In fairness IYIyTh, they have just come out of a war which probably rocked their worlds, and had no actual recovery time due to a lack of coordination by their gov in rebuilding.

Yes, I think that was noted in the Casus Belli somewhere.

    [i]You know, I see a correlation here.

Thank you R&R for helping provide them with a term to get out of a loophole in their charter that they publicly expressed wanted to happen anyway to the world minutes after being declared on.

Protectorate was never going to happen.

I never at any point in our peace negotiations stated blame keve - I said it was Keve's fault and we would fix it.

    Which we will.

We were put into a corner and had no choice but to accept these terms. A nuclear war with no ceasefire during peace talks.

For 18 million which we the government would have paid and told you so immediately. So please don't hide the facts.

We if necessary will learn from NpO or MCXA not such as RnR after this recent display.

All you did was cripple an alliance. That may not have been the intent but it certainly has been the result.

Oh the horrors of being at war for all of two-three days?

Your alliance then threw its leader under the bus in record time.

    You're kidding right?

    This guy is good.

You seemed to have missed my point. Losing 5k NS doesn't actually matter because you've only destroyed 5k NS. That is why people say wars are won in the upper tier, because that is where all the damage is done. I'm well aware that he will defeat everyone in that range. But within 1 aid cycle they will have rebuilt.

You seemed to have missed my point, I don't really care what you think about it.

Wars are said to be won in the upper tier because that is where the most damage is dealt. While he may be able to play for 10 years, he will only be able to do 5k damage per cycle (probably less as damage becomes very small at that level).

Yes, but when these nations warchests are depleted they are ground down rather quickly.

Actually we had an incident with a nuke rogue recently.

He was able to systematically calculate which of our active lower tier nations to nuke and destroy, to the point of our aid chain needing to actually be more than normally affected by said actions.

With max wonders, spies, and all the benefits of secret trades, one can easily continually nuke nations to zi without taking a hit in the warchest, as well as continually interrupting tech deals among other things.

With the War Chest he will have, no individual will ever be able to touch him unless they take the same method he did, at which rate, he is flexible enough to buy/sell infra to move himself up and sell it off later.

I'd say it's a move that was more for fun on his part than some sort of grand "I GOT YOU CN, LOOK AT MY AWESOME STRATEGY," moment.

Needless to say, any nation who comes into contact with Count Rupert in the next year or so will regret every moment.

    The dude's a badass.

  5. Already have seen the most powerful nuke in the game, I think..

A big thank you to Umbrella and many other nations, especially OBR's in helping us co-ordinate his descent.

It has been epic and so will be the battle reports when all is said done.

  6. First prize takes home 150 tech, Second 100, and Third 50. Any winning nation who is currently embroiled in conflict may have their prize tabled at the nearest intergalactic bank until otherwise. Please submit your poetry in this thread, and be creative

:D . The judging will take place by the triumvirate of The Mostly Harmless Alliance one week from Friday June 19th.

Vogon poetry is the third worst in the Universe. The second worst is that of the Azgoths of Kria. During a recitation by their Poet Master Grunthos the Flatulent of his poem "Ode to a Small Lump of Green Putty I Found in My Armpit One Midsummer Morning" four of his audience members died of internal hemorrhaging, and the President of the Mid-Galactic Arts Nobbling Council survived by gnawing one of his own legs off. The very worst poetry in the universe was written by Paula Nancy Millstone Jennings of Sussex. Thankfully it was destroyed when the earth was.

Due to the success, and yet, apparrent failure of sharing Vogon poetry with the rest of the universe, the Mostly Harmless Alliance announces a contest to determine planet Bob's best Vogon Poetry writer.

So, planet Bob, we challenge you to quite frankly, do your worst.

Samples of Vogon Poetry from Towel Day 09' Celebration:

    AlfredvonTirpitz of Ragnarok:

    See, see the Battleaxe sky

Marvel at its big Pink depths.

