1. I think blockades should be set up as a tool of harsh diplomacy. Like the blockade around Cuba in the 60's, a blockade shouldnt' need a war in order to be set up.
2. Can you blockade other nations in this game? How does the blockade effect that nation? What is required to set up the blockade? Can you set up a blockade without necessarily starting a war, like the trade federation did in star wars?
3. It appears that there are two sides to this game, one that focuses on your nation itself and its development over time into a super power. The other side is the much more complicated one of the alliance politics driven world, which seems to me to be impossible to understand. Just look at that treaty web
4. Ok, thanks moufassa. A mod can lock this now
5.
And we will put you into the best trade circle for your resources. You don't even have to change colors because we're a blue team alliance.
This sounds good to me. I am rerolling my nation on the 24th in hopes of better resources. What should I do in the mean time? Also, about the alliances that care. I think he's right, I mean when I first joined I got a lot of recruitment letters, and I responded to some of them asking what membership would entail and what should I do until I reroll. NONE of them even replied back! How rude!
6. And here I thought I was set for life with good resources. Im going to reroll again, I dont like being limited to just one mediocre trade circle.
7. So what type of trade circle would be right for me? I want to set one up soon.
8. I can go longer than 3 weeks. What's a typical contract that an alliance offers?
9. Isnt affluent population the worst BR though?
10. Hello, I am a new nation on the blue team looking for a good, strong alliance that can pay me at least 9 mil in startup aid for my nation, protect it as it grows, and put me in a good trade circle. I'm not sure what the average contract is for an alliance member, but I will stay for at least 3 weeks before I decide what to do next. However, I can stay longer if that is what the contract calls for. Thanks.
11.
Wonderful ideas. However the truth is this: tech raiders check the AA's. If its under five people, you pretty much will get killed anyway. Unless you stay in peace mode all day like a hippie (which will destroy your nation anyway), you're doomed. Just join a big alliance like MHA or NPO and sit back and do nothing.
Yes, but then you are a member of their AA, and can get destroyed in an alliance war anyway. Are there any huge alliances that stay out of wars?
12. My new resources are fish and gold. I know that pretty much everybody wants fish, but what about gold? Will the two go together in the same trade set?
13. What does justin bieber have to do with north korea?
14. I just hope that when I reroll tomorrow, both of my resources will fit into a decent set. Are the chances of getting one resource equal to that of another? Do I have just as much a chance of getting uranium as I do lead?
15. Here's another question, what if you were to select a huge alliance from the drop down menu without "officially" joining them? Raiders wouldn't attack you and you wouldn't have to be involved with the alliance right?
16. I have read the cybernations history of the first couple of years, and I enjoyed the intrigue and simplicity of essentially the same sides getting into different conflicts. But I look at todays' alliance politics and I am utterly confused. How can there be global wars if every alliance is connected to each other in some sort of way?
17. Right now I've got coal and spices. I've been looking and I don't see any trade circles that combine these two, much less one on my team. Should I just delete and recreate in hopes of better resources? Is the chance of getting a good resource such as Wheat the same as getting a bad resource like Furs?
18. This was very well written and very relevant. Especially the bit about the road and the obsession with the end of the world. Is it because some people's lives have become so meaningless they have nothing to look forward to other than what happens after the apocalypse? Movies like the road are quite realistic and should frighten everyone about such a prospect as the post-apocalypse.
19. I know that all resources serve some purpose, and there's no definitive "best" resource. But what I'm wondering is if I should wait 5 days and create a new nation, hopefully getting better resources than spices and coal? Also, it seems that some resources are needed in just about every trade circle, while others are maybe only used in one or two types of trade circles.
20. That is indeed wise advice. I was hoping for more of a game that focused on actual nations and diplomacy between individual countries instead of massive empires. Still though, this game looks good so I think I will check the alliances that are available.
21. I have just started this game and have received a RIDICULOUS amounts of alliance messages in my inbox. I was hoping to form some sort of close relationship with a few other nations, such as trade and military protection, as well as technology and other things. Not to be a part of hundreds of other nameless countries! Why should I be part of an alliance where there's so many people I don't even know why I'm a part of it? I thought this was a nation simulator game, not entire empires which control hundreds of countries!
