Yeah, sorry about that. Back on track.
So what does TBC want out of MI6?
Are they looking for an apology from Chim?
I hated CN apologies long before it became cool to do so.

I'm lost in our own DoW thread.

So with my due diligence, I find the TBC fued with mi6 interesting, mainly because I'm surprised mi6 is still even around considering all of the cool ones joined TBC.
Guess MI6 had more "cool ones" than you thought.

Oh hey, he's attacking WANA with me.
Welp, this just got awkward.

Very sneaky, Franz.

Hey, man. I bought wonders this time. You read that, you crusty old crab? WONDERS.
On the topic of peacemode. Yes, it is absolutely sound strategy. You want as many people as you can to be able to fight on their own terms an not on your enemy's and to be able to pick and choose the targets that will maximize damage, even if you're on the receiving end of an overwhelming beating.
In my opinion though, alliance leaders (no matter how crappy their nation is) should lead the charge and stay out, at least for the first round. For me, if you're going to ask your members to shed pixels then you should be doing the same. I can't fathom sitting in peacemode while the nations who trust me and my decisions burn.
Having said that, Chim being in peacemode is between him and his members. If MI6 gov and membership are fine with it, then the opinion of the world at large (mine included) is inconsequential.

I sense that you are joking, however I feel it needs to be said for others: If your ally does not take your thoughts into consideration then maybe you should not be allied to them.
Well, of course I'm joking. That does it. More emotes from me from now on.

Yes, I've got a massive grudge against TBC. They stole my lunchbox
To be fair, it was an Iron Man lunchbox. I can hardly be blamed for taking it.

This guy. This guy knows me.

However the few times I did sign in it was evident to me that my alliance, MI6, has not changed much overall and still has the habit of pissing others off regardless if it was our intention or not. These DoWs do not surprise me at all given the antagonism protruding from my alliance since at least the time of TBC forming, even an inactive husk could see it. Maybe this alliance will finally change for the better. Regardless I will enjoy my wars and look forward to using up all of my nukes.
Ever since I first became active in MI6, I've liked you.

Oh no, you are not taking that title, MI6 scum**! We turned heel.
lol
* I don't actually refer to anyone in MI6 as "scum", not even Chim. This comment is humorous in nature. Please don't tell anyone. Appearances and whatnot.

"What does Merger think about this?" is not one of the questions I ask myself when doing my strategy planning.
"What does Hoo think about this?" most certainly does though, right? ... RIGHT!?!?! ...

By far the most interesting thread to come this year. Thank you (or not) for making me read the OWF again
Two active alliances with a grudge going at it will do that, I guess.

Yet I have just been told that you were brought in the mix initially, and others were only brought in *after* that. What's up with that?
Alliances were brought in between the first time it was on and the second, yeah. That's accurate.

I find it Interesting, since others have claimed that this has been in the works since April.
Three weeks ago. We first heard about it three weeks ago.
And then it was off.
And then about 4 days ago it was on again.
So no, no long term plan on our part. I think others were planning it sooner though, sure. We just weren't brought into the mix until mid-May.

Thats not an insult its a fact. You are not as big as NG or Polar.
I can't speak for every member, but I doubt you'll find a member of TBC who views that as an insult.

To be fair, we mostly lived up to that. Besides some spats with TBC which is only a more minor part of this coalition, we have not aggressed or picked fights with another member of this coalition.
I believe that TBC has vaild grievances against us, I do not feel similarly towards NG or Polar.
Who are you and what have you done with WANA?
-
1 minute ago, Vladimir Poutine said:
That would probably be because you were mostly made up of former MI6 members, and most of our members did not want to pursue a relationship, so we did not see it as prudent. I'm not sure what is so difficult to see about that.
The decision to not have a relationship with us was fine, the lies and insults were not. We did not start that.

I think that if both sides had tried to come to some sort of reconciliation, we, as former comrades, could have put to bed some of the issues that caused this war. This will come as a shock, but I completely agree with that.

Came to terms with that months ago; when three ex-TBCers and one current TBCer tell us about this particular post and give us some of the names on it (I see Levon was a recent acquisition of yours), it starts being really damn funny when you're attacking us for it.
Jumping Jesus on a pogostick, WE ARE NOT ATTACKING YOU FOR IT.
We're attacking you because allies asked us to and and we had no problem saying yes because you personally (for the most part) are a liar who tried (and failed) to make us look like the bad guy because you lost stats and were terrified that you might lose more. We attempted to have a positive (or at least neutral) relationship with you, but not only did you not want that but you decided it was a smart move to make things up, sensationalize and exaggerate, badmouth us, and act like an all around d-bag for no real reason.
MI6 isn't in the position it's in at random or because "the Man" is keeping you down, Chim. It's not because people lie about you or because they "fear" your potential. It's not because you're active and it makes folks jealous. It's not because people conspire against you. No one has to do anything at all, in fact, for you to remain in this position until the lights go off. They simply have to wait until you start shooting your mouth off and say (or do) something stupid. It's inevitable and requires zero plotting or scheming from other alliances.
There's a reason that back when this world was more populated and full of actual intrigue that you were a blip on the radar at best. It's because you're just horrific at this on an epic level and don't seem to realize that.

I don't really see any need to rebut abject nonsense, frankly. Bomber routinely rejected direct orders from the M's - the alliance had made it quite clear, an opinion that, yes, I shared, that a relationship and alliance with TBC was not something anyone in MI6 (yourself included) wanted, 'natural' ally or not. They burned too many bridges, and it's pretty clear they've been planning to do this for a very long time.
And the accusations of poaching, when your government keeps a posted list of MI6ers they intend to poach, is one of the funniest god damn things I've ever had the pleasure of reading on this forum.
Oh sure, let's just disregard your former MoFA who was in MI6 for years before deciding to go to TBC. He's not someone with insight at all. lol
So tell me Chim, how did WE burn bridges? Remember, I have no problem calling you out when you lie. It's become a hobby, actually. And, we didn't plan this at all, so I'm not sure how you can surmise that we have been "planning to do this for a very long time". Thanks to your nonsense, you're an easy target so literally if ANY alliance in the game wanted to attack you they simply would. No real need to wait this long.
Oh, we poach. Absolutely. In fact, it's in our IRC channel topic. One of us even has a list of people they want in TBC up for display and not hidden in the slightest. We have no problem admitting things that are actually, you know, true. I'll also refer you to the many posts that explain that we don't have an issue with poaching, just your badgering of our members to the point of annoyance about it. Again though, that's not why we're here really. Not that facts have ever mattered to you.

Thank you. Walk in the park. I'm an excellent sycophant, being a member of DBDC, just review old Tywin essays for reference. (sparing posting a link for everyone's sanity) . This is a walk in the park. Another bit of advice if you don't mind, do you think I should also hail NG DoW on MI6 for the intelligent and witty manner in which it was made? Or would that appear to be over the top?
I'm a little rusty (and old), but I think it is proper to hail them all.
