Best so far. In any case, the name should have Sup in it somewhere.
Sup, Legion? War
Nah, IE (Incompetence Extravaganza) War is what's sticking. -
That's not proof. That's you trying to create something that isn't there.
You have nothing to back up your claims which makes your word !@#$.
You've lost this point because it was a lie. Take a hike.
*Edit: Every lie you tell makes you weaker. Stick to the facts, Chron.
I just used facts by referring to the general timeline, Kzopp.
Sorry if implication reflects poorly on you all. But then again, its not like facts are too kind to you lot, either. -
I didn't tell you to run your gobstopper, I told you to prove it. Do so now, or just go ahead and tell the world that you just talk what ever !@#$ that falls into that skull of yours.
All I need to do is refer to the timeline?
I may not have specifics, buuuuut...
-Hereno posts screenshots in public, embarrassing the Legion
-VE Downgrades, Tetris reshuffles government
-Legion attacks
Ergo, The Legion literally waited until after the Viridian Entente downgraded their treaty with Tetris (i.e. waited until the risk was lessened) before declaring war. Literally. What's there to prove? -
I didn't lock it, I don't have that much control over the wiki, as for one-sided, I only put it what was given in the original DoW, I was going to add more when more came out, I think I can still edit it so I will add more in now if you wish.
I wouldn't make it purposfully one sided when there are a number of alliances I like on one side, lol, must just be my incompetence in writting.
See what I mean?
Incompetence Extravaganza encapsulates this entire conflict.
Use IE War if you think it's necessary to have war in there, but seriously, change the name to that. -
Prove it. If you can, I'll cede that point. But you can't because it's a lie. And every lie you tell makes you weaker. No matter how many times you repeat it, it won't make it a truth.
Well, if it makes us weaker, why stop us from using it? From the looks of things, you guys need every advantage you can get at this point. -
I already came up with that name as the creator of the wiki article
It's generic and terrible, though. No reason to publicly take credit for it. -
More leaked info! This thread gets better and better.
Wow. Quoted for posterity.
That's genius, no matter what anyone else says, man. Pure genius. -
15:05 <mattthegreat>: I am going to refer to your war as the Incompetence Extravaganza
We have our name, ladies and Gentlemen. -
Mmm, well written but not entirely accurate. Once Tetris posted those screenshots no backpeddling in the world would have saved them. The action was inexcusable and as far as diplomacy was concerned, I can't fathom anything that they could have brought to the table that would rectify such blatant disrespect. It didn't matter what sort of backing Tetris had, sooner or later you just have to stand up for yourself and roll tanks. Consequences be damned.
Of course it didn't matter what backing they had.
That's why you waited to see how many people you could get to drop said backing before finally standing up for yourselves against an alliance less than 1/5 your size. -
I like the "The Legion got ballz war", at least people will know which war it's about.
Thats not true, either. They waited until VE dropped Tetris' treaty to an ODP before making a move.
Standing up for themselves isnt quite ballsy. Its just competent. A large step forward for them, to be sure, but nothing really noteworthy. -
When it was just us, Tetris, NSO, and NsO, I wanted to call it "Purples Eagles Fly To The Dark Side Of The Block" War: An Anime.
Now I'm not sure.
if its going to be that long, it should either be a proper sentence, or make a memorable acronym, you know?
The Glacier War.
It's very slow moving and all involved will be extinct soon anyway.
I dunno. NSsO are still going pretty strong as it is. I doubt this war will break us. -
The Dumbass CB War?
Then no one will know which war this was. -
In the aftermath, we'll all be remember this as "That War That Chron got the Job hes Been !@#$%*ing About for Weeks." Or better yet, the "Chron-Legion War", the "Legion Constant War", "The Ankle Biters War".
Hrm. Damn, Im running out of steam. -
What predicament? You guys are just providing us with a target-rich environment.
I think the predicament is the fact that your nations can't seem to collectively find their "declare war" button, or find the button to launch a ground attack. -
Sigrun's post is pretty much spot on. If I were perhaps a better PR man I might have found some sort of "boo hoo" card to pull, but frankly things are falling out as expected.
Should have taken my offer to hire me before all this even started. I'd have honored our contract, had you taken my entreaty as seriously as I had meant it.
Now, I certainly appreciate the efforts of the OP and also think that a better response from Tetris's allies would have been to help them find peace in what is the response of a pretty clear cut case of unacceptable behavior. That said, you can't expect everyone to see the justice from an attack when they think the attacker is a paper tiger. And, some alliances just don't care either way. And some are just plain opportunistic to begin with.
