Jim Rohn is a business genius who in the mid 1900's went from being a dirt poor Idaho Potato Farmer to being a millionaire by time he was 31 years old by teaching people how to run successful business. I would think he knows a great deal about leadership. And his accomplishments allowed him arrogance, however he chose humility. Instead of forgetting where he came from he made it a point in life to teach others the secrets of his success.

My author is cooler than yours, and not to mention the quote is more applicable to the forum situation.
In most cases I would have to disagree with Nietzsche, that is only true in some cases. Merit in itself is not always offensive. More oft than not it is the attitude of the person who earns that merit that is offensive. They become blown up and full of themselves. Not saying this is the case here. My whole point here is while it is ok to be proud of your accomplishments it is never a good idea to step on toes to prove what everybody already knows. There is an old adage that says be careful who's toes you step on today as they might be attached to the butt you have to kiss tomorrow.

As to the title of the OP, yes, there is progress. Progress has been made by the Order and her allies in removing one of the most horribly inefficient alliances in the history of Cyber Nations, as shown by their actions in the past 6 months or so.
If this war has shown us anything, it is that the GPA can and will fade to the realm of irrelevancy that FAN, GOONS, NADC, and other alliances who have opposed the Order now reside in.
I say good riddance.

Did I really just read this? I like the orders, have a lot of respect for them. but be careful there.

To those who see this as a verbal attack on the orders I apologize for your ignorance and hope you can forgive me for stepping on your fragile ego's. But this is simply truth, If you wish to retain the glory you now have choose your words with diligence. Don't let pride be the downfall of such a great alliance.

The Phantom Warrior Corps and The Aquatic Brotherhood are pleased to make this PhanTABulous announcement on this most glorious of nights. As the world is at unrest the leaders of these two alliances are sharing aqua love. This MDoAP establishes TAB as brothers to the Corps. A Family.

We understand that there will be times when we need each other to be able to stand and we will stand strong, United. In this game of survival the many must become one so without further adieu, I present you with the Brothers to the Corps Accords.
Brothers to the Corps AccordsA MDoAP between the Phantom Warrior Corps and The Aquatic Brotherhood
Article I: PWC and TAB are Family
WHEREAS: The founders of the Phantom Warrior Corps (PWC) were once faithful members of The Aquatic Brotherhood (TAB), serving with distinction and upholding the principles upon which TAB was founded, AND
WHEREAS: Both PWC and TAB are committed to the continued prosperity and unity of Team Aqua,
THEREFORE: Be it known that this Pact of Mutual Defense and Optional Aggression is a pubic symbol of the deep bonds of brotherhood that exist between the signatories below.
Article II: Defense
TAB and PWC are family. Don't mess with the family unless you want to bleed. Any unwarranted attack against a signatory of this Pact will be considered an act of war against both alliances and sufficient cause for both alliances to declare an immediate state of defensive war against the attacker.
Article III: Intelligence
If either alliance has information that may a/effect the other militarily, politically, economically or otherwise, the information will be shared as soon as possible.
Article IV: Aggression
TAB and PWC prefer to exist peacefully with the other alliances and nations on Planet Bob. Yet there are times when it becomes necessary to rip someone's head off and feast upon their spleen. Therefore, if either signatory deems it necessary to barbecue another party's innards over their own burning ruins, the other signatory may be invited, but is not obligated to join in. (Spleens will be specially cooked by Commander John, chef extraordinaire.)
Article V: Aid
At any time TAB and PWC may choose to aid one another financially, technologically, militarily and/or with all manner of shakes and iced creams. TAB and PWC also agree that if either alliance is in need of aid, the other should offer to send aid but is not required to do so.
Article VI: Cancellation
If the time should come when the signatories need to nullify or cancel this treaty, the party needing a time out will: notify the other party three days in advance and provide a good reason. Both alliances will then go stand in the corner until they can learn to play nice.

Im looking for a new alliance after my last alliance didnt go as planned because the other leaders didnt like me cuz they took the game to seriously and i wanna have some fun.If you want me to join ur alliance post here and just say a few reasons because im up for all options from big to small.

I will tell you that I have resigned myself to let Hobbies0310 leave with Dignity and Honor. I will not deviate from that. It is not that we did not like you, you just were not a fit in our alliance. We have different ideals and goals. Good luck in your next alliance, try not to be overzealous, allow people to work in their strengths. Don't be control happy. Take time and let people do their jobs.
About Phantom Warrior Corps, I will say this, Why would you not want to be in an alliance where the leaders take the game seriously. That is the best way to grow your own nations, hook up with a group of dedicated players who are willing to work hard and invest in your nation. If you cannot function in a highly organized environment with structure and goals then no, maybe, The Corps is not the alliance for you. We are hard working leaders who strive to see our members succeed. If you take time to know us you will find we are not all work but in the early stages of an alliance alot of hard work has to be done and the fun gets placed to the side for a moment. I am sorry you could not place your desire for fun aside for a while and be a functioning part of our government. I wish you nothing but the best in Real Life and in Cybernations.

