  1. I am a member of the MCXA. I no longer want to be, after what I have seen and read recently.

Everything that happens around the NPO is utter !@#$%^&*. When they're not dominating CyberNations, they're undermining others' ability to play it. When they're not destroying alliances mercilessly, they're cowering behind rules and allies. And who suffers more from this than us, the individual nations utterly beyond control of our own destinies.

It sounds like you were aware of the mechanics for an amount of time.

In the past 4 months, there was plenty of time to get away from the alliance you were in, and join one that fits your ideas better.

Outside that, my advice would be to lay low, and find an alliance that fits you. Posting this thread most likely didn't make MCXA proud of you.

  2. FAN had a list of people who declared on them yesterday. The NPO was not the only one on there. Other wars need resolution before they are back. From their posts, their time away also changed them a bit.

Sitting in a fallout bunker for nearly two years changes you for sure.

Then again, I'm just hoping to explain the voices in my head.

  3. So much excitement over another dirty FAN hippy showing up??? )): You would think it is a bunch of schoolgirls getting all wet for the Jonas Brothers.

Atleast this one is in war mode so our glorious Pacifican newbies can have fun perma-ZI'ing him. If the rest of the dirty FAN hippies would come out and play then I might be impressed.

    Hail our glorious Emperor Moo.

The original post was an apology for lack of Gun Porn, and a promise to correct that issue. I'm at a loss as to how your post is relevant to the topic.

  4. Very funny read. FAN had MPOL creamated and mixed his ashes with the blow stash and FAN used it while in the company of many hookers. This thread is the result.

    Nice read.

Actually, outside forces performed the cremation, we are just doing the best we can with what we could recover. Even if the product isn't 100% pure mpol ashes, it has had a good effect. brass.gif

  5. But you DO recognize them. That is, they wear you AA, the source of you "voice of the people" power. You can decree all you want that they don't speak for you, but unless you show some active measure in removing them, it's all corn flakes.

And no, IP bans do not matter in an Anarchistic society.

I hate to post again in the Vox Thread here, but the quote above is something that I need schooling on. An alliance tag should be something that is 'approved' by whoever the head of the alliance is, and also capable of removing that tag. Kind of like the logo-masks on the old CN forums for which alliance you were in one of the top 12.

Deciding who is in which alliance by reading their forum claim, or even their Nation claim in CN is not close to reliable or accurate.

The other note I continually see here is "Did you ZI him?" When I started playing, ZI was reserved for only the lowest of the low players who would nuke every alliance in a big goodbye, and everybody from all alliances helped to ZI that person, no matter their other allegiances. Now this practice seems to be the lightest punishment for infractions as grave as a typo on this forum.

On the "Perma-ZI" topic: How do some groups presumably have all IPs of players that quit, so they can ZI them if they try to start fresh as 'better rulers'? The average alliance doesn't get nation IP information AFIAK, so that allows those who have that information an exploit of the "game" through OOC information (IP Addresses). Those same people critisize people in peace mode for not taking action and perma-ZI-ing a "Known Re-Roll", when they aren't aware it is a re-roll. Then if the alliance does attack somebody ghosting, the world jumps them for being out of peace mode. Is there a forum I am missing that has this information for all to see? I mention this because IP Addresses have been brought up a couple times.

Finally, I am not claiming to know anything about The Government of Vox, which I do not, however, I have enough education to help most people having problem with the term 'anarchy'.

On the "confusion" of how Vox can be an "Anarchy" and get everything done. I believe this is due to the majority of people using the riots in the streets of their nations after being nuked as a definition of 'anarchy', The First one. However, there are a few others.

    From Oxford English Dictionary:

Anarchy (from Greek: αναρχία anarchía, "without ruler") may refer to any of the following:

    * "Absence of government; a state of lawlessness due to the absence or inefficiency of the supreme power; political disorder."[1]

    * "A theoretical social state in which there is no governing person or body of persons, but each individual has absolute liberty (without the implication of disorder)."[2]

    * "Absence or non-recognition of authority and order in any given sphere."[3]

It should be noted that "ruler," if used in the context of the third bullet point, has no explicit connection to the term "rules." In an anarchy, as defined by the last bullet point, it is possible to have rules (laws); however, these must be agreed upon by the participants in the system, and not imposed from above by a ruler (leader, authority). Some languages, such as Norwegian[4] have two separate words for the two meanings (regel/regler meaning rules, regulations, customs, laws; and hersker meaning "the one who rules/lords", from the verb å herske).

A state, free from coercive authority of any kind, is the goal of proponents of the political philosophy of anarchism (anarchists).

In a "True Anarchy", all members are held accountable for their actions, and punished by peer pressure, nobody is 'in charge' per se, although generally a few members WILL be more respected

I'm only posting in this thread because, it does touch on several topics that I've had questions about for quite a while. People who seem to have the answers to these questions seem to be posting. Ergo, I thought I might be enlightened by asking a couple questions. Please continue.

