Information about the Confederacy of Independent States (CIS)
The Confederacy of Independent States (CIS) was formed on September 23, 2006 by two resigned powers of the Global Alliance and Treaty Organization and the Coalition of Dark States. The CIS is currently under the rule of its very first elected government and will hold its next elections in January of 2007. It holds some 250 members, which have gathered in just a little over two months, making its growth rate virtually unparalleled. Whilst Maintaining a progressive growth rate, the CIS also retains a sense of intimacy and strong community. We have found ourselves at the forfront of alliance politics with strong and revelutionary ideas.
Defense and Security
The CIS's size and political stance means that attack is unlikely. To ensure we are well protected we hold numerous Mutual defence pacts (with some noteable alliances). Intelligence and war plans are regularly reviewed War Council, intelligence staff and other military staff to ensure you are always well protected in the unlikely event that war is declared. War aid is given at the juristiction of the Minister of trade and finance to help rebuild your nation should you fall victim to a rogue attack.
Matters of money
The CIS is in the process of establishing a banking system which will serve numerous functions. The Chief of Internal Development, also the head of the CIS banks, will arrange growth grants of $2 million given to around 15 nations every 10 days. We also reserve 15 or so slots for intro aid. The CEX(Confederacy exchange), introduced by our current MoTF, Sharduke, gives nations the oppotunity to request loans from the generous CIS community. Tech deals are organised regularly in the CIS tech lab.
Military and Wars training and participation
Guides compiled by the dean of the CIS and the war council are dispersed to help allow nations best prepare themselves for the involvement in wars. Rogue action(wars started by CIS members against alligned or unalligned nations without a War Councillor or Battalion commanders direct permission) will receive no financial/military or diplomatic backing. Participartion in sanctioned wars is allowed and our military staff will be only to happy to help guide you through every step of your wartime. You will receive military support if your nation is attacked by fellow CIS members. War aid will be dispersed to your nation to help rebuild after any inflicted damage.
Diplomacy
Nations interested in the political and diplomatic aspect of the game will receive numerous opputunities for involvement at the CIS. The Ministry of foreign affairs actively seeks dedicated, well spoken members to become part of the CIS diplomatic corps.
Involvement Opportunites
Any nation can become an ambassador providing sufficient enthusiasim is shown. Any nation can put themselves forward as a candidite for a ministerial postition providing they have been at the CIS for thirty or more days and receive three or more recommendations from the CIS memberbody. Unelected officials, such as the dean, the recruitment council, battalion commanders and military adjutants also become avalible to members if sufficient activity and enthusiasm are shown.
