  1. Here is what I find interesting.

The NPO SOP is to have 'buddies' drown out any relevant points by a "HeilStorm". Most often in IRC, this goes all the way back to January with WUT 1.0.

So, for every page you read, there is one relevant post with distinct information, and if they cannot have it edited or deleted, they simply push it back 2 pages.

I'm sure that will happen with this post, so if you happen to skim it, make sure to skim all the pages of all NPO/et al threads.

    Why is FAN at war?

Simple: We were unarmed. In 6 days (or so, I wasn't counting), we would have started arming up, but doing NOTHING. We got used to not fighting. Even built up a LOT of tolerance when an NPO nation would attack a FAN "Term Violator" until we booted him, and at the same time wouldn't defend an undefended FAN Nation under attack by a rogue without at least a 72hr lag, if at all.

This reminds me of the end of GW II / III. Legion was allegedly "Under Protection". Seems FAN did 90% or more of the work to defend Legion Nations, nobody else in WUT would, they all wanted to rebuild.

I also remember the INTENSE tracking of LUE, waiting to find a Treaty violation from NPO. When they found a couple, they attacked those nations. After a month of FLAGRANT violations (nuclear purchases, external aid, and more), NPO decided LUE should go away. FAN was part of WUT at the time, and new in the game, but some members didn't think it was quite right to destroy again what was just destroyed.

Whatever. NPO says there is war, then there is war.

I only wish that they would have let us re-arm before declaring to fix the grudge, must be a lot of fun putting FAN nations with minimum military in anarchy and bragging about the tech because they were abiding by the peace terms. You'll probably notice that those who were Actually "in violation" have now jumped to another alliance or unaffiliated, if I was an evil mind kind, I'd think they were buddies of NPO to change to yellow and put "Federation of Armed Nations" in their bio long enough for screencaps.

See, that way, the rest of CN would believe there was a solid cause.

Percentage of troops doesn't matter, even up to 50%, with no tanks, no CM's, no nukes, FAN WAS abiding by the terms, in spirit, and to the letter. We don't even know which Soldier count to calculate off of, the one you see, or the one in parenthesis. Yes, we went THAT far to make sure our members were in compliance. Those entirely out of compliance (improvements or whatever, I think that is it) should face ZI, as that is a handful of nations.

tl;dr: NPO and friends knew FAN had large stores of tech and cash (sledding) for when FAN's peace agreement expired, and they decided they wanted free money and tech. "Continuum" is pronounced \m/, Ibid.
