  1. I was planning on posting this on New Years Day, but life got in the way.

I am going to be doing my best to updating the alliance statistics on each of the alliance's Wiki pages, once a month. My goal is to have it done on the 1st of every month. I will do my best to keep to that.

I created a page for the current alliances in CN. Right now, I have the top 40 alliances, I will add more to it. There are a lot of pages on the Wiki and this is an easier way to navigate and find an alliance page faster.

  2. I think that this is a fantastic idea. I could definitely use the help in updating the wiki. I have several ideas that I want to implement into the Wiki but doing it by myself will take me longer than I would like it too. Bobogoobo has been helping me when I mess something up by accident or can't figure out how to do something. Though, he doesn't actively edit the Wiki. He will fix formatting issues and stuff like that, but that's about it.

  3. On this day, 108 years ago, December 24th, 1914, men on both sides sat in the trenches all across the Western Front.
It was freezing cold. They were told that the war would be over by Christmas and yet there they were, sitting in a trench, essentially waiting to die.

Then the unthinkable happened. The British soldiers and the German soldiers met in No Man's Land and called an unofficial Christmas truce. They spent tonight, and all of tomorrow, conversing with each other. They played soccer (I refuse to call it Football) with each other.  They traded food. They traded coffee and cigarettes with each other. They spent time together. They felt their humanity returning, even if it was just for a day. They collected and buried their dead comrades. They held funeral services.

As Sabaton so eloquently states in their song "Christmas Truce":

And today we're all brothers, tonight we're all friends.
A moment of peace in a war that never ends.
Today we're all brothers, we drink and unite.
Now Christmas has arrived and the snow turns the ground white.

    Hear carols from the trenches.
    We sing O Holy Night.
Our guns laid to rest among snowflakes.
    A Christmas in the trenches.
A Christmas on the front far from home.

They proclaim "We were soldiers! Carried the war on our shoulders, for our nations!" And then ask, "Is that why we bury our friends?"

Later in the song, they sing:

    We were all
    We were all
    We were all
    We were all friends
    (Yes, we were friends)

    And today we're all brothers
    Tonight we're all friends
A moment of peace in a war that never ends
    Today we're all brothers
    We drink and unite
Now Christmas has arrived and the snow turns the ground white

    A Christmas on the frontline
    We walk among our friends
    We don't think about tomorrow
    The battle will commence
    When we celebrated Christmas
    We thought about our friends
Those who never made it home
    When the battle had commenced

As we spend time with our families this Christmas, let us remember those brave men. They knew what they were doing. They knew what the punishments would be if they did it. They didn't care. How many have died fighting pointless wars, who will never see their families again?

Merry Christmas, everyone! Have a Happy New Year!

Being elitist about who's allowed to edit is not the way to go about it. If you can spread awareness and interest to get more people helping keep things up to date, that would be good. Happy to help (my talk page on the wiki, or Bobogoobo#9673 on Discord) if anyone needs assistance with editing, but the best way to learn is to jump in. There are plenty of resources for how to edit on Fandom and MediaWiki in general. If mistakes are made, we can fix it and educate for next time. As long as you're editing in good faith, all contributions are welcome.

Well said, thank you. This ^^^^ 100%

"I'm to old for this crap"- war, or "Update doesn't work for me, I've got a wife, kids, and a job"- war should have been options. Or even the "I forgot how to war"-war.

All of these are solid contenders and should be seriously considered.

Thanks hivemind member number 8, it is one of many :) So what special trick did they give you, the ability to lick your own taint?

So many gaskets being blown here it's beautiful, no one won the war so now we fight over the name instead.

That is how it usually goes.

As o' today, th' great nation o' SpickleLand will be changin' its official currency from th' Rupee t' th' Shillin'. 'Tis due t' more accurately represent our economic reserves bein' made up primarily o' commandeered coinage from th' British Isles.

We hope this does nah 'ave substantial economic impact on yer nations. If it does, no matt'r, we be prepared t' defend our action wit' nuclear force.

    Thank ye.

Good to know. I hope it reinvigorates your economy.

Unfortunately, Herogasm was arguably the most disappointing television episode of the year compared to the hype.

The whole reason we went with it was because we started the war the day that the episode came out and thought it would be hilarious if we named it after it.

Also, agreed with whoever said that The Great Awakening is apt but sounds too much like a weird conspiracy theory.

    Canik came up with it.

I do think The SDI War is a funny option, but it's kind of specific to a bug that I think only lasted a few weeks.

Hob Dobson thought of this. I think it is an apt name for it. I can't tell you how many of nukes got shot down because of that damn wonder.