In no way am I speaking for my alliance when I say that anyone on aqua right now who wants an alliance should really consider joining these guys. PWC sounds pretty cheesy but if you join them you'll see very early-on that CJ & Tie mean business. Commander John embodies the best qualities of a CN leader.

Preamble:
We, the Phantom Warriors are a group of warriors that have simply always been, standing in the shadows, lurking in the darkness, watching and waiting. We shall remain until the end of time, we shall be strong in the face of adversity; we shall be fearless in the face of danger, we shall be vigilant and stand guard over our brothers and those who are fortunate enough to have earned a place at our table. Like the knights of old, Chivalry shall be our creed and Justice our banner. At such times when it seems we are we weak, the memory of those warriors who have gone before us will be there to make us strong; we shall be a beacon of light when all seems dark.
Article I:
Section A. – Alliance Affiliation and Sphere
The Phantom Warrior Corps shall be situated on the Aqua Sphere and shall be known as The Phantom Warrior Corps, PWC, Phantom Warriors, or The Phantom Corps. Nation-states should Display the full moniker of The Phantom Warrior Corps as their alliance affiliation, but may at times deemed necessary by the emperor display any of the above.
Section B. Membership-
All warriors who wish to wear the armor of the phantom must swear allegiance to the Phantom Corps; they must conduct themselves by the charter, Live by the Phantom Code and adhere to the Core Values of the Phantom Creed.
Those wishing to join must;
a)Not be currently be involved in a war/s
b]Not be in another Alliance
c) Not be listed as a target by any alliance
d) Be more than 90 days old or 7000 NS
e) On the Aqua Sphere (or willing to change)
All warriors will be required to assist the corps by serving in a Government Position or assisting in aid or tech sales. Any nation refusing to assist the corps will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including removal from the corps.
Article II –The Government
Section A:
1) Government seats-
The government will consist of five officials. These officials will be in charge of certain sections of the government. The government will consist of; 3 Non-Elected Appointed Officers.
a) The Royal Court
The Royal Court shall consist of
1)Emperor, by the Grace of God, Keeper of the Corps, Defender of the Faith, The royal throne is the highest ranking seat on the court and is a permanent seat.
2) – The Royal Presidium shall consist of two (2) advisors to the emperor and shall be appointed or removed by the same. Lord/Lady of the Court shall preside over the House of Lords and the Lord/Lady of the House shall preside over the House of Commons.
b)The House of Lords
1] Royal guard- The Commander of the Royal Guard will be expected to organize and maintain all issues faced by the Corps regarding internal and external security, he/she will be responsible for coordinating attacks and rallying members to defend the corps. The Commander of the Royal Guard shall be appointed by the Emperor.
2) Royal Acquisitioner & Assessor- shall be appointed by the Emperor and responsible for the growth and finance of the alliance, the Royal Acquisitioner & Assessor shall provide assessments of all nations and have the power to deny or accept any and all applications, handle all the monetary affairs including distribution of aid, organizing and maintaining trades to benefit members of the alliance. The RAA shall be Nominated by the Presidium and Elected by a simple majority vote of the House of Commons.
c) The House of Commons
1)The House of Commons shall consist of 5 Dukes. These will represent the alliance to the Government.
Article II Section B:
Government ruling-
a) The House of Lords will consist of 5 seats all of which are stated above, the House of Lords will at all times be ruling for the good and benefit of all alliance members,
b] The House of Commons will consist of 5 dukes which will represent the members of the alliance and will be selected by members based on the following criteria ;
*Aid supplied to other members
*time spent as a member of The Phantom Warrior Corps
*number of posts
Aid and posts will be added then divided by days as member.
c) Members wishing to gain a chair in the House of Commons must have at least 5 recommendations from any members, failing to gain at least 5 nominations will render said member void, therefore out of running for that chair, members can run for a maximum of 1 house seat.
d) Proposing a bill of any kind, will be split into two sections, House of Commons and House of Lords, every member regardless of prestige can propose a bill in the House of Commons, if the bill gets passed by the general good judgment of at least 4 Dukes, it will then be passed up to the House of Lords and voted on, there it will be deemed passed or failed. Voting will last for 3 days regardless of what bill has been purposed, then another 3 days In the House of Lords if it gets passed. If a bill is failed, it may not be presented again for at 30 days.
e) Passing a bill, a proposed bill in the House of Lords must win by at least 3 of 5 votes, if not it will be proposed again in the House of Commons with recommendations for rewriting.
Article III: Resignation and Removal of Members
Section A: - Discharge and Seperation
1) Discharge from the corps-
This is the Royal Magistrates jurisdiction; the Royal Judicature with the Magistrate as its head will consist of 4 Lords and 5 Dukes making up the jury body, The Lord of the Court shall be the Prosecutor and the Lord of the House shall act in defense of members who do not provide their own barrister, The Emperor will decide which proof is admissible in court, take statements, take into consideration the jury’s decision via a poll, and in turn list the charge, the Emperor's judgement is final. It may result from anything from a fine to dismissal from the corps. If it is decided that nation-state has been found guilty of a crime fitting the punishment of excommunication that nation will be given a dishonorable discharge from the corps and have 24 hours from notification to change their affiliation.
2) Resignation from the corps
In the event that a Member-State wishes to resign from the corps they must submit a request in writing. If the member-state has received aid in the 30 days previous to the resignation the member-state must return the money plus interest in the amount of 2 times the aid given.
Section B- Resignation and Relinquishment of Duties
1) In the event that a member of the House of Lords resigns during term, the position will be appointed by the Emperor until the next election. Lord of the Court and Lord of the House will act as temporary minders of the according section.
2) In the event that a Duke of the House of Commons resigns during term, the position will be selected by receiving nominations from the Dukes of the House of Commons and approved by the House of Lords-
Article IV- War Powers-
Section A.- Unauthorized wars
1)Declarations of War shall not be taken lightly, the corps does not condone and will not tolerate unauthorized and unsanctioned attacks on aligned nations.
2)Tech Raiding is highly discouraged. The Corps shall not provide aid to nations involved in tech-raiding for a period of 30 days following the raid , the emperor may at his discretion waive this rule in rare and necessary cases.
Section B- Authorized Wars
1) The Emperor may issue a Declaration of War after a vote by the House of Lords.
2) All nation-states are required to assist the corps in a war.
Section C- Attacks by Rogues or Tech-raiders
1) In the event that one of our members has been attacked by a rogue or a tech raider the corps will attempt all diplomatic means available to them to solve the situation peacefully.
2) In the event that a situation can not end peacefully the corps will assign strike teams to avenge our fallen warrior.
Section D- State of Emergency
1) In the event of a state of emergency being declared by the House of Lords, the Emperor, with the wise counsel of the presidium, shall rule by decree.
2) A State of Emergency shall expire no more than 14 days from the original declaration.
3) All alliance wars will be considered a State of Emergency and shall not require a separate declaration.
Section E- Nuclear Policy
1: The Corps reserves the right of its member-states to create, develop and use nuclear weaponry (in compliance with the Charter
2: The Corps deplores the aggressive use of nuclear weapons and will not condone their use in such a fashion by any of its member-states.
Subsection 1: Should a member-state find itself under attack by a nuclear aggressor, they may respond in kind to the nuclear attack made by the aggressor without notice from the War Minister.
Subsection 2: Any member-states fighting in support of a member-state who has suffered at the hands of a nuclear aggressor, must receive authorization from the Royal Court or War Minister to launch nuclear weapons against the nuclear aggressor.
Section 3: Any member-state who violates Corps nuclear policy will be considered a nuclear aggressor and removed immediately from membership. No trial will be necessary - expulsion is automatic.

