Georgy Zhuganov will be contesting the election for the first time since the ban on the party was lifted. Dr. Zhuganov has presented an ambitious proposal to combat the economic crisis by increasing taxes on certain businesses, adjusting the law so that NHIP and SSHP eligibility will include more workers. Dr. Zhuganov has also proposed to increase in the strength of unions, and to lift the national ban on strikes in certain industries. At this point we feel it would not help to stabilize the situation, if another nation got involved.” ==== ***Bukachacha, Outer Mongolian Buryat Autonomous Region*** 9:37 am: VNN Breaking News: New Vaule Military attack The Vaulian military has now confirmed that operations against the MVM have begun just north of Bukachacha, in Outer Mongolia. The Combined Security Force (CSF) airlifted 200 troops to the outskirts of the city last night in preparation for the offensive. At daybreak Vaule attack helicopters and the Vaule Air Force began precision bombing targets in the area. The bombings continued for several hours as the Operation continued into the morning. MVM forces responded by firing short range missiles and mortar attacks on nearby Regional Government bases in Outer Mongolia. The Vaule Air Force also bombed targets inside the city of Bukachacha, for the first time since the war began. The MVM has reported 12 casualties, and regional hospitals report 3 civilians killed and 4 injured. The Vaulian Military has declined to confirm the reports of civilian casualties. -Bukachacha building bombed by VAF -VAF Mi24 leaving the South Faron Air Base -Wheat field burning on the outskirts of the regional capital Novaya Ulanbataar Vaule Mi-24s have also carried out attacks south-east of Novaya Ulanbataar, as the CSF expands the offensive. At this time, it appears that the Vaulian military has no intention of deploying a larger force to the area, or to station units inside the region. As the offensive continues, the popularity of the Regional Government in Novaya Ulanbataar is steadily declining. Political analysts have suggested that silence by Regional President Li, as well as his failure to stop the offensive will make it extremely unlikely that he will be able to survive a regional election. Military analysts have applauded the President’s strategy in the region and have urged him to increase the frequency of attacks on MVM and MLA infrastructure in the coming days.