Those that do see the justice in our cause, we appreciate your moral support and encourage you to continue speaking your mind.
Now if only their minds could come up with something rational, that didn't deliberately obfuscate highly important context of the situation.
If we feel the need to call in allies, they will come.
I doubt it.
As for the Legion being a "terrible" alliance. Get over it. I've been in small alliances, medium ones, and elite one, as well as worked with or been a diplomat in well over 30 others. The Legion has had it's moments of face-palming and a few where they shone, but terrible? Get out. Those that keep repeating that mantra are out of date, either easily led by other's PR, or just simply trying to put other's down. Since this is our first good showing in a long time, I expect others to cling to this idea for some time still, but I hope others will update their opinions once this war is over.
No, you really are terrible. The only reason the micros came in was, pretty much, because they wanted in that badly. We were handling you pretty damn well up until that point regardless. It's just such a shame you'll blame your massive drop in NS and bill locks after this round on "the dogpile", rather than giving credit where credit is due. Oh well, self-reflection has never been Legion's forte.
We're relishing this chance to smack the crap out of a few antagonistic enemies and look forward to the trimming of the fat of our ranks that a good solid war creates.
Ave Legio.
Yeah, the problem with trimming the fat in this case, is that if Legion manages to slim all the way down, there won't hardly be anything left. A shame, that. -
Of course I do. The opinion stands. The numbers aren't in their favor and although their allies will have a good time of it, they could be bogged down in nations.
No, you see, if you did, you'd realize that those observations are both inaccurate, and irrelevant. -
Adds a little something, doesn't it? Not to worry, they'll still be chanting 'LoLegion' even after we win this sucker.
What's sad is you truly believe it.
Some people just got too impatient and wanted their piece of you before there wasnt anything left for them to grab. Nothing to get too excited about. -
I can't believe your protector let you guys make an MDoAP. That's classic headache avoidance and I include a provision explicitly prohibiting protectorates from making mandatory treaties in treaties that I write explicitly to avoid such headaches. An ODP can do the same thing but it eliminates the possibility of situations like this where the protectorate has a treaty that forces the hand of the protector.
I have to think Tetris and New Sakura Order are going to get the worst deal of their side. Legion is no TOP but they still have a lot of nations and can weigh NsO and Tetris down just by virtue of their size. It's like when MHA blitzed Zenith. They weren't particularly competent but there were at least 4 MHAers for each Zenithian so they just wore us down because there were so many of them. Tetris and NsO are in danger of merely being tools to be used to give their bigger allies a crack at Legion and friends and could find themselves being squeezed by a larger opponent in their individual conflicts.
Oh dear.
You have literally no idea what's going on with this war, do you?
Theyre gonna be fine. -
Welcome, everyone.
Youre not needed, but we're not so arrogant as to be possessive of this bloodbath. -
Let the dominoes fall, boys and girls.
-
Congrats to the two of these fine alliances.
A little redundant given the existence of the Moldavi Doctrine, but still pretty fine. -
I think Legions propaganda tactic is to just pump out as much as possible in an attempt to confuse their opponents
Well Im pretty confused.
Whats the next step in this strategy? -

So I like this, but I do want to point out that the Empire loses, and the Death Star is destroyed....

Yes.
We've decided to correct that particular flub this time around.
Sorry. -

Aren't worth it or can't?
I'd love to see you try.

Arent worth it.
What would I troll you for? The fact you want me to troll you? Seems kinda redundant.
Anyway, mogar, good luck getting peace, man.

Oh, you want to drag it out do you?
Waiting implies that we had some foreknowledge of the cancellation and attacked after it happened. That is not the case. The gears of war began turning the moment Tetris made those posts. What ever was going on between their own stupidity and VE's reaction to it was not even on our radar. Tetris's treaties were irrelevant to the scenario as there was only one course of action. As far as we knew, VE would be a likely counter.
"There is no avoiding war, only postponing it to the benefit of your enemy."
Now get the $%&@ out of here with that spin. Get smarter or find something else to make up.
So now what you're arguing is not declaring war was in order to give potential counters more time to be prepared to hit you back?
Well...that's certainly an...original strategy, I must admit.