So if NPO attacked your member while he was speaking his mind, would you have attacked back? Because with all due respect, NOT attacking, or as you called it "turning" on your members when they make an unpopular post is no accomplishment.
The Aquatic Brotherhood is a peaceful alliance and prefers to handle crises diplomatically. Although we wish to always be peaceful and settle disputes by diplomatic measures, there have always been and always will be events in the nature of humanistic relations that it becomes necessary to engage our adversaries through the use of military force.
Note that we would take every measure to ensure that diplomacy works before going to that extreme. I do not believe NPO would ever attack TAB because of our friendship and mutual respect, the NPO I know is diplomatic and fair, I know them to be understanding and an amazing group of people with leadership that excels at this game. That is what it boils down to. Loyalty, Honor, Respect, A sense of Duty, Integrity, and Personal Courage is is what The Aquatic Brotherhood brings to the table, If you can't fathom an alliance that lives by those values or have never seen it done then you obviously do not know us. We have a code of core values that is hopefully instilled in all of our members so that when we grow as big as some of the larger alliances we will be able to say we excel at the game because we play it well and have earned the respect of those around us. We have many treaty partners in The Continuum and I believe that the government leaders of those alliances are not arrogant but upstanding individuals who would not go to such extremes over mere words. It comes down to a matter of being respectful of one another so that when harsh words are spoken we are able to pick up the pieces and mend broken relationships. I believe TAB has found such friends in this game and it would never come down to military action.
What you are trying to do here is keep an argument alive that has run its course. By getting The Aquatic Brotherhood to say that they would attack the NPO, you wish to inflame a situation that started as what I believe was the OP's desire to spark a general discussion and not an attack on any alliance. I tell you it would never come to military action. When I approached our friends in the NPO over this they were understanding and generally unconcerned over the words that were spoken. It is not the NPO that is keeping this alive. Some posters have used this thread to try to anger members of the NPO to bring about a reason for attack or to promote their own agenda and propaganda, But at the end of the day it comes down to the fact that TAB is friends with the Orders and both parties are respectful of each other. TAB is not concerned that this has damaged our relationship with our friends one bit. If you are trying to fan flames, you can stop wasting your time because the coals aren't even hot.

