We will allow the Veran Empire to add the territorial waters associated with that territory (the tiny bit in red) to their own territorial waters. Should the government of the Veran Empire wish to expand westward, we would be more than willing to transfer parts of the Rossiskaya corridor to the Veran Empire.

The government of Vaule has lowered the national DEFCON level to DEFCON 3, effective immediately. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has also lowered the National Threat level to BLUE. The government has not yet given a reason for the move, but the President is scheduled to address the nation shortly. -VauleThreat Alert System (VTAS) ***Classified*** The task force that departed Novaya Zemlya and headed toward the east is ordered back to Vaule, immediately. All defense systems remain activated and the army is still on high alert.

The Government of the United Democratic Republic of Vaule, after private deliberations with the leaders of the Turkic nation has decided that we will recognize the declaration of existence of the Turk state. Our decision to do so is independent of the other members of the RUSSIAN pact. OOC: Actually the "Rossiskaya Corridor" is the name that I've given to that bit of land to the west of you that is owned by Estovakia. So you should contact them. When the agreement with them expires, the territorial waters in red will revert to your nation, as well as a portion of the land immediately west of you.

The government of Vaule voices our vehement opposition to the current borders of the “Turkish” entity, as they stand. We also state our disapproval of the fact that this declaration of a new government in the protectorate region was done prior to any discussions or talks with the RUSSIAN pact, or any individual signatory thereof. We also find the tone of your declaration to be of sincere concern. We would like to hear the thoughts of other RUSSIAN pact members before we decide upon a course of action regarding this matter. Breaking News: Embarrassing defeat for Prime Minister Ivanov We have confirmed that Prime Minister Ivanov has failed to gather the necessary 2/3 of the Parliament to approve the measure. In a shocking move, members of the Prime Minister's Nationalist party voted against the proposal to dissolve the Outer Mongolian-Buryat Autonomous region. In the 600 member Parliament only 210 members (only Nationalist MPs) voted in favor of the proposal. The Socialist Party of President Rokossovsky voted a resounding No with all 279 of their MPs. The Vaule Communist Party, sided with the Socialists and voted against the plan. Voting Breakdown: For: Nationalists (210) Total: 210 Against: Socialists (279) Communists (36) Democrats (2) Nationalists (71) Total: 388 Abstain: Libertarians and Republicans (2) Total: 2 This vote has been extremely embarrassing for the new Prime Minister, and has prompted some calls from inside the Nationalist Party to force the Prime Minister from office by vote of no confidence. The government of Vaule has decided that since the tensions appear to be rising in our region, we have closed our territorial waters to all military vessels from any non-RUSSIAN pact nation. Once again we see an area that had enjoyed peace, plunged into the depths of war. We again see an external power involved in a war in a nearby region and we voice our extreme concern about this. We are also concerned that rather than condemning the actions of Tahoe, the UFE has instead supported their invasion of Dragonisia. We find this shocking as UFE had frequently raised the issue of ensuring stability in the Asian region, and is now contributing to regional instability. As we have seen the influence of the UFE expand we have become increasingly concerned about how this influence would be used. We had made some progress towards an agreement for stability, but we fear that is now all for naught as we do not see how it would be possible for the UFE to be an effective partner in stabilizing the Asian region. As it is now clear that the UFE and its allies believe that unilateral action against a sovereign nation without justifiable cause is perfectly legitimate, we are now concerned, not only for the Asian region, but for the world at large. We immediately seal our southern borders and suspend any current co-operation with UFE. Unfortunately we will be forced to recall these events any time such future co-operation is proposed.
