I find his unusual aromatic blend of high grade motor oil and Bombay gin to be intoxicating and delightful.

Looks like some good people in this thing. Congrats.

I actually contemplated not posting one at all to be fair. No one would have ever noticed. But Soccerlife demanded a DOW.
And he's right, damn it. We're not animals.

It has been a long 157 days...especially for HT. I would especially like to thank Clash of Discord for not only fighting with honor, but making the decimation of my own pixels somewhat fun. Also, it is MUCH appreciated that when I had to deal with a health crisis of one of my kids, that all attacks ceased. Thank you.
That's just sporting right there. Good on'em, and hope your kid is all good.

I was also in college when I was the leader of my first nation here... 2006 seems so long ago.

Oh my. 2006 seems like yesterday. EVERYTHING seems like it was 2 years ago.

Happy Birthday, friends of Dre4mwe4er.

Welcome to dealing with Methrage, Nordreich. Your words of reason will be wasted.
I was sympathetic to him in his dealings with GOONs. Couldn't see why he irritated them so. Why not just leave him alone?
Then I had my own dealings with him, and I remember Ken Morningstar (or maybe Sardonic, I can't recall) PM'd me with a simple phrase: "Now you understand." And he was right.
And now YOU understand.
But allow me to tell you how this end: you will reduce him to a level to where you can no longer hit him. Not only is he no longer a threat, but it is impossible to hit him, and too much trouble and effort for you to bother anymore, so you will move on. He grovels in the private channel, but boasts endlessly of the OWF. And because you never got him to say the words "I surrender" -- because the mechanics of this world don't allow occupation occupation of a defeated nation -- he will fly the "Undefeated because I never surrendered" flag. Maybe even claim victory. He may actually even believe it.
I'm just telling you your rational explanations and reasoning are basically for the OWF audience, NOT Meth. If not, you are wasting your time here. Whether the it's the greatest IC performance ever -- or true delusion -- is really irrelevant. The show is the show, and it will go on.
-
You would win that bet.
-
Well. AGWO is one of those alliances I instinctively like (for no real reason -- zero dealings with them, no real OWF presence, they just rub me the right way). Hard to say Nordreich jumped the gun on this one, however -- diplomacy first, and decent homework to follow it up. In my heart of hearts I suspect that AGWO is suffering from inactivity and a member who doesn't recognize when he's being stupid, but that ain't Nordreich's fault. Seems like all the boxes got checked here. Hopefully AGWO gets active and fixes this.

I've been keeping my mouth shut for a while on this whole matter but I really can't anymore. Meth, the difference between you and sigrun is that he knew when
to shut upand go hide in a corner and let me deal with things. You had an easy out when this whole mess blew up.While I would alter the quote above, I will say that in my dealings with Caustic related to the Meth-o-Sphere (and one or two other issues), he was reasonable and not hard to deal with. Which is not to say we always agreed, but when met with reason, he responded with reason. You kind of needed this brake shoe between you and the world, Meth.

You have earned the respect of Rupert Holmes with this declaration.

Quite possibly the only admirable trait I found in SPATR and friends was their willingness to fight for their beliefs
SPATR has some good dudes in it. Always liked them. I think Stripes ways over some Untouchable/Xanth/Unknown Smurf drama, but it was personality driven and I've always liked those guys.

For the wiki's sake, I'm assuming this can be considered part and parcel of Gh0s7busting?

I am now! A real pain to go back and repopulate all my posts, but dammit: graphics MATTER. It's what separates us from the animals.
Well, that and OCD.

Congrats on taking it as far as it could go, fellas. Always liked you guys, even when things went a bit south between us during The Crimson Army scare (which as a far as honestly know was only a scare -- if it ever amounted to more that a figment of Sigrun's imagination, it certainly never materialized into anything).
Best of luck to Ace, Doornail and the rest in the Freehold.

Micros are an adorable and lovable aspect of Planet Bob. They have tremendous character development, more personal wars, and have a better track record of doing what they'd like to do, rather than reading from a script.
Agreed here. It's like a different game down here -- wars usually have a valid CB, there is a personal reason to fight, beyond "well, it's that time of year again".
Personally, my treaties throughout the years have been with alliances whose leaders were reasonable and could be trusted, and had zero to do with political jockying, which is what most macro treaties seem to be based on. That is to say, they wouldn't drag me into a war over something stupid or embarrassing -- if I had to fight, it wouldn't be for something I'd roll my eyes over. Before things went bad with Meth, he often tried to get a treaty between us. I declined because his foreign policy was erratic and he ended up in a number of wars over things I considered trivial. Lulu of PPO, however, was a pretty straight shooter, and I didn't hesitate to seek him out (after I fought him, of course). In fact, MOST of the alliances I treatied were subsequent to fighting them -- a good way to see an alliance's character. (The exception being our treaty AT R&R,because I felt evidence showed SRA did them dirty once and we owed them one).
Argent was always on my list, but I was spurned -- SPURNED, I tell you -- by @James Spanier.

Creative writing can only go so far. It's the stats that matter and seeing AMs early downward dive is hilarious, because once that snowball starts rolling it just keeps on compounding.
Well, some would counter that fire is needful to him who is come in and whose knees are frozen; food and rainment a man requires, who o’er the fell has travelled.