I'm sorry but I'm not buying that. That guy wouldn't have said that "nearly everyone in TAB thinks I've ruined diplomatic relations with the orders" if someone didn't say something. I think you're entirely missing the point of "free speech". If you wish to showcase it as a characteristic of your alliance, your members should be prepared to defend to the death any members right to say ANYTHING.
In your desperatation to survive, you've eliminated the entire point to surviving.
KotW said that "nearly everyone in TAB thinks I have ruined diplomatic relations with the orders" because of remarks that were made by members of the alliance, I never said our members did not say anything about this, It is their inherent right to voice their opinions as much as it is his. That is freedom of speech. TAB Government has only released 3 statements on this matter, none of which were said directly to KotW. The first in this thread saying that the opinions of the OP are not the opinions of TAB. The second on our forums asking our members to keep their responses to the matter civil and asked them not to post any inflammatory remarks to KotW. And the third which you are not buying.
I believe that our members while they disagreed with KotW and vocalized their disappointment and shock that he would speak out against our allies and friends would rush to his defense if that had happened to be needed. One cannot say how individual nations within an alliance will react to views that are not the same as the ones they believe in. They were obviously shocked and dismayed as I believe you would have been as well if you knew our alliance. You obviously have not had any dealings with TAB, we are respectful of the rights of others. We believe in democracy, TAB has always believed in the freedom of speech and the rights of its individual members to act on their own insofar as it causes no harm to the alliance or allies protected under lawful treaties. We encourage our members to speak their opinions and exercise their individual rights as long as they do not infringe on the individual rights of others. TAB does not turn on its own for speaking their mind. While many of our members may disagree with some of his views we still support KotW and as I have said before wish him well in whatever he does.

Not entirely, but in many cases yes. The OP of this topic is most likely being pelted by leaders of TAB who are having a heart attack because one of their members said something negative about NPO. I'm sure right now, if he is or was on IRC, he would be accussed of "trolling" the NPO by his own Leaders and I'm sure they've already told him or are going to tell him that if he gets attacked because of his post, they're not going to help him.
Little do they know that it is that exact point that makes them inferior to the Orders. The Orders would NEVER let one of their own get attacked without total retribution. If an NPO member attacked ANY alliance's member...any single one... The alliances leaders will happily let their member get whatever punishment NPO feels like dealing out, in the hopes that one day, They won't have to be told what to do by Foreign alliances.
But its the very fact that they pale and cowar to the might and arrogance of the Orders, that they can never dream to reach them.
It's my hope that the Orders and the Continuum one day decide to take out all the coward alliance's whose leaders who are either so desperate for power, or dishonorable or both that they allow their members to be pillaged. Only then can the weakness, and the lack of honor, that plagues this game be exterminated from it, and this game's politics can finally start getting fun.
So yes, in many ways, defiance or at least Indifference towards the Orders, especially now-a-days, is a showing of honor in the highest degree. It shows that you have the same resolve and determination as the Orders, and that you have the potential- at least in theory- to reach their level if you have some political power behind you.
But again, its for that reason that alliances that demonstrate resistance are taken out. In doing this, The Orders allow the weakest alliances- The alliances with no resolve, and no backbone- Or as Doitzel calls them "Spineless !@#$%*" to flourish. And as long as this is true, there will be no opposition to the Orders.
Yes...opposition to the orders is a massive demonstration of Honor...or what is left of it, in the cyberverse.
The Aquatic Brotherhood is a democracy as such our members are afforded freedom of speech, as long as their exercising of that right does not infringe on the rights of others, as long as it doesn't violate treaties, and as long as prudence is taken in the voicing of their opinions. We understand that the heart of democracy is acknowledging someone who is standing and shouting to the top of his voice that which we would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of our voice. As such, King of the Water (the OP) has not been contacted by any member of the TAB government regarding this post. We made our statement that we did not regard his opinion as the views of TAB and left it at that. We do not pelt our members for their personal views. King of the Water has chosen of his own accord to leave our fair brotherhood and we wish him well in his future endeavors.
