No, we're expecting the Empire of Krieg to restrain it's constant talks of "response" and "military defense" against an invasion that so far as I can see, is not impending. What has happened, is that concerned states are placing troops at their borders. Thus far there has been no invasion, and the way we see it, will not happen unless you continue to threaten these sorts of responses.

" Yuthura Said. He gazed out itno the crowd and gleaned that they had been enthralled thus far by his opening remarks. "Our people since then, have become scattered, bitter, and cynical. Our desire for national unity is great, but we are left with no practical means to achieve it. Our government is weak, and needs to be strengthened. Our military must be rebuilt, and stand as a beacon of national pride and integrity across the globe. For this to happen, we need strong leadership from the office of the Presidency, and in the halls of this body." Yuthura said. Thunderous applause could be heard throughout the chamber, and many hundreds of delegates could be seen standing. Camera's were flashing back and forth. "We must all seek to work in a bi-partisan effort, to root out the obstacles against unity in our lands, and create a spirit of nationalism. The Ministry of Imperial Heritage is hereby established as the standard bearer for all Pro-Imperium projects aimed at reestablishing our national integrity and unity. I have also launched a comprehensive program under the Ministry of Military Affairs to completely revamp and refund the military of our people. All militias are to be absorbed into a new National Defence Force." Yuthura said. He then took another sip of water. "The NDF is responsible for the protection and promotion of Imperium interests across the globe. It will be a drafted army, consisting of all male citizens between the ages of 18 and 32. Each conscript is to serve a minimum of two years in active service. This is to promote both a sense of nationalism, and duty as well as to provide for a national force strong enough to defend the nation. " Yuthura Finished. Wrapping up, he continued. "In conclusion, We will work tirelessly for the creation of a stable, strong and secure homeland. We will seek new friends, and allies abroad and strengthen our fortunes at home. We will not rest until our task is complete. Peace, Prosperity, Strength!" He completed. The room erupted into applause as he stepped down from the podium, and began his route back to his escorts at the waiting motorcars.

Special Report The President has arrived at the Imperial Parliament to deliver his inaugural address. He is expected to unveil his comprehensive economic and domestic agenda for the coming term. Among his expected announcements is the creation of the National Defense Force, a joint organization consisting of land, air and sea elements tasked with the protection of Imperium interests at home and abroad.

He was not an experienced leader, and was therefore not able to cope with the discomforts of politics without mild sedatives; of which he lacked. He was en route to his inauguration, and the subsequent address to the Imperial Parliament. His party, the Rakata First Party (RFP), had won the recent elections within the parliament on a campaign of domestic and economic reform. Many within the realm saw this new government with hope. Much of the people were in disarray. Over a third of the population still resided in poverty within the borders of it's own country. Many more wandered the nation serving as "pirates", or smugglers. Not too many fulfilled actual trades and jobs within the Imperium. Much of the revenue generated came from the aforementioned smugglers via drug trades or human trafficking. Shaking his head as his shuttle neared the Orbital Station, Yuthura wondered to himself. What the hell am I thinking? I can't ever hope to unite a people who have no desire to be united... He said. He had promised his constituents that he would unite the people, and give them a real sense of purpose beyond their next day's rations. To give them a real desire to achieve, and not simply exist. Only time would tell is he was up to the challenge of forging a truly great empire in this world. The car shuddered briefly as it parked. Escorts secured the area around the vehicle, and then the doors opened. Rising slowly, and mindful of his sickness just moments ago, Yuthura made his way towards the entrance to parliament hall. The doors parted, and he briskly walked through the gateway, and made his way into the main chambers. As he entered he could see hundreds of Cameras and journalists moving to and fro, capturing the historic arrival of the new President. Forcing a smile, Yuthura made his way to the podium wherein he would deliver his first address...