    Tell me, Crushtania do you

Wonder why the Chiuhuahua ignores you?

    Why its foobly stare

    makes you feel Angry.

I can tell you, it is

Worried by your KickableButt facial growth

    That looks like,

    A Mutton.

    What's more, it knows

    Your Fark potting shed

    Smells of Zit.

Everything under the big Battleaxe sky

Asks why, why do you even bother?

    You only charm Stale Beers.

    Gunther of MHA:

    Fear not the Lokogtichy, Belternob,

The time is right for Scriffing,

If not Scriffing what say you, Rob?

Let's not fiddle faddle over hitching.

Making grobblegook can make you stink,

But eating turtuschek will make you sick,

Remain where you are and you will be fine,

Today is a day for cheese and wine.

Some say science cures all ills,

    I say drink more Nabelpie,

Or lay awake and take more pills,

For today was not the day to die

Former triumvirate of the MHA and current resident of OBR, Floyd:

    Itching for Love

Side by side we sit, I am lewdly lusting for love,

My desires grow like an itchy passion on my groin.

Gold Bond powder cannot cure, Vagicil cannot cure me.

    Melkson of MHA:

I sat on my chair bored stiff,

Then my cat came and gave me a sniff,

I looked at him funny, he looked back at me,

Then my face, lit up with glee,

I picked up my cat and stroked his fur,

He stretched his legs and began to pur,

I then opened by mouth and swallowed him whole,

My boredom is gone, and my cat is no more.

I've calculated your chance of survival reading the poetry in this contest, but I don't think you'll like it.

  8. The best comparison would be the Unjust War and Tech Raiding.

That war wasn't about tech raiding, this war isnt about EZI/PZI.

Its one group working to gain the political upper hand over another. That is all any war is. How it is wrapped up for public consumption will be different every war.

Now now bw, we can't have people acting all rational ;)

  9. Yep, we've all had to take a deep breath and admit that Myth was right all those times.

Heh. Don't worry. Many people over several alliances during different periods of time have all taken the same collective deep breathe at one point or another.

Also, FAN, you're giant, steaming, behemoth piles of $!@@. However, I kinda liked you before the VietFan thing. You made things interesting. I look forward to old fashioned fun with newfound relevance.

  10. I think Shamshir claimed he came up with it in another thread.

Shamshir would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament.

  11. Another group of unstable social tyrants. When will NATO learn that it should not elect competent, intelligent leaders that will do excellent jobs? That they should instead just elect the people that yell the loudest? Bad show again, NATO.
It takes a lot more to practice what you preach, moreso to do what is just, rather than to shortcut your way around to what is easier. Hopefully the intelligible of the elected can bend, for if they should break as in the past at the wrong time, i fear the consequence.

It's kind of hard to play your hand poorly when dealt a full house on the flop, anyone can do that.

-Stop acting like you know how to play.

  12. MOD:

Time for the lock - this is going nowhere.

    Whose fault is that.

I hereby have been banned for making a joke.

    That's been established.

I hereby have been zi'd for ...wait..zam changed his mind two times.

first it was for being ...what did he say? something along the lines of a d bag...simply for stating " zam you can't vote"

He later changed his mind in this thread...that i supposively got zi'd for making new accounts on our forums.

    Which i havn't.

the only account i've "made" was on the irc channel. my name wouldn't work so i re-registered it, as i said i'd talk to you later. Aparently that's hacking now adays, and warrants zi!

    Yeah.

Going nowhere because you won't admit it.

Have another blemish from your leaders, NATO.

  13. I served NATO as the SoD for more than a month, with several votes - apparently you were not paying close attention during that time - or perhaps there was a time-warp conspiracy by NATO leadership to keep you out-of-the-loop.

As for the edit - at least I have the ability to know when I have made a typo and pride enough in my work to correct it.

You're still pathetic for bein "grammar police" and then arresting yourself.

Actually it makes sense, as uninformed as we're kept.
