  1. Calling the UJW as GWIV is just a way for newer players to feel as if they were involved in a really important war.

    Please stop talking.

The Great Wars are not a "series", but are common terms used by the main CN forums.

    Now for some actual facts:

The Unjust Path was significantly larger than either side that fought in the Third Great War.

42.8 million NS (UJP) - 34.6 million NS (The Initiative) - 32.3 million NS (Aegis)

~ was significantly larger than all the alliances that fought in the Third Great War combined.

95.4 millions NS (~) - 66.9 million NS (the whole GWIII)

The largest war in CN history which caused an enormous culture shift is a "really important war", no matter what it is called. The preference on the forums to refer to these as Great Wars is a valid argument. To say that it is equivalent to calling the GPA war "Polar War X" is by far the stupidest axiom I've seen you suggest.

  2. true it was rough but i am pretty sure that war was never threatened by either side. but Pacifica and Polaris are still family to this day.

I would cry if we ever went to war with Polar. That is just something that is not meant to happen.

I could conceivably understand how the casus belli for such an action would be formed, at least in the public view, but at that point we would no longer be Pacifica and Polaris, instead we would be usurpers, claiming the name of ideas that we no longer believe and destroying ourselves in the process. So in essence, it is impossible for Pacifica and Polaris to be at war with each other.

  3. I would say that overall there are good reasons for being harsher on alliances than in the past, especially so that they do feel defeat, however, in some regards I feel it's gone too far and agree with a lot of what you've stated. I see no problem in asking for large cash and tech reparations considering how much alliances and nations have grown since then, or destroying nukes for a period of time as these do make changes to ensure the peace is kept. I enjoy the propaganda game against my opponents, who are definitely and always wrong. But there is a point where one should ask if their actions are a detriment to the game and lacking empathy in any form.

Personally, I'd like to blame the precedents set by GOONS, who were a major contributor to the Initiative, but also tended to adopt a policy of humiliating people for their enjoyment, something not uncommon in their culture of origin, and Gen[m]ay, who weren't all that dissimilar. Their power has likely influenced many, many alliances. Of course, many more alliances are to blame because they take the same type of actions. To say that it was GOONS alone is foolish and blaming them for much more than they deserve.

Interestingly enough though, alliances with a weaker link to GOONS during the Unjust War have tended to be less likely to engage in those types of actions, and have tended to offer surrender terms sooner, offer alliance-wide surrender terms sooner, and not hold quite as deep grudges to the point where they have made friendships with alliances they previously opposed. Perhaps this means the Unjust War was a "paradigm shift" in Cyberverse politics, and I've always maintained that it was a Great War not only because it was the largest conflict in CN history, but because of the effects it has caused even eight months later. Just because the lulz are gone doesn't mean the underlying views of the two sides have changed or that the two sides do not exist.

Are things going to erupt into conflict? I don't know. It's difficult, considering people are more interested in being on the winning side, which has led to an age of relative peace, not in itself a bad thing. However, if you or anybody else wants to change the world, there is a way, some way, if you work hard to find it and are not unwilling to take the necessary risks that you will encounter in doing so.

  4. what the hell is up with npo trolls. show a lil respect

Oh I get it. We're supposed to all say "sad to see an alliance that's been around for so long disband" because IAA was like our FAVOURITE ALLIANCE EVER!!!! :awesome:

    Or not.

I was personally more or less ambivalent about IAA but I see no need to start cheering them on and talking about how great they were when they really screwed themselves over, especially in light of the fact that Atlantis got even worse treatment when they weren't even at war.

  5. I didn't know West of Eden declared on anyone in the NPO. Thanks for setting me straight.

West of Eden is not sanctioned on the Red Team. And he took up the IAA alliance affiliation and declared war on the NPO first. Now he's claiming our alliance affiliation illegally.

But thanks for checking your facts first.

  6. Since when does speaking ones mind mean they should be sanctioned?

Only when speaking ones mind is part of an actual threat to Pacifican sovereignity, usually through associated hostile actions. Contrary to popular belief among conspiracy theorists, the NPO doesn't just sanction or even declare war on people lightly.

  7. If it is not made clear, I promise you 2 months down the road NPO and their bandwaggoners will be claiming that GS sent financial aid to FAN. I have seen it happen too many times where the NPO said something that was "partially" true and then some time off after any evidence of such has been lost, changed it to be completely false.

Good. Provide actual evidence, and someone might actually believe you. You know, evidence... it must exist somewhere, right?

  8. You carried this too far Moo, you and nobody else - should not have asked an alliance to lie in order to get peace.

    o/ Chimaera

    o/ Junkalunka

    o/ IAA

What are you talking about? Is this another wacky episode of "Star's Crazy Conspiracy Theories and Furniture Store"? And just when it seemed like you were out of material, too. :awesome:
