Citadel as a whole takes a stand and decrees PZI-EZI needs to be ended and its member alliances cancel all treaties tied to those that practice it.
I think you are projecting a wee bit. Citadel has spent a lot of time arguing over a lot of issues, but that one has never been a hot topic for us. I don't think any Citadel signatory supports EZI, but please remember that Citadel is a very non-interventionist group. We are a defensive bloc of dear friends. We are not the PETA of Cyber Nations.
Your posts make me think more and more that you have some sort of wild fantasy about Citadel.

I really do find it cute that this OP here seems to think he knows what's best for everyone else, or that perhaps if the non-Q Citadel alliances were "freed" from TOP and Old Guard's ball and chain we'd do something completely different.
Guess what? We don't want to be freed. Umbrella isn't some sort of beacon of goodness trapped in a cage. We are what we are, and we are happy with our political position, our alignment, and our allies. If we weren't, we would set ourselves free. You do know that we have that capability, right?

Are you sure? There was one that was there and went inactive. I swear it started with a B.The only alliance whose name began with a "B" who was considered for Citadel and had an embassy there was no longer an applicant by the time Umbrella joined Citadel. Certainly not summer of last year.

And no, I'm not referencing Vanguard. I would have just come out and said it.There wasn't another alliance in that period of time that had an embassy opened that I am aware of.

Actually, to be more clear, I was referencing the threads from which the screen shots came. I also didn't specifically target Dr. Dan. It's something called a general statement. Finally, yet again, I find myself without the "I have current access" card. The many ways simply saying "Well I'm looking right now" can inflate your credibility.
Oh, and if you were looking in the MK thread, you must have gotten a chuckle out of Reyne and Saber. Man, they had some gems in there. Unfortunately, I don't believe I got the chance to participate much. Who knows, though, I was so busy in the Polar War thread.

There may well have been a recent discussion on that, but you may wish to do some homework. There's also that durned alliance. They started an embassy. It was last summer/fall.
Regardless, I didn't expect giving you names would result in anything but more of the same. "Technically, they were denied because of BLAH BLAH" when in the thread it was probably explicitly stated even if they underwent the application process TOP or OG would not admit them. Of course, it's unanimous entrance...right?

This isn't a load of "technically." MK was NEVER considered for admission to Citadel in any serious manner. They never even had an embassy.
About that "durned alliance" that had an embassy last summer/fall. I suppose you mean the one you're currently in. If you'd like I can screenshot the post in the discussion thread in which you say you are against adding them...

the scenario has come true and is not only displayed in the screens here but also in many a 40 page thread on the Citadel boards. I do want to make this clear, however: I do enjoy the ridiculous statements coming from some of you over this. Has it occurred to you that perhaps if they have screens of Reyne they also have screens of you? Ones that, if my memory doesn't cloud my memory, would make some of you look quite foolish.
I just took a gander on your behalf. Dr. Dan didn't post a single time in that thread. I see one poster who consistently looks pretty foolish throughout the thread, though.
Who, exactly, aside from Dan, are the others you say might look quite foolish? Perhaps I can help dig up these posts...

A better question is why do you care this time, but never before? Suddenly since it was VE who makes this announcement, it must be all about shaming the GGA? Come on, dude - come up with something better or leave it alone.

I have to wonder why VE felt the need to make this a public announcement. People that leave gov positions are often allowed to ghost in a friendly alliance until they get settled in a new home.
To me, it looks like an attempt to embarrass GGA in what was (and should be) an internal matter.

It's pretty common to make public announcements when someone who has suddenly become "high profile" is being protected.
I have to wonder if it were a different alliance, say... TORN, that had made this announcement if you would have made a post like this.
