  2. alliance spam? why do you make it so hard?

    As for the recruiting alliance asking you to change our team colour, there is a very simple reason for that. In the game, you trade with other nations, each nation has two native resources, youc an have as many as 5 trading partners, and hence 12 resources in total. The various combinations and permutations of these resources result in a few bonus resources for your nation on top of the 12 you got by trade. So it is beneficial to trade.

     

    Now if the person you are trading with, is on the same colour as you, then both of you get a boost to your nation's happiness. Happiness increase results in increased tax income for you nation. Hence, with 6 nations each trading with each other on the same color then you have 6 nations with happiness boost. That is 6 alliance nations that are making more money and growing faster.

     

    So you see, it is for your own good as well as for the good of other alliance members.

    lets see what i remember.

     

    highest tax rate, complete trade circle [beer, fast food- my preference], proper gov and religion.

     

    then the improvements, some are geared to happiness, there are wonders as well. Dont run out of land.

     

    I believe that about covers it.

     

    Of course if the rest of the world is being a jerk and lobbing nukes about willy-nilly there is not much you can do about it, unless you have that bonus resource which provides a boost to your environment.

    Exactly so. I think I was on -66.681 at the time though.

    Have you asked admin about this? It is passing strange to have a nation with negative infrastructure.

    As regards the nuclear impacts posted here; impressive indeed.

    So for a change we have an embarrassment of riches? Usually we are all down because the people are not active enough, or not enough people. Now that we have people active.... we discover that we cant deal with activity. It is somewhat surprising though, from what i am told, there were more people and more active forum users around for the earlier larger wars. So while our forum load might go up for this war's duration, it is not as high as the Karma or the NpO-VE war. Maybe we are just using bigger words now. :p

    Be glad you (and that other dude you responded to) were oppressed. You have one more topic of conversation than those of us that have not been oppressed. We seem to have discovered this world at a point in time when it had run out of people with a desire to wear the jackboots.

    Of course people like us have one more reason to stand back and grin. As we watch the old folks go over their scarred psyches due to all the oppression, repression, jackbooting etc. they underwent.

    You too can be freinds with RoK. All it takes is letting us be and mailing us beer every once in a while. We in turn will mail you portions from our latest batch of moonshine. And portions of the cremation ashes of our latest old fogie to buy the farm.

    Also if i had middle men, i would totally request the ASC flag to be uploaded.