  6. Anarchists fighting for peoples rights is nonsensical. Anarchism is about self rule, not protecting others. What you are about is destroying rule (the status-quo). I believe that does, in fact, make you terrorists.

Besides, claiming an anarchy alliance pretty much excludes you from being able to have a singular "goal". And collecting everyone with a chip on their shoulder against the NPO/GGA/Valhalla pretty much undermines your arguments.

What you are, are a group of disgruntled individuals with your own goals, and a private army behind them to pursue those goals. Pretending anything else is dishonest.

I guess the next logical question would be:

"What conditions on Planet Bob would allow, let alone sprout, an alliance of members, voluntarily destined to ZI for a single, self-admitted purpose, and then find their ranks growing wildly?"

  7. It will be another year before we see a large alliance or bloc curb-stomped. So it's a long way.

True. I'm guessing a near future of small, non 1v alliance spats, insignificant in the big picture. Then after things get "slow", and there aren't any large alliances left that aren't a member of 1v, one of the 1v alliances will be growing too fast for the mental security of other 1v alliances, then some off the wall CB will boot and stomp them. Repeat, add a new alliance to take their place, repeat.

Basically, the same thing that happened after GW3, but with certainty. I'd say that any alliance over 150-200 members, who has a high strength and continually increases in power, will be shown to be a spy or something. This is stated since most all CBs lately have been that, or even more obscure for a 'reason' even though the 'real reason' was known to everybody. It'd be nice if they just came out and said "we are attacking xxx because we want 100% domination", rather than try to come up with something they hope some people will believe.

I'm in agreement with all those who mentioned specific alliances in the past several pages, exactly which, no clue. But it will happen, and it will eventually turn into 1v throwing one of their own under their bus. There are too many viewpoints in a group that size to get along perpetually. We saw that in WUT with only 7/9 alliances. Over half of the 'original' were decided as expendable. Then claims posted by those who are always believed, the alliance were stomped and replaced. However, that's a dead horse topic. I only mention it from experience to validate my guess, since I am seeing the exact same pattern all over again almost 2 years later.

Then around Christmas there will be the next "bloc war", maybe as soon as Thanksgiving. As to who would be on who's side vs who else in 4 months, it's difficult to even speculate.

  8. A sliver of proof that FAN can rock without mpol.

    Nice work. I laughed.

We still have an mpol in spirit. A small group of courageous volunteer members braved the yellow desert to dig through the ruins of his old nation's location. They recovered many of his notes, along with some REALLY good Homebrew Tequila. The latter ingredient may be the exact inceptive for the wording of the announcements.

  9. My disgust at the New Pacific Order has risen to new all time highs, when will this madness end?

You posted before I put up my reply. I hate double posting.

However, I know the answer to "when will this madness end?"

The madness will end as soon as people do what is right for those who trust them, rather than worry about how many pixels your nation has and whether or not it'll get hurt, and who to take advantage of for more pixels.

When people stop equating nation strength/nukes/war mode, 10,000 co-attackers with "Power", the madness will end.

When people are allowed to state their truthful, non antagonistic, yet valid opinion, without getting warned on this forum, the madness will end.

Players seem to think it is about ranking, money, and power. That's why things are the way they are.

Until players see integrity and sticking with your countrymen through thick and thin as the True Test of an alliance, Things will stay the way they are.

This thread needs to be moved back on course for the discussion of CIS getting peace. I believe it's been hijacked enough the past couple pages.

    Carry on.

    /o WAR!

  10.

The time has come to end all conflict between members of OneVision and former members of the Confederacy of Imperial States. These are the terms all former members of CIS must accept to be given peace. These terms do not apply to those nations who remained in peace mode during the conflict; when they come out of peace mode, they will be subject to attacks twice as long as those nations who fought. These terms may or may not be offered to peace mode nations. These terms also do not apply to nations who used nuclear weapons.

Former members of CIS will do the following:

    1. Former members of CIS are not to form another alliance nor join any alliance for 90 days; they will change their AA to "1V POW."

    2. Former members of CIS will decommission all troops to 25%, all tanks, aircraft, naval vessels, nukes and CMs.

    3. All military improvements (satellites, missile defenses and guerilla camps) will be destroyed.

    4. Former members of CIS will be under the protection of OneVision for the duration of these terms.

    5. No reparations will be required of former members of CIS.

Terms to apply within 72 hours of this posting.

    Deja Vu.

CIS, Congrats on the gift of (peace?).

Watch out for Day #86 or 88, that was a nasty one for FAN about a year ago. I believe the synopsis is in Joseph Thorne's sigline.

I wish everybody in this thread happiness in the future, not just the Benevolent NPO, but the Nice CIS alliance, but I also wish fast and easy peace on the current opponents in this most tragic war which has shaken Planet Bob. Perhaps Everybody could realize how silly it is and simply walk away? I digress, that's for another thread. Please continue on.

Mods/et al: this statement is not from a FAN official, nor is it an official FAN statement. comment is intended to be a congrats, and a bit of personal 'deja vu' observation while reading terms.

Note to Self: It is sad that I felt that disclaimer was needed.
