  1. Oh behalf of the GPA.... Congrats, Everyone!
  2. I remember when we took that picture! It was right after the Leadership Exodus. You know how I know? Well..... See our four legged member in the lower right? He got that black circle around his eye went he was caught peeking through the hole in the fence at our OG neighbors! Thanks for the well wishes everyone!
  3. Thank you very much, Reyne. That means a lot to me. (Considering you were one of my first Tech buyers!)
  4. Well, Valentines Day. The day for expressing love, romance and for some, spending a ton of money on candy, flowers and dinner, all the while hoping to get "lucky"! Good Luck! And this is no different in the GPA, but we send Green roses and not Red roses! Valentines Day is also important to the GPA for another reason..... It is our anniversary! We are three years old today. While I do not know how many green cookies have been consumed over the last three years or how many flowers have been picked or how much other "green stuff" has been, um, imbibed, I do know this. It has been a roller coaster. Over the last three years the GPA has been a fixture on Planet Bob. In the early days, it was a hand full of players that tried to start a "different" kind of alliance. With leaders like Phil, Machi and Mary, the GPA started to be shaped and formed. In a short period of time, the values and principles started to be formulated and those values and principles are still the core of the GPA. The GPA started to grow. Many members started to dissect and apply the understanding of the economic aspect of the game. In less then a year, the GPA, with Shay leading the charge, launched one of the first comprehensive Academy to train new members. Many tools and calculators were developed to help players learn and grow their nations. But as I said, for anyone that knows the history of the GPA, it has been a roller coaster. Two years ago this day, we had the Leadership Exodus that was driven by a member or two that were hell bent on changing the core values of the GPA. And the GPA survived. A year ago this day, the shortcomings of a few GPA "leaders", in addition to a few other issues, helped to get the GPA into the Woodstock Massacre. This was undoubtedly the low point in our history. But in keeping with the spirit of the alliance, we fought proudly, negotiated terms honorably and met those terms completely, timely and without any disrespect. And the GPA survived. And as a roller coaster goes, we are coming off of the down glide and are rising again. We have streamlined our laws and processes. We have tightened up our acceptance practices. We have opened up our forums to trades and tech dealing. We have increased our foreign relations network. We have tightened up our Membership Compliance efforts. And the GPA survives. Now the next question is, "What will the GPA be saying on their fourth anniversary?". Well as can be seen in our long history, no one knows for sure. But this I can say for certain, our members are committed to our values and principles. Our leaders are committed to upholding all that we believe in. And together, we are all committed to being a part of the CN community. Today we are having an anniversary celebration on our forum and on our IRC channel. On the behalf of all of our members, I invite you to come visit us and take part in the celebration. We look forward to seeing you and look forward to many more years on Planet Bob! Our IRC channel is #GPA on Coldfront and our forum is http://forums.cn-gpa.com Come one, come all!
  5. Heft, I first met you about a year ago, albeit under different conditions. But since then, I have found out that we have similar issues and interests. I found your announcement very heart-felt and close to my heart. I personally offer you my best and the same goes for that from the GPA. Good luck enjoying what IRON has given you and what CN has also. Be well.
  6. Many say you have baby blues. Others say deep brown. I say blood shot. What is true?
  7. Once again, I have to thank everyone for their support. The GPA has gone through our ups and downs over the years. But for some reason, we seem to come out of the twists and turns okay. We respect our former members, cherish our current members, value our community and hold no animus towards our victorious battle partners. I hope that y’all take a minute to stop by and say “Hi”. And I hope that everyone puts the War behind you as we have done.
  8. No problem. What about your other first termer? SpiderJerusalem, Lord of Foreign Affairs. Don't think that i have met him/her. And don't think that s/he has visited our embassy. Are you not letting him/her have some of our cookies? And I am really impressed at the number of officials that y'all have. Don't let the GPA see all of them or else we are going to have to crank up the voting machine. I don't think that we even have enough members to fill that number of positions.
  9. Since this is a "meet and greet", and I have brought cookies and beerz, I would like to meet the new members of RoK government. Looking at the list of Government that you posted in your Embassy, I recognize many as long term officials. Hats off to y'all. But there are some new comers..... Catronos, Prime Minister (1st term).... ah, I think I know your from somewhere. Do you come here often? Do you have sisters? SpiderJerusalem, Lord of Foreign Affairs (1st term, 1st as LoFA)...... ah, a RoK first termer that rose up the ranks. Congrats! And a fairly new member of RoK. A new up and upcoming leader? Olaf Eisenberg, Lord of War (1st as LoW)........ Very pleased to meet you! Good luck in your new position. Good luck! Beerz and chip chocolate!
  10. Thanks Tails and Mongrel! It would be great to hear from the rest of your government. And, Yes! Yum cookies!!!
  11. Could you tell us a little about RoK leadership. Their background and beliefs and what they think about the game and PB politics and cookies too? Thanks!
  12. Let me step in here for a second.... First, the GPA has moved past all of this, and this release closes the case as far as we, and the Alliances that were involved in the War, are concerned. As to the time it took for the release..... The GPA’s “progress” has been monitored by some tC leaders over the last several months and over the last few months, GPA leaders and tC leaders have had diplomatic discussions about the final restriction. All appropriate leaders, including GPA, met and had a final discussion and as a result, this announcement was made. The GPA sees this as the Alliances that were involved in the War, recognizing our progress and affirming our commitment to our core values. As I said in an earlier post, the GPA was patient and respects the value of diplomatic discussions. And I appreciate all the good wishes that the GPA has received in this thread.
  13. Good luck and godspeed. Best to you in your endeavor!
  14. Naw, no rebirth. We have always been living and breathing. Now we have just reached an agreement with the other Alliances that were party to the Peace Terms. It is fun to be on PB and to interact with all of his Alliances!
  15. I respect your opinions! As to rolling over, we, as an Alliance fought the good battle and then worked out a diplomatic solution. And as a result, we have an Alliance that is having fun, enjoying each other and all other Alliances. So if we “rolled over”, then so be it.
  16. I completely respect your ability to disagree. Until you haved walked in our shoes or have been part of our beloved community, your disagreement is half hearted, at best. Respected, however.
  17. Sure it is "possible", but I am enjoying the Super Bowl. If you can not register on our forum, send me a PM in the game and I will send you the whole list!
  18. CD did not "take longer" with the vote. We abided by our values and if it resulted in higher payments, then we held our heads high since we never lost our values in the name of "getting off" easier. Just as we never have lost our values during the completion of the Peace Terms and the following discussions that led up to this announcement and in what the future holds for the GPA. Even in defeat, we have held our heads high, are holding to our core values and most importantly are looking to continuing to do so in the future.
  19. Thanks for the well wishes! The GPA, as an Alliance, voted to accept or reject the Peace Terms. Our community decided on the survival of our Alliance collectively. Just as our Alliance has collectively worked hard to not only return to our core values, but to insure that we never waver from them again.
  20. First question: Yes we have in defense. Second question: That question was promptly answered: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?s...t&p=1236367
  21. I can assure you that the GPA did not forget. We are patient and value diplomatic discussions.
  22. Those are the alliances that were involved in the original Peace Terms.
  23. On behalf of the GPA, I want to express my gratitude to the leaders of NPO, IRON, TPF, FOK, TOP, NATO and Valhalla for working with us and recognizing that the GPA has righted the ship and has returned to our core values and principles. I can assure you that we will remain steadfast to these principles. Please visit our forum or #GPA on Coldfront to say "Hello".
