Good to see this finally announced. Good luck!

Hairy is a requirement, not a "usually", just so that everyone knows!
I stand corrected!

Recently a member of our founding triumvirate, Gibsonator21, decided to step down. We thank him for his contributions and look forward to him serving in an advisory capacity. In the event that one of our triumvir steps down, we hold an internal election and in an extremely close contest, the winner was Rampage3.
Please join us in
feeling sorry for... er ... congratulating him.Thank you,
The triumvirate of The Bear Cavalry
Rampage3, The Cowardly Lion
Shurukian, The Scarecrow
Van Hoo III, The Tin Man
P.S. I know exactly what this flag represents ... but when we were going through potential flags, Rampage3 did not. This makes it perfect for this announcement. :X

A DoW!
Some alliances still have a healthy respect for flair.

Smurth called us out in the OP as well,
Oh. I see. I don't read hashtags so I missed that.
I also never use them. You can assume that everything I say is trending.

Kashmir has no treaties. All things are optional, including attack, defense, or neutrality. It really is as simple as, would Kashmir defend us? In any odds? Will we defend them, regardless of the odds? We've considered it kind of a political experiment, and as in any experiment sometimes the results are not what you'd expect.
Things change over time, as anyone who's spent time here understands.
Oh I am well-versed in Kashmir's philosophy on treaties.
My point though is that you're also well aware that not everyone shares that philosophy, even alliances that you'd defend. That doesn't make them wrong or worthy of scorn necessarily, it just makes them an alliance that looks at things a different way.
39 minutes ago, SirWilliam said:Hate to split hairs but we defended NSO during the Disorder War despite being paperless. Point being, you may devalue paperlessness but clearly for some of us there's more to a relationship than just paper and words.
Kashmir has an understanding with NSO regarding this war that we're comfortable with so don't take that as a complaint but instead a simple statement of fact.
Right, but knowing Kashmir (who I happen to like), I doubt you did so with any expectations nor would you do things any differently now. My opinion of "paperless" isn't disparaging. Whether I agree with the philosophy or not, I respect your decision to do things that way.
Either way, I haven't seen anyone from Kashmir have anything bad to say about NSO's decision. My comment was directed solely at Xanth and not Kashmir or at our allies, PPO. We've spoken on IRC though and will agree to disagree.
I also happen to like Xanth and have no problem disagreeing (or even arguing) with folks I like.
-
Wait. Let me get this straight. You're criticizing (and trolling) our allies in NSO for declining to enter and get themselves rolled ... for a paperless (and not to mention optional) treaty?
-
Just wouldn't be CN without Grub declaring on my allies ...
Have fun, folks!
-
I was told you'd launch four wars. Show-offs!
Have fun out there, pirates. We'll be ready to get you back on your feet once the smoke clears.

Why didn't we call superfriends that?
Missed opportunity. Clearly.

It clearly should be called Voltron.
-
Ah, Valhalla. Enemy turned friend, turned ... neither.
I don't really have an opinion of this last incarnation, but I do dislike seeing old school AAs disappear. Personally a little baffled that they didn't post their own disbandment notice, especially with as much history that that alliance had.
-
I'm in the triumvirate and I thought this was a TBC thread.
Good luck, folks.
-
Grub is cuddly. You people must be talking about a different person.
-
Unexpected. Good luck.

Two of my favorites allies. Well, except for Hoooooooooooooo. He's kind of a jerk....
o/ Fark

Count on it, Mr. Dragon.

You $%&@ers
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
This treaty will be amazing. We will do great things and it will just be fantastic. Fantastic.
-
Good luck. :D
-
I'm sorry, Ziggy. :(
Best of luck to our former allies as they find new homes.

Karma. I felt like everything before it was just leading up to that moment. The world as a whole has been in decline ever since.
I also always get amused when folks on the other side say that they knew they were going to get rolled and that it was lop-sided. As someone who was in those high-gov backchannels, I can tell you that in the weeks and days leading up to it, we were certain that we were going to lose and lose badly. It wasn't until the hours leading up to it that we felt more confident ... AFTER a handful of parties finally decided which side they were going to fall on.
